Ordered a coffee milk tea with boba

This review is only specific to this drink which is the coffee milk tea with boba. I came in around 1:30PM and service was fast and nice. However, the drink itself was not good. I was disappointed as I've had other drinks at different Gong Cha locations and they were quite good. This one tasted chemical-y and the boba was not fresh. I ended up throwing it away. I definitely won't be getting this drink again at this location, but will try others and can update the review then.

Super shocked that Bakersfield has a Gong Cha now omg!!!!! My friend and I went the first day of the grand opening. We assumed it would be its own storefront so imagine our reaction when we saw it was inside a gas station haha. It was really nice and clean though! We thought it was really cool but it did throw us off for a good second. I ordered the matcha milk tea while he ordered the taro milk tea. He was a little upset though since they didnt have caramel milk tea. I guess the bakersfield menu was pretty limited? Anyways we tried the drinks and we both enjoyed it!! Thank you!

Gong Cha has been everywhere internationally. :) The first time I tried Gong Cha is when I was in Asia. This boba place is located inside the Tobbins store near the gasoline station. Went here on their 2nd day of grand opening and they had the BOGO bobas which was a great deal! I loved the flavors, customer service, and cleanliness of the place! Only gave 4 stars bec. the drink wasn't cold enough and I think the portion/size is smaller than the usual boba places i go to. Nevertheless, this is a good place to try bubble teas as they have variety of flavors to choose from :)

Amazing how Bakersfield finally has a Gong Cha! We gave it a visit today and had their BOGO deal for their grand opening. We got the pearl milk tea as well as the mango smoothie and brown sugar milk tea. Everything tasted super good!

Today I went on over to @gongchatea for the grand opening and here is what I got (Photo 1) Drinks at Photo Booth (Photo 2/3) Labeled Drinks Pearl Milk Tea w/boba (5 stars) Tai Iced Green Tea (5 stars) Brown Sugar Milk Tea (5 stars) (Photo 4/5) Interior (Photo 6-8) Exterior (Photo 9/10) Flyers Overall (5 stars) The drinks were delicious. The staff were friendly. The music was loud, but that's only because of the grand opening.

Went to get the cute gingerbread boba drinks! My favorite was the red velvet boba & it came with Oreo toppings I loved it! The cups are so cute

Mango Milktea and Brown Sugar Milktea a must try

I always order is either Creme Brulle or Brown sugar milktea. For me it is the best and must try. Service and ambiance is good. Very clean.

His cute little hat is hiding the screw on lid so you can close it and put in the fridge for later!

The drinks were very good and the Christmas containers we received were adorable. The staff even offered a cute Christmas bag to help carry things out. I'm looking forward to being able to reuse it since it wasn't the typical brown, throw away bag. I was surprised to have such a nice experience in a place located at a gas station. Not at all what I expected. Definitely going back!

Brown sugar milk tea was good, but they did not add pearls like we ordered on one of our drinks and they weren't even busy ‍ we had already left the place when we realized and didn't want to go back.

As I was walking I saw the sign for this place and was happy I did because my other coffee options were a fast food restaurant or the famous coffee chain. It was a bit confusing to locate. It was tucked away in the back of a commercial office space type building. Once inside the place was very clean and organized. Very minimalist design. I was only one of 4 total people inside. My order was taken quickly. I ordered an iced americano with a ham and cheese turnover. Coffee was on point. No notes. No complaints. The pastry however was not good. They asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said I did. I saw her put it in the microwave, and I assumed they turned it on. When I bit into it (I had already left and walked across the street) it was cold. Like cold cold. On top of that it was flavorless which made it worse. Stick to the coffee or make sure you check the temp of the food prior to leaving.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. I ordered a lavender latte with oat milk, and it was flavorful but not overly sweet. The food menu is small, with a few baked goods available. As a vegan, the only option I found was instant oatmeal with a selection of dried fruit and nuts to mix in. While I appreciated having a vegan option, I would love to see a few more plant-based choices added to the menu. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely return for the coffee and the comfortable space to meet with friends.

THE GRUB: The Cuban coffee is outstanding, and the Vietnamese iced coffee is one of the best around, actually its the only one around. If im clueless let me in on the Vietnamese coffe you know of...anyhoo If you're looking for a caffeine kick, the cold canned Vietnamese coffee will give you a jolt you wouldn't believe. Food-wise, the Peruvian grilled cheese sandwich was flavorful and well made, but I'd recommend asking for the sauce on the side unless you enjoy a messy sandwich. The ham and cheese croffel had great flavor, but it was a little light on the ham and cheese. I think the cropples are better suited in the sweet variety as they seem small incompressants to a ham and cheese croissant someone would purchase for about half that price. In my opinion, it was more of a kid's snack than a meal and not quite worth the price, if you're actually hungry I would go with something else off the menu. Everything was made fresh , you must be patient here , perfection can be slower than your metabolism, so dont go there hangry. During my visit, Hector explained that he envisions Uncharted Adventures as a gathering place for the community. The business frequently hosts weekend vendor markets and local running clubs. Hector also shared he was creating a dedicated Memorial Day wall honoring local veterans, first responders, and teachers, while also working on an outdoor eating area. It's always great to see a Hector and Chris, and the new Adventures they take on. This is one of the few coffee shops in Bako worth checking out, whether you're stopping in for a coffee, a bite to eat, or a community events theyre hosting give em a visit an introduce yourself. You can thank me later. .Overall I would give everything a four and a half Stars but since Yelp doesn't do half Stars I'll give them a five out of five stars. As they deserve a free half star for all of the Uncharted Adventures that they are a part of...lol get it.. nevermind.. bye for now...

I questioned the soft cookie texture but once mixed it the hints of Biscoff were quite good. Milk options include WHOLE and OAT which was a bit limited. The bathroom is quite fancy and clean. And service was very friendly. Seems like a popular local spot.

Something old-world maybe? Like a flavor that's existed for centuries and been passed down through time and so so many generations... and it's now landed in our corner of the world that's just a few blocks away? Globalization and the world within, for f' sakes! This place is truly brilliant. More recently, I'm only in town a few days out of the week, but I make a point to visit this location or their other location, Mokhamena on Panama, each day I'm here to, at a minimum, pick up two for myself--the first one is to function and the second is to savor. There was a time I'd pick up the party-size for my coworkers when I liked them... but alas, times have changed so more for me. The staff there are always friendly and awesome, and on days that I'm lucky enough, I get to actually enjoy the cafe. So grateful you guys are here and sharing flavors from across the world.

Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
