Clean lil place, parking out front. Staff was friendly. You can order drinks with 50% sugar or less or more, ice is also ordered at a percentage. I ordered a peach green tea with 50% sugar, and light ice with mango popping pearls. My niece ordered wintermelon milk foam tea. Both made a expected. If you're looking for a refreshing drink I definitely recommend this place. No public restroom unless you're a customer.

The drinks were great and everyone was super friendly. We did get 70% sugar on the drinks but the crème brûlée brown sugar milk tea was way sweeter. I would recommend both drinks :) The shop was a little smaller and space was limited, however, it was clean and well kept. There was parking available

Went to gong cha for their buy one get one from the top 5 deal a couple weeks ago and again for my birthday $5. I got the pearl milk tea and let my friend get the get one offer. I usually don't get boba in my drinks but this one already comes with boba. I really liked the milk tea though. It was pretty strong. I came in again and got the earl grey milk tea with pudding and I really liked that as well

My first time walking into and trying the establishment. I was able to take my time for my first time ordering which was nice. I'm not sure if the guy who took my order was just having a bad day or I just came at the wrong time; but he was just a tad bit rude when answering some of my questions I had. The other guy who made my drink for me was really nice and helpful with my questions though and the tea was pretty good!

I really enjoy Gong Cha drinks and this was my first visit to the midtown location. Today was National Boba Day so they were giving away boba pins & stickers with your purchase which were super cute! My go to drink is the sparkling lychee with star jelly instead of mango jelly. I also got the strawberry milk slush for my daughter & a strawberry matcha latte with boba & sub with almond milk for my bestie. We all loved our drinks! Very refreshing especially with the rising Houston heat. The employee taking my order was nice and patient while I carefully looked over the menu. The sitting area is small but I was still able to find a seat on a weekday around 2:30 pm & plenty of parking spots. This Gong Cha provides quality drinks like other franchises I've visited and a great location for us in the city.

Located in a small shopping plaza next to BWW, Gyu Kaku, and the dim sum spot in Midtown. Parking is available and easy to find. This location's interior is quite small compared to their Heights spot. The drinks were fine; we hung around for a bit after we got our drinks and the staff just went to watch videos on their tablets which was slightly odd. Overall, it's not a bad choice for the area; the only boba spots nearby are Kung Fu and the new Feng Cha within the lower downtown/Midtown area.

Super disappointed coming back. I've been trying to avoid caffeine for personal reasons so coming for my boba fix, I knew there were limited options for me to choose from. At first I wanted to get a slush, but preferred real fruit. Turns out, they don't use real fruit in any of their slushes here. So I moved on to the Crème Brûlée Strawberry Latte. I asked for 25% sugar and they said they can't adjust the sugar levels in this. Okay cool. So I opted for the Lemon Wintermelon Basil Seed drink, 25% sugar. Nope, can't adjust the sugar level for this either. Okay, fine. Passionfruit yogurt drink it is, 25% sugar. Nope, can't adjust? Mango yogurt drink, 25% sugar? Nope. At this point, there's literally one option left for no caffeine - the Lemon Ai-Yu White Pearl. Finally, they let me adjust the sugar on this. I ask for boba with this and they told me the "white Pearls" are boba. Okay cool. Once I get the drink, I took a look at the white pearls and it looks more like jelly than boba. So I ask to purchase a side of boba. The employee insisted that the white Pearl was boba and that I didn't need to get a side of boba. I take their word for it and drive home. That was a big mistake. I should have tried the drink there because the white Pearl is indeed a lot more jelly like, and not boba like at all. It lacks the chewiness of a boba ball. Unfortunately, between the lack of fresh fruit used, the inability to adjust the sugar level on so many drinks and the claim that their white Pearl is boba from the worker there, I definitely won't be coming back to this Gong Cha.

I visited this location when I was waiting for my next Flix bus. This location is a two minute walk from the bus parking lot. The location was extremely clean, and service was top notch. The staff was extremely friendly. I went to the restroom and it was really really clean. I had the strawberry milk slush with pearls and 70% sugar. This was exactly what I needed. And quenched my thirst. The restaurant wasn't busy, even though it was almost 3 PM. There were two other people working on their computers. I'm so glad that I decided to stop in this location.

Extremely rude, hostile, and offensive staff. Ordered an "XL" drink which has an up charge of a dollar. I asked for light ice. When I received the XL drink it was at least half ice if not more. That's about 14 ounces to 16 ounces of ice. I didn't walk even two steps from the counter, I went to the back of the line and waited until it was my turn to talk to them about it. When I told him that I was not happy with that, that they could have the drink back, and that I wanted my money back, they refused and the manager said "I'm not gonna deal with you. I don't have time for you". I said, you can't charge more for a drink that you give less actual liquid in. I just paid over nine dollars for this drink and there's less liquid than a large. I said, You can get a large cup, and see that this is not more liquid, you're just charging extra to give less drink. The manager said "do it yourself, I'm not gonna do it for you" when I took the drink and poured it into the large cup. It was only 3/4 full so basically they're selling a drink that's supposed to be a 32 ounce drink, which one would assume would have at least 25 ounces of beverage in it, for an extra dollar,to give you less beverage. It's really unbelievable to be so blatant about ripping people off, and then be so incredibly rude when somebody calls you on it. Deceptive business practices are not the way to go, and being rude just because someone points out that you're ripping them off is also extremely bad business practice. Refusing to give a refund for a drink that hasn't left the building and that hasn't been taken more than two steps from the counter is pretty outrageous.

The West U area already lacked a proper bubble tea option, making its arrival that much more satisfying. Sadly, during the heat of summer just after their second anniversary, it abruptly closed. While the shop was small, they still had a number of tables for small groups and solo action. Given the tables were completely translucent glass, the plain acoustic tile ceilings with florescent lighting and very standard bathroom sign made the place feel like an office more than a cafe. The bright orange logo side wall was a nice touch, but still presented a contrasting vibe that was hard to shake. The drinks did not fare much better, but were at least consistent. The roasted oolong milk tea and slushes were always the go-to and the swirls and fruit teas were the ones to avoid. The food was a bit all over the place, from "cubie breads" to mochi donuts and fries. They worked as easy snacks on the go, but never overshadowed the drinks. Customer service was always a crapshoot, thus like many bubble tea cafes, the self-ordering kiosk was easy to consider. Prices were semi-reasonable given the neighborhood, which was a semi-win in itself. While I do hope for the best of this location, the one thing that still presents a challenge is the limited parking. Since it's a shared strip of only a couple of spots for each business, there is little street parking to compensate for the limited front side parking. For fans of the TSAOCAA brand and looking for a fix, the Katy store is the only remaining Houston-area location.

I've ordered from here multiple times for delivery to the Medical Center, and the drinks always arrive fresh, cold, and never watered down. I've even ordered from Too Good to Go for their grab bag, and received a variety of "surprise drinks." I appreciate that you can adjust the sugar and ice levels, and the drinks are consistently not overly sweet. There's not a ton of boba competition in the West U area, but this spot is definitely top tier. Bonus: they offer rose tea, which is surprisingly hard to find outside of Chinatown. Definitely a go-to for quality boba!

Made me kinda feel uncomfortable and rushed. There wasn't anyone behind me btw. She was nice though, and made me a peach oolong tea (wasn't on the menu). Unfortunately, it tasted very watered down. I got it 100% sweet and it wasn't very sweet. It tasted good, just very watered down so it barely had much flavor. I also got their brown sugar milk tea with 75% sugar and light boba. It's a must every time I try a new boba spot. The presentation was nice but again, I was disappointed in the drink. The boba was chewy but not in a super soft chewy way. The drink's sweetness was good, I could've gotten 50% to be honest. The tea flavor just wasn't hitting. It also tasted a bit watered down.
