Worst Service Experience Imaginable - Beware the Service Department! ​I purchased a used 2016 Silverado from Heidenbreicht Chevrolet and had a great experience with the sales team. However, the service department has been a complete nightmare, and I urge anyone considering buying a vehicle here, especially a used one, to proceed with extreme caution. ​Within one month of purchase, while the truck was under full warranty, I brought it in for issues with hard shifting and transmission hesitation. ​Initial Refusal: Over the course of three separate visits, the service department insisted there was "nothing wrong" with the truck, despite my clear and repeated concerns. The staff was rude, dismissive, and demeaning, making me feel like my concerns were invalid. ​Management Intervention: I had to escalate the issue to management before they finally agreed to investigate. They eventually replaced the transmission wiring harness, assuring me the problem was solved. I immediately informed them that the issue was not fixed, but they swore it was fine and sent me on my way. ​Now, shortly after the warranty has expired, my truck has major transmission failure. I am left with a large repair bill and several years of payments remaining on a defective vehicle. ​Had the Heidebreicht Chevrolet service department simply done their job and properly diagnosed and fixed the transmission when I first brought it in--repeatedly--the repair would have been 100% covered under warranty. ​Instead, the only "solution" offered by Marissa was a measly $1,000 off a repair that is now going to cost thousands out of my own pocket. This offer is insulting and shows a complete lack of accountability for their negligence. ​In summary: The sales process was fine, but the service department is dishonest, incompetent, and unprofessional. They actively ignored a major problem while the truck was under warranty, resulting in significant financial damage to me. Do not trust their service department. read more

This was my first time buying a car from a dealer and every step of this process was easy and wonderful. I highly recommend coming here. I found the car I wanted listed online (a pre-owned equinox) and sent an inquiry and immediately Steve called me and talked me through it. He was incredibly friendly and helpful in teaching me how it works. I put a deposit on it until I could come see it and he held it for me. Absolutely the worst body shop. Tony and Jeff in that shop are extremely rude. Brought a new vehicle in for a bumper replacement and a paint bubble touch up after hitting a deer. Should have drove to a Detroit chop shop. They used a paint marker to try and mask the paint bubble that they chipped off and the paint was still chipping back. Tony apparently doesn't know anything about what's going on with this job so I had to speak with Jeff again who tried to convince me that's what I asked for. Both seemed to blame the other and lack of communication but either way i would be embarrassed to have employees like that dealing with customers. Hopefully if you get caught in a bind you can get your car to any other shop than this. read more

They don't do walk ins unless they have an appointment slot open I guess? I went in for an oil change around 11:30 on a Thursday and was told all their techs were on break from 11-1 (2 hour lunch break? Yeah okay) and that they could only schedule me the following day. I found it hard to believe they couldn't take me at all in the 8 and a half hour time frame that they were open. Ended up driving 30 minutes to Buff Whelan where it was an hour and a half wait but at least they got it done. read more

I purchased my Chevy 2500 from this dealership. My truck was purchased brand new. It been in the shop about 7 times in the last year. The problems with my truck are due to manufacturer problems and I'm not blaming the dealership for that. However, when I bring my car to them to get it fixed, I have no confidence they know what is going on. How is it that everyone can get their car back in 2-3 days but for me it's now 2 weeks and counting. They keep saying their specialist is going to look at it next. Then it was, we're going through some test with technical support. Now I'm waiting for a GM technician to come out to the dealership. I'm not knocking the dealership for the cars they are selling, it's the service that is horrible. It is obvious they don't have qualified people on site to fix my truck. read more

First, the vehicles ...2007 Chevy impala...100,000 plus miles...runs amazingly! 2009 corvette, immaculate... I love it! My friend, my daughter and I have all purchased vehicles from John Sabo and our experiences were Excellent! The times I have needed service on my vehicle it has always been a pleasant experience... I have had a lot of really negative experiences at local dealerships. This one was recommended by a friend who works for GM, saying they are very nice and accommodating. I was skeptical given all of my experiences at other nearby dealers. I walked in not knowing any of the sales people, but was greeted by Jacob Frank. Unlike the other dealers, he was not rude about the fact I had five remaining payments on my current lease. He clearly understood my situation and was there to provide me all options possible. He spent probably an hour and a half or more running numbers in front of me. I told him I didn't want to increase my payment. With various factors, Jacob was able to get my payment down close to where I needed it to be. I walked away that day without actually making the purchase. A couple of weeks later, I gave Jacob a call. He was very easy to reach and was able to explain the process to me. We did most of what needed to be done via phone or email. He was really responsive. He was able to get me to my exact payment with minimal money down. I was impressed by how nice and personable he was. His service was not something I was used to. The support staff at the dealer were also really nice. I didn't have much contact with others, aside from the financial guy. When I went in to pick up the car, it took maybe an hour. At other dealers, I've spent literal hours upon hours going through the process. I was happy that it was smooth and QUICK. I was out of there within an hour and a half, at most. Jacob also went over all the features on my car and made sure I had everything I needed to sign up for the Chevy Rewards, OnStar and SiriusXM. Just leased a truck from Heidebreicht, it's my fourth dealer purchase and by far the best new car transaction I've had. I was all over the place with what I wanted and the sales rep Jenna stayed with me the whole way through. Both the sales rep and the woman who did the financing paperwork Deanna were great. I had to have spoken to 5 dealerships and was most comfortable with this one. Seemed honest and truly in my best interest. The real "wow moment" was that I joked with them that my wife wouldn't be able to jump up into the truck and the sales rep went the extra mile and had placed a step stool in the truck before we got there. Recall Repair: Great dealership/service. I understand that waiting on parts took a while for the recall. Was told I would receive a call - but received several letters from GM/e-mails from OnStar and each time I called, was told parts were not in. Got yet another notice from OnStar and called to ask if I should again ignore the notice - but was then told parts were in and scheduled an appt. Don't know how long I would have had to wait on a call from the dealership. Was provided a loaner. Service Advisor/Rental Advisor were both very nice. When I picked up car, the only thing I noticed was that my car had not been washed (as it was when I'd brought it in previously). Bummer. Other than that - all good. read more

2013 chevy silverado, hand washed most of the time, taken care of. Rusting out from underneath me. I took to Heidlebreicht in Romeo, Mi (where i purchased it new). They asked if i took it down dirt roads. I said occasionally, am I not supposed to? With 24,000 miles they will not back the warranty, told me to pony up $3,000. I somehow mistreated the truck by taking it down occasional dirt roads. Chevy will not back this warranty (per the dealer). Do not buy from this dealership they do not stand behind their vehicles. Great experience at Heidebreicht's Service Center. James Panoff is a great service adviser who is upfront and honest with the customer. If there is a deviation to the repair order James will contact you first prior to commencing with the additional work and professionally explain the reason. I appreciate this treatment as opposed to high pressure, scare tactics used by other shops. Don't tell anybody but James is my favorite Service Advisor. I was disappointed in the service department and condition of my vehicle when it was returned from the service. I brought my Traverse in for routine preventative maintenance/fluid change and was told the car would be ready in the late afternoon. At 7 pm, after still not receiving a call to let me know the status of my vehicle, I decided to call the dealership. It took me several tries and voicemails to finally get my service advisor Tim Goodwin to call back to tell me my car had just been completed. When we picked the Traverse up it was filthy. I was given a car wash ticket to a place in Romeo because, even though they had the car since 9 am, they didn't find time to wash it. I don't come to Romeo very often so it will go unused. The interior smelled like gas/grease for several days after the service. This is the sort of service I could get at an oil & lube place for half the cost. I was hoping Heidebreicht Chevrolet would become our new Chevy dealer because you're closer to my home, but next time one of my vehicles needs service Ill drive the extra miles to Buff Whelan. read more

Leased a brand new car from them. They delivered to my house. Signed paperwork. Had another leased car to turn in. Driver will drive that car back. I took many pictures of my EXTREMELY MINT CONDITION car. NO SCRATCHES. NO DENTS. NO DAMAGE OF ANY KIND. MILES UNDER BY 8,000. Person drives car back to dealership and parks it in back. A week later, it gets inspected. 2 months go by and I get a invoice for about $500 in damage that is on the car. NONE BY ME. All my pictures, dated and timed stamped show ZERO DAMAGE THAT MORNING. Dealer unwilling to admit guilt or pay the consumer friendly amount due. Choose instead to wash their hands if issue claiming it was my problem. How can that be true with proof? After weeks of bantering back and forth, I have been forced to pay the amount. I requested I wanted to SEE THE REPAIRED COMPLETED CAR. "Car has already been sold" is what Ally Financial told me? Why then am I paying to fix the car, that I did not do, if the car is unavailable TO REPAIR? I know it was sold because I requested to get the car back to have it repaired for less. Money goes right in their pockets. After all this is said and done, this dealership response to $500 is that I will never use them and this dealership has caused to me to withdraw any future GM vehicles as they obviously do not care much for the customer for the measly $500 to them THAT IS NOT GOING TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE SINCE IT HAS ALREADY BEEN SOLD. Not a stand up company. Only care is to line their pockets. A terrible experience altogether. Sick of the hassles and wasted time. This is one American car company I will never again purchase from. The service department at Heidebreicht Chevrolet does not stand behind their work. I had a water pump replaced on my car and in the process another part was damaged that connects directly to the water pump. This caused my engine to whine upon operation. There is a GM service bulletin describing this very problem should the water pump not be installed correctly. The dealership acknowledged the service bulletin and concurred that the damaged part was connected directly to the water pump. Despite this, Heidebreicht service held me responsible for the additional cost to repair the vehicle. After much deliberation, the dealership agreed to reduce the cost for the additional repair, but ultimately GM had to step in to make this right. This dealership does not stand behind their work. I do not recommend this dealership for service. read more
