I can't believe how much the service at this Starbucks has declined. I spent $20 on a mobile order with four items, one of the food items was missing. When I politely let the employees know, instead of asking what was missing, she told me to check the bags sitting in front of me, which I had already done. That's the whole reason I was asking for help. One employee walked away, spoke to the person preparing food, then came back and continued making drinks without saying a single word to me. No update, no acknowledgment, nothing. When I asked if my food was being remade, I was completely ignored. I even said, "A little communication would help," and still got nothing. Eventually, someone who appeared to be the supervisor stepped in, apologized, and said they'd take care of it. The employee who initially "helped" acted like I was the problem instead of simply communicating. Mistakes happen. Forgetting an item isn't the issue. The issue is the complete lack of customer service and communication. If you're charging premium prices for coffee and food, customers deserve better than being ignored when something goes wrong. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service ever, either they're stupid or they can't hear I've been here several times and they have messed my order twice. Is it too hard to listen and get the damn order right? I asked for Matcha and get something totally different, when I asked them where is my drink they bold face lied and said that's what I ordered. Today I had an issue with an eGift card I purchased. When I opened it from the email, it asked for a secret code, but I searched everywhere and couldn't find it. I contacted customer service first, but they suggested I go to a store for help. So I came to the Chino Hills Starbucks. The store was extremely busy, and every employee was working hard helping customers. The girl who first assisted me couldn't solve the issue, so she called the store manager, Daniel. After asking a few questions, Daniel told me it was the first time he had seen this problem too. Even after trying several times, he still couldn't fix it immediately, but instead of giving up, he decided to call customer service himself using the store phone. While I was waiting, I watched him doing everything at once -- taking orders, making coffee, warming food, and talking with customer service at the same time. Even though the store was packed, he stayed calm, patient, and professional the entire time. I could really feel how much he cared about helping me. Thankfully, the issue was solved very quickly. But what touched me the most happened afterward. Daniel sincerely apologized for the inconvenience and mentioned that he noticed I was pushing a stroller in the very hot weather. Honestly, my baby had been crying in the car on the way there, and I was already feeling stressed and overwhelmed. But when Daniel looked me in the eyes and said those words so sincerely, I truly felt moved. There are probably 3 or 4 Starbucks locations nearby, yet this small store is still packed every day. After today, I completely understand why. A good manager creates a great team and atmosphere, and customers can genuinely feel the difference. read more

From 6-24-25 Ordered an off menu frapp drink. This being off menu images it more expensive. I asked the cashier 2 printouts of the drink contents sticker so I'll remember what's in it. This has never been a problem at other SBUX stores. The young cashier said she would half to put another order to do this. I said your manager should know how to this. She said, "the mgr isn't here right now." I asked for a supervisor. Cashier says, "the supervisor isn't here right now." Okay. This young inexperienced cashier is on her own with no proper management to supervise her. I went back to my drink order and asked her to whip it up really well so it won't go watery. I like it really whipped thick. There was an Asian barista not saying anything supportive but just minding his own business making drinks. They weren't even talking to each other. As I waited for my drink I see this woman come out from a back office, minding her own, moving about her business ignoring eye contact with anyone trying to seem invisible. Right away my sense was this is the supervisor or manager. This woman actually told the young cashier to LIE about not being there, so she didn't have to help me, a customer. I was the only customer in the store on this weekday afternoon. I took my drink and left the store. After drinking it 1/4 past the whip cream I didn't want a lot of, this frapp started to get watery. Tight lipped I was annoyed about this store lying and not getting my order right and paying for something that wasn't made right with an on-site mgr not doing her job. This is a very disappointing SBUX store for Chino Hills. Did I say the tables, chairs weren't wiped down and all unkept? Sad that almost IE stores have only averaged 2 stars for their poor quality service, for expensive drinks and poor district manager supervision and training. After calling several of those stores for a brainless question I was hung up's on because they were busy with customers. I thought I was a customer. I'm copying this message to email to the district mgr for SoCal so he'll see how his districts are by not providing the service the customers are paying for. This is a sad reflection of him if he's doing his job right. I got his contact info from a Chino store that was nicer than this, where his business cards were available. Extremely unhappy here. Unacceptable Behavior at Starbucks - Holiday Bear Mug Debacle Today was supposed to be exciting. The release of Starbucks' holiday bear mugs. Like many others, we showed up early, eager and hopeful. We arrived an hour before opening, and saw the mugs clearly displayed on the shelf. We weren't alone, others in line saw them too. But when the doors opened, the mood shifted. Employees announced they had none in stock, claiming zero were shipped to their location. That was a blatant lie. What is interesting, When they opened the doors, an employee announced that only 1 cup per person, why make that announcement if you are claiming you didnt recieve anything. Hmmmm!!!! When we confronted them rightfully so, one employee flat-out denied we saw anything. Another, visibly nervous, admitted they had 10 mugs, only to backtrack immediately when her coworkers shot her a warning look. It was obvious. They were caught. And instead of owning up, they chose to deceive. We told them what everyone already knew: they took the mugs for themselves and stashed them in the back. From what I understand, employees are strictly prohibited from holding or reserving newly released merchandise. Yet here they were, breaking policy and betraying customer trust. The crowd was furious. People demanded answers. The staff froze with no explanation, no accountability, just more denial. It was insulting. This wasn't just poor service. It was dishonest, unethical, and deeply disappointing. Starbucks needs to investigate this location and take action. Customers deserve better. We showed up early, followed the rules, and were met with lies and manipulation. Make this right. Message also sent to Starbucks Business center. read more

Stopped in to this Chino Hills Pkwy location as I needed my fix of caffeine on this overcast and bit chilly day. Pre-ordered through the app and was pleasantly served by Wendy. If she isn't the manager, Starbucks needs to make her the manager because her demeanor and customer service is a breath of fresh air. I placed a mobile order to be picked up as we were driving through this area on the way back from a trip. This is small location with limited seating, and no soft seating at all that I saw. There was a barista and checkout person there, neither of whom acknowledged or even looked at me as I waited for my drink - very unusual for most Starbucks I frequent. They seemed busy with both mobile orders and walk-ins. My drink was fine; it took longer than I would have expected, but granted they were busy. Overall, this is a so-so Starbucks - fine to stop in for a drink to go, but ambiance is definitely nothing special/comfy and staff was not welcoming or friendly as in most Bux. read more

As I sit here waiting I can see one girl with pink hair working as she talks, and the other is just standing there talking - not working on anything. Her name tag looks like maybe Joanna? Would never come back to this store on purpose. Another customer just walked in and is more friendly than the workers are. I came into the store around 12/12:15 PM today, October 13th, 2023. A girl named "Kat" (how ironic, bc my name is also "Kat") took my order. I (tried to) order a trenta matcha latte & a customized, trenta mango dragonfruit drink. The order for this one is a trenta mango dragonfruit drink with no water, extra base, and no inclusions. They made this drink so wrong and I literally watched them put water (instead of melting ice in the shaker cup) and then shake it all up. (Tbh, I didn't think that was my order at first and I'm so anxious that I felt like I couldn't say anything, so this was my fault.) I also asked if they could make a matcha latte in a trenta cup since I've had it done for me multiple times before in the city where I reside. Kat told me that they couldn't do that since there was no pricing for it, but if I got a tall and a venti, she could put it in the trenta cup. I felt awful for asking for such a complicated order, but I ended up saying yes to avoid confrontation even though I felt like they were blatantly overcharging me for a drink I get nearly every day. I waited for my order to be completed & once it was, I knew they had made my drink wrong. I asked for an extra hefty scoop of matcha in the beginning when I was getting rang up, but I guess she didn't hear me bc it wasn't printed on the label :/ When I asked if I could have an extra scoop of matcha at the pick up counter, a girl named "Bethany" asked me to remove the lid to my drink and then proceeded to dump a spoonful of matcha powder on top of my ice. I was so shocked I literally said "thank you" and left. I sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes debating whether or not I should go back in after asking my friend who owns a Starbucks in my city if that's normal. She said it wasn't and that it's very rude. Every time I've asked for an extra scoop of matcha in my cup before even drinking it, the baristas normally ask if I would like to have it remade or shaken with the original drink. Never in my life would I have thought this would happen. I called the store a few hours later to tell them since I was rushing to work after placing my order here. When I came in earlier this evening, Chloe (whom I talked to on the phone) got up from her break to tell her coworkers that I'm the one who called on the phone. Chloe, Monica, & Bailey really made my review go from a 1 star to a 5 star! They made me feel understood and were very empathetic with what happened earlier today. They refunded me with no problem and even remade my drinks! Bailey asked me to try the drinks before I left & I thought it was a very sweet detail I had to mention. @ Bethany & Kat : DO BETTER. If you don't like your job, don't work there!
