She also let us know that you can bring the boba into the movie theater next store which is super nice. I got the Thai milk tea boba with almond milk and it was delicious. My mom and I visited this location and enjoyed our drinks. I got the Pearl Milk Tea and she got the Mango Green Tea. However, her drink was a little too sweet despite getting 30% sweetness. It's 5 miles from where I live, but it's worth it. I prefer going cha over other boba places. It's usually not busy. read more

The cashier is a sweetheart (8/29/24)! Super helpful and patient-wish this entire location with same workers were closer to me, though. I ordered the strawberry earl grey milk tea with white pearls at 70% sweetness and it was absolutely perfect. The recommended sweetness level for all drinks appears to be 50%, though. My friend got the creme brulee milk tea and he liked his a lot too. Also, if you get 2 large drinks then you can spin the wheel for cute charms and baubles (do eeet!). read more

There's only one small table and a bench inside though so not exactly the ideal place to work or study, even though they do have free WiFi. We had a disappointing experience at this Gong Cha yesterday, which was our first visit to this location. We arrived when it opened and when we ordered we were told by the manager a new employee was making the boba and it would be 10 more minutes, which is fine. Finally, 16 minutes later our drinks were ready and we left. When we tried the drink with the boba a few minutes later the boba was very hard, rubbery and unpleasant. Obviously, the manager didn't even check the new employee's product. This was a big disappointment and a waste of $8. read more

If you love a classic milk tea, this is a great spot. Ordering is quick through their kiosk system, and they have a few seats in their small entrance to wait for your drink. Though there are a few seats inside to sit at, it is definitely more of a pickup and go kind of boba cafe. I ordered their Jasmine milk tea with 30% sugar and it was nice and satisfying. Kiosk machines are not user friendly. Won't let you customize the drinks. Only the sweetness level, ice amount and size. Then they were out of lychee tea. Service was slow. Response to owner - Have you tried using the kiosk? I suggest you try a pretty common drink of matcha with strawberry and add the basil seeds, was not an option for you to be able to do this. And yes, I waited to talk to staff to place the order which I shouldn't have to do when you have the kiosk available. Update your menu if items are no longer available. read more

I recently reconnected with my cousin after many years, and this has become his go-to boba spot whenever we're in the mood for a cold drink. The staff warmly greeted me each time I visited and offered assistance with my order. They provide two convenient ways to order: use the self-checkout tablets or place your order at the cashier. I prefer the self-checkout because it allows me to browse the drink options at my own pace. Located in the Marina Pacific plaza next to Barnes & Noble, this spot is hard to miss and has plenty of parking. The drinks are delicious, and I've never encountered one I didn't enjoy, especially as a foodie. I'm thrilled they opened a boba place right by the 2nd Street area in Long Beach. My bf and I came to eat Buffalo Wild Wings, instantly saw Gong Cha, asked him if we can stop by afterwards. He first thought it was a furniture store lol but you know, as a tea person I had a feeling it was a tea spot As we walked in, we had the warmest greetings from the ladies who served us. I overheard them speak my language which is a Cambodian language called Khmer-- automatically I connected with them! I felt so proud to see them make a living here and thriving They offered us many great options! My favorite was getting to choose which milk options (because I'm lactose lol) so I went with Drink: Winter melon Milk: almond Milk Sweetness: Medium/Fixed Sweetness Toppings: Star Jelly (peach) Basil Seed They can make any of their drinks HOT (mine were) SO YUMMY Not to mention she gave me a 15% disc and upped my size to a large instead! Hands down the best boba place around! I always get the jasmine green milk tea and it's so freaking good every time. I've forgotten to add boba before one time and the lady helping me was so sweet enough to add some without charging me extra. Service is always great and like I said, it's the best boba around Long Beach tbh. The ambience is relaxing and nice too. Really welcoming. So if I had to rate the drinks themselves, I'd say middle of the road. Not bad and not great just ok. We used the self ordering system which at the end does require you to sign up for the rewards program with no visible option to skip or ignore. Then after the receipt printed we noticed a "convenience" charge. It was a whooping .26 cents, however if there was a posting somewhere that we would be charged to put in our order to allow, who looked like the only employee there, a bit of breather to work, would have been nice. Lastly, we did grab the seasonal cups and the labels that are used for the drinks must be using superglue as adhesive because it was soaking in hot water for a while, used vinegar and rubbing alcohol and still sticky. Don't know if I would return as I have had better teas and I didn't have to pay to cosplay as a worker for gongcha to place my order. read more

I'm so glad someone finally opened a boba shop near Seal Beach! This is my go-to place on my way back to my house after work, and I love that the hours are late! I wish they had strawberry milk as an order without having to request it as a special way. As a milk tea lover I am so disappointed!:( I got the brown sugar milk tea and it was so watered down I just threw it away and it was FULL! The sweetness was 100% as well! But tasted 25% and there was a little bit of brown sugar sauce in it, wasn't full like I've seen in pictures. It was super busy today! So I didn't want to go back in.
