I had a leaking pipe underneath a mobile home bathroom sink that Tucker Plumbing charged me $400 to repair with patched-together fittings bcz, Geraldo told me, it's a 1983 mobile home and parts were no longer available. I used Tucker 10+ years ago with great success and great prices but it's not the same. The tech guy was back and forth on the phone with Geraldo for a couple hours about what to do. Geraldo didn't suggest replacing with all new pipes. A month later George at clearclogs.com replaced the pipes and fittings with new for the same price. For another job Geraldo delayed ordering parts for weeks, I was grossly overcharged for both jobs. Tucker, do better, we depended on you. Sadly, no more. read more

Had tiling completed in the Master Bath and the tilers, when removing the toilet ruined the mounting screws and the mounting flange. The first plumber saw all sorts of peroblems. Estimated that the repair would cost between $ 800 and $1800. Cut rate was the next plumber to come and did not see any of the problems the first plumber did. They went to work, completed the install and did so for less than half the estimated $ 800 lowest cost quoted by the previous plumber. Outstanding Company. Now our go-to plumbers. read more

Called these guys to repair a slab leak. The first call was to an older man who said he would call me back with a person to detect the leak. No call back. Later, after hiring a leak detection company to locate the leak, I called and spoke to someone who told me they would be out the next morning first thing to repair the leak. When asking for an estimated time I was told they are supposed to show up first thing in the morning but these crews show up whenever they like if at all. "You know how these guys are". Already not a good sign. Then next morning, I call them around 9 am and they tell me they will be out soon. No call back and no show. We had a water heater replaced and some of the water pipes changed. We went from a 50 gallon to a 30 gallon that sat on a stand off the floor. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work that was done. My problem comes with the pricing. When I got the bid, after they came to the house and looked at the job, I was told by the employee that he had given me a great price break, and the price of $1350. included everything. When I booked the appointment, I specifically reviewed the cost. I asked him if that was everything, including labor, pipes and stand. I told him I didn't want any surprises. He said that the price included EVERYTHING. When the job was complete and I was presented with the bill, I was told that the original quote of $1350 didn't include the stand, so I now owed $1450. I told the employee that I had been assured I would only owe $1350, and he said he knew that the stand had been left off the price because he installs a lot of the same unit and the cost is always $1350, plus $100 for the stand. I paid it and called the office. I spoke to the man who had come out and given me the original bid. I told him I felt as if I had been scammed, that he had lied to me. He assured me he was sorry and would speak to Mr. Tucker about sending me a refund for the $100. I have never heard from them again. We have another large job we need done. The service was okay. They were not prepared for the job on Friday so they had to return on Monday. While we had no water over the weekend, causing our family to get a hotel for the weekend. Then they guys shows up. And he's rude. After asking him to repeat himself because he mumbled so bad, his response was "you can't hear huh" I am disabled veteran, with hearing loss. Needless to say. His comments were not received well. He went on to complete the repair but not before he literally farted in our home in front of my wife several times (3-4) my wife was disgusted and removed herself. Set an appointment for a Monday late afternoon. They did not show up and when we called, they said they were stuck on a job and rescheduled for the next morning between 8:30 and 9am. No show again. I was pleased untill I saw the bill. Tucker charged me $800 for a 20 gal water tank, the told me they don't make my water tank anymore, and should be thankful they found one. I live in a mobile home and have no room for a larger one. The next day I called Mobile Home Depot, that had one there for $320. I had to unsatisfactory experience with Tucker's plumbing 1: I went into the store looking for two toilets one morning and the employee behind the desk never looked up to greet me and never offered to assist me even after I asked him was there any additional inventory other than what was available in the store so I left and went to one of the large-chain home stores and purchased my toilets. 2: The day before Thanksgiving, I had a leak under my kitchen sink, I called Tucker's and asked if someone could come out on that day and before I could express what my issue was I was verbally cut and was told that no one could come out for two weeks and then right after my call with Tucker's called another plumbing company expressed what my issue was and they took the time to assist me over the phone, with success mind you, that is the difference between good and poor customer service!! I have used this company a few times. My insurance company wanted us to replace some corroded fittings on 2 sinks and our washing machine. I called at 10:00 in the morning and they showed up at 2:00 the same day. They had everything necessary on their truck. They rebuilt the 2 sinks and replaced the washing machine hoses and fittings in 3 hours. The 2 men who came were very friendly and professional. I called on Thursday needing a dishwasher installed. I was told someone would do it Friday, but if not it would be done on Monday for sure. Monday 4:00 I assume that no one is coming. I took the piece to Tucker's and within 30 seconds of showing the piece he had the replacement in his hand. We had other plumbing issues that he he looked at the photos in my phone and figured out how to fix it, explained it, and got ALL the correct pieces. A+ prices too. I've used these guys for years, friendly and very knowledgeable staff, extensive stocking of hard to find parts at decent prices, never used their outcall plumbers yet. Today they outdid themselves with a very old and extremely stuck Moen tub cartridge I needed to replace that wouldn't budge. First they gave me great advice and gave me free the small plastic removal tool. Second, they correctly diagnosed the type and model of replacement cartridge, sold it to me for a reasonable price up front to save another trip back with the old part and the water off. Lots of helpful advice of how to use the Moen tool in case in the worst possible case the stem broke off. It did of course, this thing was stuck tight, decades old. Then, they gave me more great advice by phone to use vinegar to dissolve old calcium deposits and offered to send a plumber out if I couldn't get it, since now it's an emergency with broken cartridge and water can't be turned back on. With the vinegar and the largest screw extractor from Harbor Freight it finally came. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful, I can't recommend these guys highly enough, this business is a tremendous asset to the community, thanks again John and all! read more

I went to their business on Thursday in need of a toilet. They showed me the toilets they had on hand with the specifications. I went home and measured what I curently have and decided to order and have them install. They set an appiontment for the next day by 0830. They called at 0825 in my driveway. The installers were very professional and install took all of 45 minutes and they took the old toilet with them. This company is professional and reliable and their prices are fair. Tucker made a service call to my Mother's who has been a customer of Tucker's before the current owners were born. She was told she needed a new pump and they would be back to install one. No one called and no one showed so my 90 yr old Mother was left for the weekend with no running water. The office is supposed to be open on Sat according to a barely understandable answering machine but no one answers either that number nor the two "emergency" numbers and no one responds to a voice mail. Evidently "cut rate" refers to the service. She's been a customer for a long time but I think it's time for a change. read more
