What makes this location special is that if you spend $100 at HMart (the one in this specific shopping complex) in one visit on one receipt, Gong Cha will reward you with a free bubble tea. BOGO. It's limited to 2 specific kinds (medium size). There is a lot of large signage detailing what is available for this deal. If you're not sure, just ask the barista. What a nice treat! I'm so excited this location is so close to my workplace. I ordered strawberry matcha less sugar no ice with pudding. I expected the aesthetic red and green but my drink was shaken for me... Still, the taste was on point. I went to this location around lunch time on a Wednesday- there was no wait. I remember the first time I had Gong Cha in Flushing NY and I thought bubble tea can't really get much better. Then more Gong Cha opened up but I have not had one that's nearly as good and most of them are average. Went to H-Mart to shop and decided to give it one more go and this one was good. I was just at the location and witnessed a male "Karen" blowing up the entire time he was there. He was unnecessarily rude from the get-go and my 5 stars is primarily for the sole employee who had to be on the receiving end of his nastiness. He was yelling and rude and berating the innocent employee from when he initially ordered to when he got his drinks. The rest of the store ended up yelling at him too and he claimed he had COVID and was basically threatening the other customers. If you have COVID, why the hell are you physically standing in a boba store putting others at risk. Selfish, rude, belligerent. I hope the employee wasn't shaken up by this horrible customer. If he ever reads this - it's JUST BOBA. Don't order here if you don't like the service. Go elsewhere or just get a life, you pathetic loser. They are pretty quick to take the order but a bit slow to make it even though there was only a couple ahead of me and my order came out before theirs. The bubble tea overall was really good. I went towards the end of the day, 15 mins before closing today. Worker that was counting tip at the end of the day was sitting cross legged on the counter with her sneakers on the counter. Highly unsanitary for a place that serves food. Please make sure to train your employees properly... it doesn't matter if you get drinks right and they taste fine.
