Water was accumulating on the floor in my master bath and appeared to be coming from under the base board. There was obviously previous water damage in the area. The amount of water was not a lot nor was it constant but there was obviously a leak somewhere. I was referred to GPS by a friend. Ed and Ryan arrived on time, were very professional and very thorough in investigating the source. I was especially impressed by the manner in which they educated me along the way. I am a person who likes to understand the process, the problem and then possible solutions. They determined the problem, which was very misleading and took about one hour. I was not charged for the visit and they gave me estimates to either repair the problem or replace the toilet (which they informed me was original from the '70s) . I called them that afternoon with my decision to replace the toilet (which was only $200 more than the repair job). To my surprise, they were still in my area and able to come back within the hour! I had a brand new, shiny toilet completely installed and functional in no time AND that same day!! Prices are reasonable, plumbers are professional, thorough and knowledgeable. i have low water pressure from the shower head in my bathroom. plumbers i spoke to wanted to break bath tiles to replace the valve that controls water flow. cost of that work is often more that $500. i called GPS plumbing to see if there is a cheaper alternative. upon seeing the video i sent along, the owner confirmed what the other plumbers said, that the usual low cost alternative, which is to replace the cartridge inside of the valve, is probably not going to work. the valve that is installed in this bathroom is not manufactured any more and you can't find replacement cartridges. however, this is what surprises me, he recommended another plumber. he said the other guy might have replacement cartridges. sure enough, the other plumber not only confirmed my situation and also found the replacement for me. although i didn't use their service i still want to recommend GPS plumbing for their honesty and customer first mentality. i feel that they are really in the business to help customers. plumbing problems are complex, as home owners we don't have the proper knowledge to identify root causes so what i ofter fear is spending money on a wrong fix. for me, it is more important to hire a honest plumber than hiring one who charges the lowest hourly rate. and GPS is my choice. read more

After my Mom fell and broke her hip, there was no way she could use her tub any longer, so I desperately needed someone to tear out the tub and replace with a walk in shower before she got out of rehab. I called 3 companies to come give me a quote and GPS Plumbing was the first one there and on time. The other 2 would say they were running late and I eventually canceled them because of this and what the future work might look like with them. I explained to Ed and his son the need for this work to be done on time before my Mom returned and exactly how I needed the shower to look like, including ADA handrails and fixture positions. When Lowes came to set up my new washer, they would not hook up the washer because my supply pipes were very corroded and they were afraid they would break them. They said I needed to call a plumber. I asked a neighbor if she had any recommendations. She said GPS Plumbing had installed a toilet for her and that she liked them. I called them on a Friday, and they said they could come Monday and they would call me 20 minutes or so before arrival. They called as promised and gave an estimate, one lower, one higher based on how much they had to do. At the same time, I had a new toilet that my husband was going to install but I asked them if they would give me a price on installing that as well. I explained I did not expect them to be able to do the toilet today. He started the job, it needed the lesser repair and told me they could do the toilet today as well. I had a bad back up in my shower. Plunger, Draino, etc. Nothing would clear it. The home I live in is Old and the people who lived here before me did a number on the plumbing. This issue had been going on for years and I finally couldn't fix it myself. I got on google to find a plumber and called all down the list and everyone was booked through the holidays (it's 12/16, that is like a week without a shower). I finally called GPS Plumbing and they were here within the hour. The terrible plumbing that is in this house did not detour the professional gentleman that came to my home. I had a leak under my sink from the garbage disposal. I tried fixing it myself because it didn't look too hard but the leak just got worse. I called GPS and Ed answered promptly. I asked for a quote and got the best one from him after calling around. He said he just finished a job and would be at my place within the next hour if that was ok with me. Luckily I was available at that time to be home and they showed up within 30 minutes. Ryan told me it was my garbage disposal and that he would take care of it for me. He was so efficient that he was in and out of the house in less than 30 min. After they left I tested dishwasher and checked to see if leak was still there. I initially requested some info through yelp and Ryan was the first company to reply to me. I called and spoke to Ed on the phone and he was so friendly and helpful, I knew I would be calling him back once I was ready to get the work done. I had one leaky toilet and one toilet that barely worked. Ed and Ryan installed two new "comfort height" toilets and were very friendly and helpful in showing and explaining to me what they'd done. They also installed levers for my outside hose and main water shut off for the house. I personally think sometimes it's worth the cost to know a job is done right by experts and I could not be more pleased with the outcome and my experience. Called on a Sunday night (after extensive online research for the best plumbing service); the owner showed up first thing Monday morning; on a Holiday! He provided an online estimate and was less expensive than other, less highly rated plumbers, including Lowes and Home Depot. Our water heater was replaced in less 2 hours and the area was left clean. GPS Plumbing did not take any shortcuts either; all the previous plastic pipe was replaced with copper, the turn handle was replaced with a lever shut off valve, an expansion tank was added, a pan was added, and pipe to our existing floor drain was added. Plus the new tank has copper drain pipe and is a better model. This is an owner business; not a franchise that sends "technicians". Highly recommend! read more

Was notified by the city I had excessive water use and I had a leak somewhere. I searched for a plumber and called GPS. Within an hour they were at my door. They immediately found the leak and it was a big one. Within an hour and a half, they had it repaired and repaired correctly. I review bad businesses, but this business is as good as it gets. Contacted Gomiela Plumbing to install a new kitchen faucet. On the day of the appointment, they called in advance to let me know they were on their way. During the installation, they noticed the valves under the sink were corroded and showed me the problem. They were able to repair those as well. I really appreciate the fact that they noticed an additional problem that could have been a much bigger issue if it wasn't repaired right then. The Gomiela father and son team are great. Father and son came out to provide me an estimate on plumbing associated with a remodel of kitchen and bathroom. While estimating the job the electrician working the job asked if they could move a vent pipe which they did. Please note, they moved it on the spot...... I unfortunately could not use them because of my bathroom contractor. When I contacted them and asked that they send me a bill for moving the vent pipe they told me "don't worry about it"?????? GPS has helped me with several plumbing issues. I have a rental house and often the tenants have issues. GPS makes it easy to work with the tenant's schedule and issues. They have always been price wise, and provided excellent service. This last time, the tenant didnt wait long enough for the water to get hot and claimed there was an issue.
