The best service for their guests! We were a late group straggling in after an Inssa Korean gastropub visit. They were so kind and welcoming over and beyond hospitable. Our boba teas, smoothies, cloud and hot teas came out lightning fast! Very tasty with adjustments of sweetness to our liking. I've been wanting to try Gong Cha out for some time now and didn't realize there was one so close to me. I got the marble matcha & it was pretty good. A little powdery towards the end but not too bad. My mom really liked the mango smoothie. She also got boba added to hers and said it was nice and chewy. Delicious drinks. I got the lemon ai yu with basil seeds, 50% sweet and no ice. It was so delicious, I didn't even have time to take a photo before I drank nearly half of the drink. My boyfriend's got the mango marble, who subsequently inhaled the drink. My sibling got the thai tea, which was good but per them, not that customizable. There are little kiosks in the store that make ordering very easy, and all drinks are very customizable. They also don't charge for no ice, which is lovely. It was not busy when we walked in, so it was nice and quiet while we were waiting for the drink. We also got to watch the employees make our drinks, which was pretty fun. I've been to this Gong Cha location at least 30 times, but after today, I'm done. I walked in and asked politely for an extra-large peach green tea that was being advertised on their screen. The cashier, Mary (who I later found out is the owner), snapped that it was "only for New York" and pointed to their menu above with a rude attitude. I switched to my usual -- a green iced tea with passionfruit syrup, no toppings -- which I've ordered many times before. She claimed it "wasn't on the menu" and acted like I was a problem for even asking. She was clearly irritated, yelling for her husband for help while calling him "babe," ignoring ringing phones, and huffing as if I was annoying her by just placing an order. When I asked if she was mad, she sharply said, "What do you want?" I repeated my order and she said it wasn't possible -- again, something I literally ordered the night before. I told them to forget it and left, only to hear her talking about me behind my back. That's when I told her she didn't have to be so fucking rude, and I called her a bitch. She deserved a slap in the face. I've never experienced anything so crazy at a tea place before. This was beyond unprofessional. So the only reason why I came here was because of my amazing experience in Taiwan. When I heard that they opened in the US I was quite eager to try it but never had a chance to. I was not able to try the Rowland Heights location, but after this experience I don't think I will be doing that. When I went the staff seemed friendly, but I was confused after I asked if they had Oolong, they said they did but it wasn't on the menu. When they rang me up it said earl grey. I tried to order a Oolong Milk tea with fresh milk, and I would say the drink was just average. There are definitely other choices in the area that I believe taste a lot better. On top of that the drinks are quite expensive. About $18 with three drinks ordered, two average size and one large.. When I tell you I JUMPED when I saw that a Gong Cha opened closet to me, I jumped with joy! The other location was a 20+ minute drive (I am not a road warrior so I know that distance may mean nothing to some.) I had to call the location and ask if they were really open! I saw that it was closing soon (don't worry, I did not arrive 5 mins before closing) so I did not hesitate to jump in my car and go on my way. When I walked in, you could instantly tell it was new. Everything was SO clean. The shop is a bit smaller than the one in the City of Industry but it is still very nice. I ordered the Peal Milk Tea w 50%, 100% sugar, and easy boba. Safe to say that it tasted JUST like the one in the City of Industry. I can tell this is going to be a good location. I am SO looking forward to coming here often! read more

Yay; super excited for another boba milk tea shop to open in Chino Hills! I feel like each shop has their special flavor and specialities. I had the green milk foam tea 30% sweet & I loved the milk foam!! Delish! The ambiance and decor inside the shop was nice. Loved the eco friendly sugarcane straws. I loved how they had a section on their menu above that listed the popular drinks cause I always ask that! Hope this location gets more traffic. We opted for the Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3J, which comes with three toppings: boba, pudding, and herbal jelly. We were able to substitute the pudding for crystal boba and adjusted the sweetness to 50%. The drink was still a bit too sweet for us, probably because of all the toppings. Next time, I would get a lower sweetness level. It will depend on your preferences, though, so 50% may be perfect for you. My boyfriend and I still enjoyed our drink from Gong Cha. I wanted to try taro milk tea for the first time and this was like the closest boba place to me, the ambiance was nice, smelled like tea which is pretty expected of a boba shop haha! I had sent in a younger sibling to grab 2 straws and were denied the straws because we hadnt purchased the drink that day, it was a drink from the day prior. I usually frequent the locations in Irvine, and City of Industry. I was really shocked to check Gong Cha's Instagram to see "Grand Opening Chino Hills." Placed an order online through Gong Cha's website around 5:10 p.m. on a Thursday, and set it for a later pick up time, 5:45 p.m.. I got there maybe 10 minutes after the time I set, and upon arrival, I was told my drinks have been ready for about 30 minutes. The staff was very friendly and offered to remake my drinks. Because only one drink contained ice and foam, I kindly asked for it to be remade. They didn't make it seem like a nuisance at all. Drinks: Marble Matcha. 8/10. I had thought it was a blended drink, but it was a matcha milk tea with foam spread on the sides. It was slightly grainy, which I assume is because of the matcha powder. QQ Passionfruit Tea. 9/10. Exactly what was expected! Ordered 70% sweetness and it was perfect. Also ordered with no ice because I just put it in my fridge for later. Earl Grey Tea. 10/10. No sweetener, no ice. No way to mess it up! Staff: Friendly! I didn't feel like a bother to them, which I usually feel like at tea shops, not even because I ask for anything, but because other places make you feel like a nuisance for coming in. Went with my family and my mom and I ordered taro smoothies, one 50% and one 70%. The woman made them both at the same time (in the same blender) and I watched her pour both drinks into our cups. Then she turned around and gave them to us. So I commented that she didn't follow our order with 50% and 70%. I love their brown sugar London fog milk tea. I'm a big boba tea drinker and this milk tea is my current top 1 pick for milk tea. Usually I adjust the sugar level but it's just perfect as it is. The owner is really nice and I love her customer service. It definitely is a plus!!! If you don't have good customer service then count me out even if you have great tea or drinks! Stopped by on a Monday afternoon and this location was empty, except for the employees sitting at one of the tables. I ordered the earl grey milk tea which comes with non-dairy creamer, versus the earl grey fresh milk which is made with whole milk. I requested 70% sweet and 50% ice, but wish I had gotten 50% sweet for more of an earl grey flavor. The milk tea was pretty solid and was made quickly. My qualm with this location is that their wifi isn't reliable, so this isn't the best place to get work done. Otherwise, there's plenty of tables and barstools available, and they're not blasting the music like other boba establishments. There's plenty of free parking available in the plaza. read more
