I needed to extend my keystone block wall because I had cut down some shrubs next to it and there would have been an erosion problem. I wanted Jose to do the work because of the great job he did for me previously. He had it done in two days. The work was done with a high degree of quality and care--on time and on budget. Jose and his crew kept everything clean and tidy along the way, staging everything neatly at the beginning and end of each day. Other noteworthy points: 1) The overall attention to detail and Jose's attentiveness was impeccable 2) Jose was proactive with a few repair items that were needed along the way 3) Jose and his crew were extremely polite and respectful of our property 4) Jose communicated well along the way, making sure everything was as desired--and it was! 5) Jose invested his own time in coming out to the house a few times before being awarded the work to go over my questions, changes. He did this willingly and I appreciated it so much 5) The quote and payment terms were fair and competitive If I had to cite one minor constructive criticism, it's that the invoicing and payment process is a little tricky, and could be somewhat burdensome for larger jobs. If you want to pay electronically, the only options are money transfer services (e.g. Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, etc.). Because these services impose transaction limits, it adds some nuance to the payment process. For me, it required either breaking my payment across two services or paying with an old school paper check. I wish credit card payments were accepted. But, not a big deal--I overcame this by simply splitting my payment between two payment services. The work itself was stellar and I would wholeheartedly recommend this company and use them in the future. He was thorough about explaining what he would do by coming over twice to go over his quote, and brought samples of gravel for me to look at, so I could decide exactly what I wanted. I was looking for a landscaper to pick up and plant 2 very large fruit trees. I always look to Yelp for referrals, and try to find business with only 5-star reviews since I am a perfectionist and frequently disappointed in the quality of work done by contractors in the San Diego area. Jose came out later the same day to see the place where I wanted the trees planted, suggested putting inexpensive drips for the fruit trees so I do not have to hand water, and quoted me a very reasonable price. Jose showed up on time, early even, after picking up the large trees at a nursery, and he and his crew got to work immediately digging holes in my rock-filled soil almost 5 feet deep.
