I love the shop it is such a peaceful vibe. One of my favorite tea places in the whole city!!! 10/10 highly recommend.

We came on a Saturday afternoon, and it was fairly empty. You order directly at the kiosk, and the staff was there to clarify any questions. There was only one person working there, so even with our party of two, it took about 10 min to get our two drinks and waffle. My Earl Grey milk tea with 30% sweetness was great. The tea flavor was pretty strong. I wouldn't recommend their waffles though. It's not the traditional egg waffles, but tasted more like a pancake mix. It's less spongy. They didn't have any background music, so at first it was a little awkward conversing when we were the only ones there. Overall, we had a great experience and would try other drinks next time.

A pretty good international boba brand that recently opened up a spot in the South Side. I was quite excited to try this spot out, as I've heard lots about it. I know it is one of the biggest boba brands globally. I decided to try out their strawberry milk tea and chocolate chunk cookie. The milk tea was actually quite good. They had real, small pieces of strawberry mixed in at the bottom. The drink itself was smooth and sweet. 100% sweetness was probably too sweet for me. Good portion size, although a little expensive, but still not bad. I'd definitely get more tea from them. The chocolate chip cookie was, however, very disappointing. Not much chocolate at all, and it was very dry. Don't recommend. All in all, a solid boba store. I liked the boba itself, but the other items, like the cookies, are probably not the best, from my experience.

the owner was so so sweet, the boba was average but they had these really cute ghost santas for the winter that came with a scarf and a hat.

I decided to get the Antwerp with Nutella ice cream. It was just stellar. The waffles here are not the typical soggy grocery store ones. No, they are made in house and are liege waffles. So, more chewy and sugary with bits of crunch at the edges. The ice cream is also so so good. Super creamy. A pretty nice amount of Nutella flavor (could always be stronger though). Just really good and a really fair portion. When the two are paired together, it's just exquisite.

The menu lists waffles in several flavors: plain Liege; Antwerp with ice cream and chocolate sauce; Bruges with strawberries and whipped cream; Namur with bananas and Nutella; Charleroi with strawberries, bananas, and Nutella; Ghent with bananas and Speculoos cookie butter; and Waffallonia with an unlimited number of custom toppings. Toppings include whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, Nutella, Speculoos, Belgian chocolate, caramel, dark chocolate shell, and the business's small-batch flavors of ice creams. During my recent visit, an employee promptly and politely served me. I ordered one Ghent waffle for $6.31 plus tax and tip. The employee made the waffle fresh in a reasonable time. Some indoor tables and chairs were available, so I sat down to eat. My Ghent waffle was nicely chewy and was topped with delicious Speculoos/Biscoff shortbread spread and slices of bananas. I rate it as 5 stars. Waffallonia's website says that 100% of their electricity is supplied from renewable sources and that they use compostable plates and recycled materials--other reasons to like them!

General Manager Sharon and Assistant Manager Kelsey were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed excited to help. The owner Len was EXTREMELY responsive to my email & text inquiries (which honestly is rare these days.) As a small business owner myself, I notice and appreciate that kind of effort immediately!! This place is absolutely underrated. Between the amazing staff, the aesthetic Instagram/TikTok worthy storefront, and food & drinks that are ACTUALLY delicious (because sometimes places only nail one or the other ), they've got the full package! Plenty of seating inside & out. clean bathrooms, self-service kiosks but they also have a register if you are lazy like me. Parking can be a little challenging, but there are several nearby garages that make it manageable. 10/10 experience. So grateful we got the chance to try smashed waffles. The cinnamon roll coffee I ordered was also fantastic and a very smooth and sweet drink. Everything was fantastic, and the owner was extremely kind and welcoming. I will definitely be back!

I went into the shop with my wife and mother-in-law, who'd been speaking their first language. My wife then asked in perfect English if the scoops were big so she could decide how many to order, but the corpulent, pathetic old slug of a "man" said "This is America", and refused to serve them. His accent was heavier and harder to understand than my wife's. I'm Caucasian and was born in the US. I enjoy meeting and befriending people from around the world. However, when an immigrant such as this jerk treats my immigrant wife as somehow lower, yeah, he's going to hear it from me. The coward hid in the back but I yelled loudly that I'm a native-born American and that he has no more right to be in this country than anyone else. I tried a sample of the ice cream before his bigoted hissy fit and it wasn't bad but there's MUCH better ice cream in Pittsburgh. They have a limited selection, too. Take your money elsewhere, this guy is trash.
