6/6/26. Hubby got his taro smoothie and I got mango green tea. That was very refreshing!

6/6/26 I must admit, i'm not one to wait for more than 15 minutes for any kind of drink, hot or cold and for some reason, this one took at least 30 minutes, which is extraordinary for any kind of drink at all. Hence the 3 stars. The only 2 staff there, 2 young ladies were no slouch at all, they were slammed! They both moved with a purpose. It's a very small shop. There were 2 kiosks as soon as you walked in. I counted 11 customers including myself waiting for their drinks. No outdoor seating, only 3 small tables with 7 chairs, 1 bench that sat 4 adults, no restrooms. This used to a candy shop a while back. Normally I would take photos of the establishment but there were too many people inside & I did not want to bother them & include them in the photos, if I could help it at all. I ordered via kiosk coz the staff were ultra bz. Usually, I prefer the human interaction but not encountered at this visit. Got the taro smoothie for Hubby & got an iced mango green tea, both were decent. I liked my refreshing drink at 50 % sweetness level & easy on the ice. Next time, for any Gong Cha shop, will go on an odd time, not when it's prime time like weekends. It was good but waiting in a small shop for 30 minutes was long, if it was food for a party of 4 or more, I would've been more forgiving. Decor needs a little bit of work, nothing flashy, just, something, anything lol :-)

All gongho for Gong Cha. This bubble tea spot does it all. Their menu includes options like milk teas, fruit teas, and even energizing beverages. They also have mochi desserts for anyone seeking a small bite. I wanted to try something a little different and ordered the yogurt passionfruit fruit tea with boba. The drink was light and refreshing, but possibly a little too sweet for me. Either way though, I gulped this bad boy up while walking the many isles of Barnes & Noble. Looking forward to exploring more of their extensive tea menu.

6/5/26 Gong Cha Long Beach, CA...Came here at 9 am Opening. Met Henry who works here! Awesome guy! He made my XL upgraded Honey Lemon Levitea! Great drink, low calories, low sugar! I totally recommend everyone come check this place out as Henry shows great customer service and this specific drink was perfectly made! Cool little place to hang out in the morning! See you here!!!

Amazing service, one gal running the whole packed store on her own with the biggest smile, so patient (my 1st time) and so helpful! 9 guests ahead of me. I ordered something with Matcha and Boba, so refreshing, not overly iced like most places, not overly sweetened; perfection! I really enjoyed it on my walk back to the marina. Not overly priced either. Love the ambiance, so many cute trinkets to purchase. I will definitely return!

Gentleman at the counter was super sweet and quick at making drinks! I came in for the Felix PCs and he offered to trade my duplicates so I could complete the set :) The drinks were also delicious!! I bought a few for family and friends, and not one complaint of being overly sweet or too watered down. Thank you again!

This is a tiny boba shop at the Marina Pacifica near the movie theater. Plan to take your drinks to-go because there's nowhere to sit and chat. My peach yogurt had an odd sweet taste and it was also too sweet at 50% sweetness. Their service was great! The guy working last Wednesday in the afternoon was very kind and quick to make my drink. This place is worth another shot.

Its always a good place to vibe, hang out, and get a drink or two...or maybe even four. The place is always clean and they have 2 self serve kiosks apart from the cashier so you dont wait long. They are really fast and its always a good time. Plenty of parking and they have the best staff!!!

Newer Boba spot in Marina Pacifica. Very small place but organized. Parking is usually easy in this area. Service is ordering off the Kiosk (there are two to order from). We were greeted by someone in the back (at least two people were working the back area). We figured out quickly just to order off the kiosk vs waiting at the counter. Our drinks were very slow to come out. A party waiting in front of us (4 drinks) and then us (3 drinks) and two other single parties came in. The drinks are bit higher priced vs other Boba placed in Long Beach. We ordered two Thai Ice Teas, with added pearls (and up charge) and one Early Gray Milk Tea. All drinks were ordered with 50% sweetness and 50% ice. Ice was perfect. Sweetness, all three thought too sweet and very thankful we did 50%! Pearls were just okay, and not many in our drinks. Taste was good but not amazing. For the price and wait, we had higher expectations.

I usually really enjoy Gong Cha--especially their Logan Honey drink, which is perfect for people who can't have caffeine. However, this particular location isn't as good as others I've been to. The drink itself was just okay, but the boba was disappointing both times I visited--mushy on the outside and hard in the center, which really took away the enjoyment. The shop is also quite small with very limited seating, 2 tables only and few bench seatings making it less comfortable if you plan to stay and enjoy your drink. There are two kiosks for ordering, but it still took a while to get the drink. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and welcoming! If not because I wanted some drink before the movie , we probably wouldn't even come here..

Earl Grey Tea (medium, recommended 50% sweetness)

Gong Cha is a boba franchise that originally started in 2006 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. They have over 1,000+ locations worldwide and they just opened a new location here in Long Beach. I'm more surprised that it took me this long to finally try Gong Cha for the very 1st time. [Parking]: Easy and free parking - this plaza is pretty dead. [Amenities]: No restroom indoor and was told by cashier that restroom access is via AMC next door. Small indoor space with two tables and two outdoor patios. Honestly this is mostly a take-out spot. [Menu]: Customers can order in person or via kiosk machines. Some of more popular drinks are Earl Grey Fresh Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Milk Tea. I was surprised to see kiosk machines provided automatic recommendation on sweetness level for my drink. *** Earl Grey Tea (medium, recommended 50% sweetness): Right sweetness level, but the drink just didn't hit the spot. *** Overall this is an alright tea shop - think of this shop as a convenient tea shop to stop by in this part of the town & I wouldn't drive out of the way for it.

This little cafe is wedged in to the Marina Pacifica shopping center on the AMC theaters and Howard's Appliances side. There should be plenty of parking available on any given day and they are open late (which is great news when you randomly have a boba craving and other places are closed). I've typically ordered their version of the brown sugar milk with boba and while the pearls are on the softer side of what I prefer, prices for a medium drink feel reasonable ($6ish). You can order from the kiosk to expedite if you're really thirsty! The interactions I've had with staff have been friendly - smiles when order is called, compliments on my little dog - and I will likely come back to perhaps try a caffeinated drink one of these days when I'm not rolling in before midnight!

Kiosk order vs. personal order - there's a great debate on which is preferred. While I believe kiosks are the way of the future, they lack the personal touch of interacting with the shop staff. What could have taken me less than a minute to order by asking the cashier for their top preferences, I ended up browsing through the kiosk back and forth, trying to decide what to order. Although I could have easily walked over to the cashier and asked, I was captivated by the colorful and cheery flavors displayed on the big screen. I ordered MANGO MILK from their Slush Series. It came out creamy with chunks of visible mango pieces throughout the drink. The flavor was acceptable, but I thought the price was pretty steep at nearly $8. Total time spent browsing through the kiosk: 5 minutes. Waiting period: less than 2 minutes.

Very small boba shop near the AMC theatre and it's decorated so cute! Not only do they have a variety of drinks and seasonal drinks but they also sell blind boxes and keychains! The barista was kind and it seems like a one-man-show behind the counter. No real seating area with tables - it's more of a to-go stop

I've only tried a couple drinks from here, but my go to is the Strawberry Lychee Lemonade (which comes with lychee jelly but you can sub for boba or remove if you don't like). It's pretty sweet and refreshing, and one of the only boba spots that has any lemonade options so I give them an extra star for that. I will say, most times I've gone here, the service has been between kinda and really slow and delayed. I'm not sure if it's the size of the menu making it difficult to get out in a timely manner, the staff specifically, or something else but the speed of taking orders and making drinks is a little slower than I'd like as a customer. Last time in there were 2 workers and about 10 people behind on making drinks by the time my order was taken. Meaning it took about 15 minutes to get my drink. I'll try and order online next time and see if that may be faster

Parking is plentiful, although the lot can fill up during peak hours since it is shared with several nearby retailers and restaurants. Everything appeared clean and organized, including the small dining area where customers can sit and enjoy their food or drinks. Service was quick, efficient, and straightforward. The staff seemed pleasant, though my visit was brief, so I didn't have enough interaction to fully evaluate the level of customer service. I ordered the chai milk tea, which I enjoyed. However, from what I remember, they're particularly known for their mango green tea, which is refreshing and worth trying if it's still on the menu. This place sits right next to the bowling alley and there is actually No big sign for it.
