We finally decided to try R&B Tea since it is closer to our apartment. The vibe from the staff was very off putting and when we asked questions because it was our first time it felt like we were bothering them. There was a total of 8 customers 4 of which was my family and the drinks took forever to be served. My drink did not taste good and I ended up throwing it away.

It's good! Same quality as other locations. The employee was very nice. Greeted me when I entered. The inside is very clean and modern. Great place to meet up with people. My drink was great. No complaints.

Solid newer boba spot in the area. Super clean interior and it was a one woman job as far as staffing goes. Their menu is a bit large and is reminiscent of Feng Cha. I got their taro storm drink with no sugar and it was still a bit too sweet with the toppings. Overall flavor was good and it'll be interesting to try out their more traditional drinks, but seems like you will need to dial down the sweetness and ice for maximum effect.

Tried the avocado smoothie at R&B Tea House Midtown - super creamy, smooth, and not too sweet. Will definitely order again!

Between the group we ordered two HOT Chicken Thunder Fries, the HOT MESS fries, three orders of the jumbo chicken tenders and waffles (two hot honey, one plain), a full order of mac and cheese, and the Cheeseburger Fryders. It was a lot of food and somehow it was all hot, fresh, and honestly really good. I love a sweet and savory combo when I'm expecting it, and this place definitely delivers. The waffles reminded me a lot of classic Waffle House waffles and the tenders were huge and actually seasoned well. The loaded fries were seriously loaded too. Lots of sauce, lots of meat, and we definitely didn't feel cheated. We were stuffed and still had leftovers. The only thing I personally wasn't crazy about were the Fryders. I think mini waffles as buns would've been better, but they weren't bad and my friend scarfed them down. Service was quick once we ordered and the staff was super chill. They let us sit there gossiping and picking at food for almost three hours without making us feel rushed, which I really appreciated. A couple small complaints though. Ordering is only through the iPads so you don't really get to ask questions, and the tables could definitely be wiped down a bit more often. Also the AC could be turned down a little... it was pretty cold in there. That said, the prices are actually pretty reasonable for The Heights. I spent a little over $50 myself and didn't feel scammed one bit considering how much food we ordered. Funny enough we originally tried to go to their Alabama location on Sunday but the line was out the door and parking was a nightmare. My friend literally drove off and told us to cancel. We ended up driving about 26 minutes to this location instead and honestly I'm glad we did. Great food, quick turnaround, and a fun spot to hang out for a while. We'll definitely be back.

Whats even more insane is that the ipad asks you for a TIP. like who are you tipping? the unhelpful kitchen staff?? chicken always seems like warm or cold and the breading is ALWAYS soggy. their prices are so outrageous that they now offer a "lunch special". i've never seen a fast casual restaurant offer a lunch special. those should just be regular prices.

There is a matcha restaurant right next door (called "Isa"), make sure you aren't standing in line for that one, make sure you go inside the actual restaurant (unlike us). They have a kiosk that you can order from and have a pretty extensive menu, so many flavors, sauces, and customization add-ons. I went with the classic Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich Deluxe (add-on) + HOT Honey substitution (add-on), side of regular fries, side of White Cheddar Mac & Cheese. We didn't go during a busy moment so it took only about 10 minutes for them to make our order. Their sandwiches are to DIE for, I would recommend you ask for your sandwich to be cut in half. The chicken was fresh, sauce was sweet and flavorful, they put the right amount of sauce along with tomatoes, lettuce and other add-ons. My rating of the sandwich is 9.4/10, it is literally the perfect sandwich if the sandwich wasn't disintegrating on me, but I think that is a good thing, wouldn't want a crunchy waffle sandwich. The mac & cheese was also very good, would give a 8.1/10, if they crusted their mac & cheese, it would be 10 times better. Would also recommend a bit of a kick, but it complemented the meal pretty well. All in all, this was a great place to stop by for lunch, they had a patio that we sat outside and ate at on a beautiful day. The front cashier was very helpful, walking us through the entire menu and giving us his best recommendations, definitely bettered our experience. For the quality of the meal, the pricing is also very reasonable as well. I would recommend if you are around the area, to stop by and enjoy a meal at this establishment. They have another location as well, which I didn't know (hopefully quality is consistent across the board because quality was great during this visit.

Despite its location, it's surprisingly a quiet place - just some pretty light foot traffic in the morning I came. The waffle dish of choice today was "The Rancher" - a play on Chicken and Waffles as a sandwich, featuring syrup, powdered sugar, and ranch on the side. It was a truly creative choice, and it had many highs to it. The chicken was fried well, and the waffles were quite fluffy. However, I wasn't the biggest fan of the ranch and syrup together - maybe it's just personal taste though. The sandwich was also a bit small for the $14 price point - I left definitely wanting some more food in the belly. Overall, not a bad place. The food quality is there - it just may be a bit small portion size.

I loved how decadent the waffle was and it was completed nicely with whipped cream, strawberries, cookie butter and chocolate. All the flavors blended seamlessly. Service was friendly and fast! Lots of really unique art and designs. I came at 10:30pm when they close at 11. I got their signature Dolly Llama blue cookie shake. There was one couple ahead of me. I'm not sure what their staff of 2 (who was nice) was doing back there but 20 minutes to get my order seemed a bit long. I wasn't in a rush but it just felt way longer than you should have wait for something like this. I enjoyed it just fine...but for the time it took, it didn't come off as anything special. It was pretty runny rather than a thicker milkshake that I was expecting. Maybe that is their style but you could get a more traditional McFlurry at McDonald's that tastes better in about 3-4 minutes for a fraction of the price.

For happy hour, we ordered the wings, a lemon drop, and the cheeseburger sliders. First thing to note: they don't let you bring your water bottle to your table, so they held my Owala behind the host stand for me. Not a huge deal, just something to know before you go. The service was good, but the food does have a bit of a wait. Even though it wasn't busy when we got there, it still took a little minute for the food to come out, so I'd expect it to take longer during busier times. That said, everything came out hot and fresh, and the lemon drop was really good. The only issue was that my first batch of wings had a hair in them. I let the waitress know, and she took them back right away. The replacement wings didn't come out immediately either--it was another little wait--but the new batch came out fresh and hot with no issues. I did really like the happy hour deals. The wings, lemon drop, and cheeseburger sliders came out to $25.99, which felt like a really good value because I was full and still had leftovers. Overall, it was a good experience and I would return. Finding hair in my food was definitely a turnoff, especially on a first visit, but the food, drinks, pricing, and the way the staff handled it still left me with a positive impression.
