They do have polite people and do decent work but I did not have a good experience with their repair business. An annual inspection turned up a couple of small problems - low refrigerant in a system and a nearly failed condenser fan in another. No argument with that conclusion so I said go ahead with fixes. Got the invoice and should have paid more attention - a price gouge of epic proportions. Here's what I sent them that got rejected by their system: PS - registered professional engineer who should have paid more attention. 'I was not here when this work was finished, and I have no issue at all with the technician and work performed. He was professional. I agreed to all of the work. But I regret now not doing additional homework on the cost. A one pound 410a add should cost more like $100 at the high end all in. Easy to find on google or Yelp), given you can get a 25 lb Jug in the range of $250. And yes, there is labor and overhead in that , but for for a 30 minute job $325 seems excessive. I also was able to source the replacement fan motor with an identical Lennox model# from a number of sources- from around $200. Again, that doesn't include labor. So if I'm generous, you got $300 in parts, add 20% for miscellaneous. And yes, I get that there is 'Bob's guarantee' and you have overhead, but an 1800+ bill for less than two labor hours of work, make it 3 with travel time and even at 150 per hour - and maybe 450 in parts and material -the total markup at 2x is to me excessive. Plus your billing is deficient in the level of detail so it's even hard to understand how you could add it up to that much. My wife paid the bill of course, but with these prices even though the service is good I won't be using or recommending Bobs for repairs in the future. I'll do my homework.' PS - last postscript. You may have noticed Bob's no longer responds to Yelp reviews. Must be too busy. Or they don't care. Neither one is a good sign.

They were able to send Travis, a journeyman plumber, out the same day. From the start, I was impressed by his attention to detail and ability to quickly assess the situation. I hired Pure Plumbing on the spot for the emergency repair and the full water-line replacement that I knew would eventually be necessary. Although the company was booked through the following week, Travis made it clear that he would personally start and finish the job immediately if that was what it took. The project came with several unexpected complications, but Travis remained calm and resourceful, brainstorming practical solutions for every issue that arose. After a tremendous amount of digging, much of it done by Travis himself, he successfully replaced the entire water main line from my garage to the street. Travis truly went above and beyond at every stage, from the initial emergency repair through each challenge that followed. Pure Plumbing also kept me well informed throughout the process and was extremely helpful in coordinating with my insurance claim. Because I'm in an Apartment/Condo i need to schedule the water to be turned off. I scheduled it to be off from 9a-3p. Halbert and his helper arrived shortly after 9. It took until 6 pm to finish the job. I understand you need to test the system when done to check for leaks which there were more than one two different times causing me to have to turn the water off three different times. One of my concerns was that both guys left for lunch and supplies when one could have stayed to keep working since i was under a time crunch to get the water back on. I was understanding but not super thrilled. Halbert was good but his helper not so much. He told me he had a license and with a license i expect a certain level of expertise which it didn't seem like he had. 3 1/2 stars. The next day i had to call and book the remainder of the job which was patch a hole you guys made in my laundry room. I didn't think i had to do that, that's why I'm paying you. Robert came on time was quick and efficient to start, got all the measurements, went and cut the drywall, install went smooth. So, this part of this job was great . 5 stars. The add on for my closet to get an access panel took what felt like multiple hours. He did improvise and made it one single door instead of using two separate 12x12's. It definitely looked more professional. A few things missed the mark. I don't want you in my house all day. I do not feel like i can go back to living with you here. You are not my friend you are a person I'm paying to do a job! It seems as though guys don't really care about the customers time. They sent someone out right away and I will leave his name out. He spent about two hours with us. He checked 'everything' upstairs in our attic and downstairs where the air conditioner is outside, and all we were looking for was information about estimates. Let me start by saying that the estimates are exorbitant. They are extremely pricey, and they simply want to replace everything which just adds on more cost. Here are the warning signs of why we did not proceed further, despite very high-pressure sales tactics by the representative that was there last night: 1) it did not feel right. This guy went on and talked about himself half the time. I honestly thought that if he could resemble a snake, he would. There was nothing positive about him, even though he thought a lot about himself. It was both my spouse and myself, and we are both women and he kept saying that because it's just us two women, he is here to help us, like he's gonna save the day because we're two damsels in distress. I found it so offensive and he was such a chauvinist. 2) Still to do with the sales representative, he tried to sell us a membership. We knew nothing about and barely even explained it, but wanted to tag it on right away to the whole estimate. It just felt so wrong. 3) The sales representative wanted to basically replace everything, even though it would cost us an absolute fortune. He had absolutely no regard for price and affordability. 4) At the end, it was my spouse that said that we'd like to stop because he was literally making us sign papers and contracts after getting us approved for a loan of almost $40,000, getting ready to have his basket on the phone to do the call that officially makes everything go... And we just stopped all of that. We said we are not interested in proceeding further and we knew that without that call from his boss, we could not proceed further. He was shameless in trying to get the sale. At the very end, when we said we'd like to think about it and not proceed any further, his comment was "but I've been here for two hours". Are you kidding me? Goettl should really consider better sales individuals. The one that came the evening that we called was just there to make a sale and could not care less about we wanted or needed. Pathetic and I would never recommend this company to anybody based solely on that.
