Roasting waters, wow! I have not been here in 6 years. I happened to be in the area and I was like "roasting waters?!" I had to swing by to grab something. I arrived in the morning around 11:30ish and it was not busy at all. I asked the cashier for recommendations since I haven't been in such a long time. The service wasn't anything crazy. He answered my questions but was not overly enthusiastic or friendly. I ended up ordering the pineapple crush with jasmine tea as the base. I really enjoyed it-- I wanted something refreshing for the warm morning & that sure did it. I loved eating the pineapple chunks with the boba I added. The plastic cup they provide is the cutest thing ever and can def be reused. We love a recycling queen. The top even has a removable lid where the mouth spout is. I was amazed. I'm use to the lids you have to flip and stick inside the cup, so go figure something different and I was like WoOoOoOow! Overall the prices are within the market for drinks, and I like the fact I get a reusable cup with it. Inside they have some cute merch! Other characters and such. I used to be obsessed with this place but haven't been in awhile, and never to this location. First off, as soon as you walk in, you are transported to a cute teahouse with cute cups on display that I always wish you could buy. So many Hello Kitty ones that are super cute. There is some wall art throughout the tea house, too. Def worth a photo. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was empty so we got my order quick. I ordered the Strawberry Kiss. I got green tea as my base and the drink comes with strawberry bits. My mistake in not adding boba and the girl at register didn't ask either. The tea was a bit bitter but may be because of the green tea. It was okay and not my favorite. To top it off, this location does not give away the collector cups. I just got my drink in a regular cup. That was the fun part about coming here and collecting the cups. Overall, not much of a fan for their teas and this is probably my last time here. read more

I came all the way out here for one of those cool looking reusable cups with the design on them and the twist looking lid. I've been seeing a lot with the cute astronaut on the cups, sailor moon and other collections with different shows When I walked in I saw all the glass shelves with all the cool different cups. So I got really excited. (The place actually had a bunch of cute stuff everywhere). I was greeted by really friendly staff. I asked her how it works? Like, how much do I have to spend in order to get these cool cups? Is it just certain drinks it comes in? And then that's when she told me that I have to check their Instagram to see when they are giving those out. (I even offered to pay for them, but unfortunately she said they weren't for sale) and just kept telling me to check their Instagram account for when they are having the cups available for that. This was really disappointing, but I did still stay and get a drink. Which, it actually was extremely delicious. I went with one of the- Chill me, drinks. I went with the pink frost. The chill me drinks say- they are made with non dairy base, blended ice, real fruit, 100 percent juice and no artificial syrups or powders used The pink frost had pomegranate and coconut. And again this was absolutely delicious. So I would come back and hope that it's on the days where they have the cute cups. I just wish that since they had the cups on display that I could of bought one of them Other than that, the staff was friendly and the drink was really good. Roasting Water is a nice spot for smoothies and fruit teas. I wouldn't recommend milk teas or coffees as they're fairly basic. It's the fruit teas and smoothies that are most refreshing here. If I get something fruity, I really like the bits of fresh fruit and basil seeds that you can add to your drink. The best thing about roasting water is that they serve their drinks in reusable containers that you can repurpose. They'll often have cute designs, sometimes with recognizable characters. Family visiting my area almost always likes to go to roasting water because of their cute drink bottles. The reason I don't come here more often is that prices are on the higher side because of said containers and lines can be quite long for your made to order fruit drinks. If I want milk tea or coffee, then I'd go elsewhere. If I want a fruity smoothie or tea, then I'd come here if it's in the evening (and other juice/smoothie bars are closed). read more

Long Beach is one of their newer locations (I'm not sure if they've opened more, but it's one of my favorite locations to go to aside from Westminster. I always get good service here at this location and it's a must go to before heading home to San Jose. The people I've encountered at this location have always been very nice and sweet despite me ordering 10 drinks at a time. This interior of this location is super cute and clean. If you need to use the bathroom, they're located outside across from the store. Pro tip: this coffee freezes really well! Hence me buying 10 at a time. Also, my very picky Vietnamese mother loves their coffee too and that's saying A LOT. read more

The girl with the pimple face (cashier) seemed to not want to be there as her answers to my questions were undetailed one word answers. Been coming here for years every once in a while and I really enjoy the drinks that I get! I've also been getting super cute bottles every time! It was empty when we went on a Saturday evening so drinks came out quick! Friendly service. They have lots of cute stuff to buy ranging from various animes to Studio Ghibli merch. Nice mango flavor and creaminess (I feel like there's yogurt in this one? It didn't say.) and wasn't too sweet. I didn't taste the strawberry much but I enjoyed it! 4/5 -Green Milk Tea with boba: My brother got this and really enjoyed this! Something I noticed: Their bottles have definitely changed through the years. I believe that they used to be glass and have an actual cork lid! This was what lured all of us to this place back in the day. Then they transitioned to plastic bottles with metal screw on lids that had a small handle which was very handy! Now, they are plastic with a wider mouth and a larger screw on cap without a handle. I'm guessing that these newer cups are more affordable and durable than the OG ones which is totally understandable. Props to them for being able to consistently offer cute/cool designs on their bottles that customers can reuse and staying relevant through all these years because a lot of businesses have closed down in the plaza that this shop is located in and not much new businesses have opened up since. I would definitely say that parking/getting to this location is a bit chaotic. This Roasting water is located in LB towne center and it is right by the freeway, so there is a lot of traffic in and out. Maybe I just go during the busiest time, but it is always a bit of a struggle for me. The shop is quite small so it is very easy to miss if you aren't too familiar with the location. I typically get the fruit teas/tea. I've had most of the drinks and my usual go-to is lots of lychee and the white peach tea. Honorable mention to Attraction (from the chill me section) as that is a personal favorite during the summer heat. Personally, I'm not a fan of the chocolate drinks, so I would say those are a pass. With the tea drinks, you are able to choose from 3 different tea types - green, jasmine, and herbal. If you don't want the caffeine, then definitely go with the herbal. With the drinks, you are able to ask for less ice and less sweetness! Overall I would say the drinks aren't overwhelmingly sweet. One thing I do really like about Roasting Water is that the drinks are served in reusable bottles! I do, however, miss the glass bottles they used to have, but these plastic ones are a lot more convenient. read more

However, I came in today on 10/20 at 2pm and the girl with the short hair taking orders at the register was being very rude to her coworker who was making drinks. This is why they lost stars. That staff member (although clearly experienced in her position as she knew everything there was to know about the drinks) needs training on lateral violence in the workplace. It was unacceptable. Considering at Starbucks you can easily pay anywhere from $5-$7 for a beverage, it's nice that at Roasting Water, you actually get something out of it when you finish your drink! Whether you prefer tea or coffee, they offer a variety of hot and cold drinks along with fresh fruit smoothies...something for everyone! This place is situated in a mall with plenty of parking. There was a bit of a line to order but we perused the store while waited as there was so much cute kawaii merchandise. Make sure you plan ahead if you are on a time crunch as there was only one gal working the counter when we arrived...it does take a bit of time before you get your order. My besties all ended up ordering the Avocuddle Buddy which was a simple blend of avocado and sweet condensed milk. I went a different route and got the Oolong Fresh Cream which I absolutely loved! I wasn't sure how great it was going to taste but it was nothing like I expected...slightly sweet with floral notes and a touch of nuttiness. My new favorite drink! I believe the bottles used to be glass but are now made of plastic...no big deal and still incredible adorable designs on each of them. My friends like to collect them and I can see why. This is one of Long Beach's hidden gems. A friend has been telling me about this place for weeks and raving about how good their coffee is. The location is really hard to find if you don't know where to look for it in the Long Beach Town Center. It is located near the fountain in front of the movie theatre. I suggest parking in one of the 20 minute spots in front of Roadhouse Grill. When you walk in, displayed merchandise includes, Beauty organizers tumbler, cups, stuffed animals etc. Their menus includes a large assortment of coffee, tea, smoothies and boba. I ordered a hot Carmel macchiato. My friend was right. This is ABSOLUTELY the best cup of coffee I have had in a long time, at a reasonable price. It wasn't overly sweet, it was non dairy and the coffee had amazing flavor. The owner was really sweet and shared with me a little about the history of her store. They have been there for 5 years. They opened right before the pandemic and witnessed neighboring businesses close. They have been the only small business to remain open. WARNING Do not come if you don't want spoiled and rotten drinks! I've been to RW in the Westminister and Garden Grove locations and the drinks were always decent. I came here half an hour before closing with a few others and was so shock at the customer service. When we entered, there were customers leaving that had accidentally left the door opened. The gentleman working that night started shouting for someone to close the door. My sister, who was kind enough, closed the door. No "Thank You" was said. While waiting in line, time has passed. It was 20 minutes before closing when we notice the two workers who were working closing shift were already starting to close out. The cashier has the coin counter out in the open handing customers change. When customers were walking in (15 minutes before closing now), the gentlemen started shouting to the customers that they aren't taking anymore orders. One customer actually spoke back and said it's not even closing hour yet and why can't they order.... Taken aback, the gentleman started arguing with the customer! It was so shocking! I understand if they need to clock out in time but this can all be avoided by NOTIFYING customers nicely that last calls are at 8:30PM... don't think there was a need for the yelling.... When we placed our order, the gentleman and the lady started badmouthing about the customers... When our drinks were ready, we just grabbed it and left home. When we got home, we opened the drinks and it smelled SO AWFUL. Our drinks were made with SPOILED MILK. When I went on Yelp to read the prior reviews, many also wrote about spoiled drinks.... I first visited a Roasting Water last year in Long Beach. I did not know there were different locations of this juice bar until today! I immediately headed to the juice bar after a long flight. I picked up 4 frozen drinks in the cute bottles and two cute bags. I really enjoyed all of the drinks but my favorites were the lemonades with the chia seeds and fresh fruits. I got one of their Chill Me drinks called a Frozen Sunrise ($6.95) which is a blended mango and coconut topped with mango and strawberry bits. Do not follow the Yelp address! Search for the Edward's cinema and it is right next to it at the mall. It is a small shop with no indoor seating but there are places outside to sit and enjoy your drink or go check out the mall. They always give their drinks in reusable bottles (sometimes plastic and sometimes glass). But the price of the drinks are not expensive and cheaper than some other boba shops. The quality of the bottles is great. I still use the ones I got 5+ years ago. I got their straight Cafe Sua Da, which is the Vietnamese coffee. The Cafe Sua Da is Vietnamese coffee plus milk. They both come with sea salt foam but you can ask without. I also ordered two without ice because I was taking it home to family members and the staff was kind enough to do it without ice and explained to me that it will not be filled to the top since it didn't have ice (which was of course fine). It was one staff member working the whole shop of taking order and making them but she was quick on her feet and the drinks were great. Strong and sweet. Their teas are normally too sweet and not enough tea flavor so I usually get their ice coffees. I went this past weekend the cost of drinks has significantly gone up. Also when I ordered a Thai Tea Smoothie with Soy Milk and Boba when the order was ready it was made without Boba. When I initially ordered I made sure to ask for boba, when I asked about it after the order was made, she replied, " oh I didn't charge you for it but I can charge you now." I thought that was rude since both my boyfriend and I heard her repeat the order back to us. I replied, it's okay! I have to go. I felt that it should've been on the house since it was her mistake, but rather it came off as if I made the mistake Prices: The price for a smoothie without boba or topping is $8.00. I wouldn't mind paying if it was worth it. They didn't even make new menus but instead they used masking tape to increase the prices. Also the prices are not update on their website. While I enjoyed the coffee I got from Roasting Water, I don't see myself making a return visit here. Ever have one of those times when you're waiting for your order, and then suddenly, something causes you to want to get out ASAP after getting your order? I arrived at Long Beach Towne Center just past lunchtime on a Saturday. I needed a pick-me-up before volunteering somewhere else. Driving around and parking at the shopping center by the 605 freeway can be quite a hassle. Luckily, I found a spot close to the Promenade and wanted to do a little exploring on my own. At first, the line for Roasting Water was kind of lengthy, so I decided to enjoy the scenery at the Promenade and the surrounding area before entering the shop. There was a group of three girls in front of me. Two of them had already ordered, and one hadn't yet. However, it took a while for the female cashier to ring up the last girl; I guess the cashier was helping to prepare the drinks for the other two girls. While we were waiting, I had to stand kind of close to the register so I could see the menu. I didn't see the menu posted anywhere else, and the menu at the order counter was kind of hard to read from a distance. I knew I wanted a coffee, and they only had about six choices of coffee. All the coffees are the same price. After reading the descriptions for all six, I chose the Café Sua Da, which is supposed to be rich in flavor. It definitely sounded like something that would help me get through a busy afternoon, and so that's what I went for. I asked the cashier if I could have it hot, and she answered affirmatively. In fact, there was a note underneath the menu that said to let the cashier know in advance if I wanted my coffee hot. I suppose by default, the coffees come iced if you don't say anything, so I'm definitely glad I mentioned hot. After paying for my order, the cashier gave me a sticker. "Oh what's this?" I asked, but she never actually responded. While I was waiting for my coffee, I was taking in the scenery inside. I can't really describe the inside because it seemed to be a theme that I was not familiar with, but I can say that there was a bed of some sort at the near corner of Roasting Water. However, it was during the wait that I told myself I wouldn't make a return visit even if the coffee tasted great. During my wait, which lasted about 5 minutes, I heard a male staff member throw an F-bomb 5 times! He wasn't exactly rude, but his choice of words was incredibly poor for working in an environment that directly serves the customers. I wanted a family-friendly atmosphere that would treat me like family, but that one staff member alone made me want to get out of there ASAP with my coffee and never come back. At least the cashier seemed to appreciate my business when she handed me my coffee. How did that coffee taste? It was pretty good I have to say! Rich in flavor and bold in taste. This was one of the best tasting coffees I've had. However, it wasn't as hot as I expected. Either that or it cooled down so quickly that by the time I returned to my car, I was almost done with the coffee. I got through the afternoon easily with that coffee, but after hearing such foul language on my first visit, I don't think I will want to step foot inside that shop again. What if there were kids inside the shop that heard all that??? I know we're still going through these tough times, but we need to show that we care about one another to help us get through these tough times. Even if the profanity wasn't meant to be harmful, it still made me feel unwelcome as a first-time customer. As a result, I tore up the sticker and tossed it in the trash without even taking a photo of it. Sorry Roasting Water, but I'd rather take my business elsewhere. Wow you lost my loyalty. Came here with a friend all the way from Long Beach and made it in time! They wouldn't serve us. Said closed at 8 so I came. Sign said open so went in and got refused. I drove 30 minutes to be told the people walking out as we went in were the last guests and we couldn't be helped. Guess we won't have roasting water.... This occurred 8-2-2021 I've been here a few times always coming out of my way, I get it y'all wanna go home but don't turn away PAYING CUSTOMERS... Guess I'll spend my money elsewhere in this plaza in the future when close by. Kinda sad that customer service equates to whether or not an employee wishes to go home sooner. read more
