NOT RECOMMENDED. I set an appointment to have a plumber look at 2 drains that were draining slowly. The company refused to give me an estimated price range to clear a drain in advance of arrival. This was clearly done so I was locked in for the $79 show-up fee for the plumber to look at the drains and tell me within seconds that it was $574. *Update Our water heater tank was replaced with a tankless version. Same day, Hydro Plumbing was able to send Richard to look at the problem right away. He was very kind and didn't pressure me on what to choose soon as he gave me options since our tank was due for replacement after 6 years. After discussing the pros and cons, I didn't hesitate to invest on the tankless option. Though pricey, it was worth it. Later, he was helped by Fernando who also works at Hydro Plumbing. Cool guy and professional as well. Both of them didn't leave the job until it was fully finished which was around 10pm. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Still highly recommend! Problem: toilet would not flush regardless of how much I attempted to plunge it. Solution Experience: I called the business at 11am and received a tech by 12pm. Incredibly quick, easy, and affordable. The tech (Richard) was friendly, helpful, and asked all the right questions for a quick (and obvious) diagnosis. He also helped me out by pointing showing me where the emergency stop valve was in our garage, in case I ever have to shut it off. He also took a peek at our water softener to make sure everything was good. Cost: $79 deposit required for the estimate and booking, which goes towards the repair cost. I spent $160 total. Setup an appt for a shower cartridge change out for my moen shower (glad, I didn't try it by myself, I would have ripped that out of the wall) They swapped that out and got the shower working correctly. That was great, no more slightly hitting the knob 1mm to get the correct water temp. I then had a conversation about my toilets not flushing correctly and constantly slow flow flushing. I also had one toilet that the valve was completely broken (the main part was leaking from the top pretty bad) So, I setup an appt to changeout 2 toilets. They came out swapped them out and now I have duel flush toilets and they look nicer. So, this company is great, price was pretty good(they even take the old toilets and dispose of them for you, which is nice) So, if need anything done, just do yourself a favor and just call them. I did comparison shopping with other plumbing companies. I feel as though Hydro Plumbing is the best all around. There was a couple of hiccups but very minor. One was that my water was shut off and I was unable to take a shower or do anything involving water but as soon as I called they promptly came back and fixed the issue. Another was there was a little bit of a leak due to Not knowing about the drip drain. Fortunately, I went into my laundry room where the plumbing had been done and caught it just in time. Once I reported it, they came back and took care of that as well. So far so good! It's been a couple of months afterwards although my laundry room is still being worked on for other reasons and I haven't been able to use it in its full capacity. I think Hydro Plumbing is a great company with caring employees. I think the price is fair and I do think they will take care of you if anything goes wrong. Hydro plumbing wasted my and their time. When I spoke with their sales rep I explained that I already augured my toilet and the clog was further down the line and would need to be snaked to clear it. I also explained I had multiple quotes between $125 and $150 to snake the line. I explicitly asked them if this was in their ball park for repair because I DID NOT want to waste either of our time. When the repair guy showed up, he was very friendly and professional, however, he quoted me $140 to auger the toilet, which I DID NOT need and $412.20 to snake and clear the line. Technician said he recommended doing both items for $552.20. This price is so far over the market value for this server that it is offensive. So there was a huge water leak in our front yard which is land desert landscaping... So unbeknownst to us it had been leaking for a few weeks, and until we saw the water bill... We had no idea. They charged me $140 just for someone to come out and diagnose the problem. When he showed up, the technician took 20 mins to look up pricing (I'm not kidding) and it was going to cost $250 to remove a toilet plus $365 to put a snake down the drain, cumulative it was going to take him 20 mins of work. If he couldn't find the issue it was going to cost more to send a camera down the drain. You can't make this stuff up. I told the guy to go back where he came from. I will be asking for a refund for the $140 trip fee, but I doubt I will get it back. I would not recommend this company! read more

I would hire HP again. Quick, responsive, and no BS fee for estimate like the other plumber outfits utilize. I get that coming to the customer's home = $$$ however, be careful out there. Other outfits will say in their advertisement free estimate, but expect $19.99 up front and then will waive the fee if you decide to go with their service. This does not give you the option to price shop and before then you spending few more dollars. HP didn't do this at all so they have my respect. They arrived, gave me two options to choose from. Aug the toilet or remove the toilet completely and different pricing. Thank God all we had to do is AUG the toilet and free the stuck toilet paper spindle that fell in. Needed a new faucet added/changed to my kitchen sink (my home is only a year old with no rust or issues). No side sprayer, none of the fancy or complicated tech going on these days, no drilling, just basic swap for better looking and more efficient faucet. While not a difficult job for a plumber or really, any handy man; it can be quite complicated for say... the type of person that can only check the oil on the car and hammer a nail in drywall, and apparently also the the type of person that doesn't think they will get taken advantage of from a company with such nice work and reviews (me). Pros- -Response time was faster than the speed of light. At my home next morning. From request to installation completion was under 15 hours. -Polite -Arrived at expected time frame -No issues with installation and looks as it should Cons- This was the only one responding that did not give me at least a price range. I spoke to 8 other companies and the highest bid (all with photos of my project) was $160 and the lowest was $90. I should have asked for a price quote or range from this company also. They seemed honest with great reviews so I thought it would hover around those prices and was even willing to pay the highest bid I received or expected maybe a little higher. He arrived and did the job as normal. There were no unexpected issues or problems. No unusually tight spaces compared to standard sinks. No clutter, no leaking, no rust often found on older faucets (my existing/old faucet was 13 months old). As far as faucets go, it was a dream job. New, clean, counter already cut to accommodate size, etc. The price was $230 not including a tip. Had I known it would go this much higher, I would not have hired them (my fault for not getting this price range up front). For $230, I'd expect maybe some patented, glow in the dark silicone or perhaps a faucet that washed my dishes for me, Mary Poppins style. But I don't. The job was done well and without incident but this was a basic and standard plumbing job without problems on my end. When I mentioned this in email with the invoice, I was never responded to. I see the basic and standard cookie cutter responses to all reviews here. Happy to see a company takes the time to respond to people on Yelp, even if disingenuous. If you have a standard plumbing need, I'd consider others just as qualified in the area for a much lower price. If Hydro Plumbing has some sort of specialty, such as tankless water heaters, ground work, remodeling or otherwise, I'm sure Hydro will do a fantastic and great job but expect the price to exceed others in the area by 25-100%. read more

Richard was awesome and very detailed in regards to figuring out what caused the backup and what my options were to fix. What I liked is that they sent a plumber (Dustin) to review the work on-site, at no cost, in order to ensure an accurate quote. They subsequently provided a quote by email with electronic approval, making it very simple and easy. The appointment was scheduled by me a week later, and Dustin arrived promptly and jumped right in, literally. Took a long time to complete as it was a complex project but it came out great, and Dustin should be commended for all his efforts. I rarely need plumbing services as I can do most things on my own but this time around I became very dumb founded as to why my kitchen sink were backed up and caused a problem. I contacted Hydro Plumbing and all I can say is from the receptionist to the Plumber Aric who arrived on time and contacted me before to let me know how long it would take him to get to my house were all very professional. When Aric arrived he was goingnto put booties on his boots which I am laid back and told him no cause I have tile floor and asked to make sure it was OK. I showed Aric the issues and explained what I did as far checking the p trap and pipes and disposal. He knew right off the bat the outlet or drainage pipe was the issue. He gave me the price which I knew was alright and fair. I had him snake out the pipe and found out the grease was building up overtime and clogging pipes. When done he suggested later on to do a jet service and mandatory camera check to ensure the pipes were free and clear. All in all I felt this business was fair as I use to work for a plumbing company many years ago and know prices and what most entail. I would recommend them to anyone. read more
