First of all, there is free parking in the back for customers. We were able to get an awesome spot in front of the store. We walked towards the front entrance and were delighted by the bubble machine blowing loads of fun bubbles into the air. As we walk into the store, we notice the lovely fragrances that were not overpowering which we loved, then we are greeted by the super friendly staff. He informed us that there was another location in Pleasanton where all the products are manufactured. Good Common Sense only makes their products with natural essential oils. Their products are also amazingly aesthetically appealing as they are artful and practical products. I thought that the store would only have items for my daughter and I, but my son had a blast looking at everything, and he walked out with a dozen mini-bath bomb and a large Dino toy cupcake-shaped bath bomb. As we approached the door, we could actually smell the heavenly scent of natural oils of wonderful herbs out the door us to step through the portal. Clean surroundings, and we were greeted coming through the door very politely . everything we needed to know about the products there was explained to us. Quality and natural ingredients are emphasized at this business the person that greeted us knew the product and was really well informed. This place has everything. My daughter and I found this as one of the Yelp events and we needed some stuff for the home so we decided to check it out and have a day over in that part of the bay area. We had an opportunity to look over the shelves and if you go in there and can't find something you want to take home with you I can understand why. I found more than I needed, but controlled myself lol. My daughter also picked up something special for her mom. I've been around a long time and I can recognize quality products made with quality ingredients because there's something to the scent and texture that will separate them. I can easily recommend this place if you need soap, essential oils, infuser, air, purifiers, and things that make your house a home. This was totally worth a trip. read more

This place is so cute! And bigger than I anticipated. I was so excited by the bubbles outside like the other Elites. The guy working was friendly and informative. He told me about the different products, how they're made without harsh chemicals, and offered me samples for the items I was interested in. It was my first time here. Pros: -walking in was very welcoming -so many things to look at -love the variety of products offered( skincare, essential oils, bath, etc) -location- so many shops around the area -The employee was helpful and knowledgeable Cons: - timed street parking (it was crowded when I went) I was told they also have a location in Pleasanton as well. All items are natural and made from the Pleasanton location. I liked the different scents of essential oil. Not too strong. Overall, I will come back and possibly visit the Pleasanton location. I was here for a yelp related event, but I also decided to buy some of their products as well. Along the wall and throughout the store, they have labels for every item they have, along with scent sticks to give you an idea of the fragrance you will be getting. I have sensitive skin, so this place feels like the best place for me. One of the owners, Lucas, was helping me and explaining to me all of their products. After browsing the store, I left with a body wash and a shampoo. The smells are amazing and I enjoy the essential oils and herbal flavors they offered. I had a great experience with the service. My only reason for a 4 star rating is the prices. I love supporting small business, but it was a bit more than I anticipated for just these two products. The store is was started by a husband and wife. The wife makes all of the products from scratch using essential oils and natural ingredients. Unlike other product stores, you're not met with an overwhelming whiff of smells that will clog your sinuses or give you an instant headache. The store layout was easy to navigate and decorated so nicely. Parking was very easy to find, when I was curious about a certain scent, the owner came over and gave me a sample of the scent in a body butter and advised I walk around and let it sit for about 1-2 mins to get the real scent on my skin. This helped tremendously because how it smelled on my skin was 10x better than what it was in the bottle (this is a good thing). The prices are reasonable, the smells are not too over powering, and I'm so excited to try out the new products on my very sensitive, strawberry skin legs. read more

Buyer be warned - none of the soaps, lotions etc are returnable or even exchangeable. There is a notification in very small print which is hard to see. Everything comes sealed and it feels that if the product is in perfect condition one should be allowed to at least exchange aromas or colors. I was gifted almost $100 worth all in smells I don't love. I was simply told to regift. if a store has such a stringent policy it should be in bold print and prominently displayed. I even left my phone number for the owner to contact me. The store looks nice and I'm sure the products are good. My rating is based solely on the return policy. The sales clerk did her best to help and was empathetic. Reviews are there to help businesses learn how their customers feel. I would not shop here based on their no return policy. I recently purchased their new skin care regimen (about a month in now) and wow, it's turned my skin issues around. I'm someone who just tried to avoid skin care products and purely wash my face each night after my skin started to break out about 6 years ago. I suspect the skin issues came from gut health problems after extended exposure to black mold. I was beginning to think I'd just have to come up with some decent non toxic soap to wash with and nothing else (after doing a little research into a brand I'd been using for years that just didn't seem to be doing me any favors *Clinique*). However, Good Common Sense had a promo to try their new serums and I already had to restock several items, so I took the plunge and tried their entire skin care regimen. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the results. Zero adjustment phase... no break outs after switching to nightly moisturizer when my skin was use to being dry... And the serum just smells incredible. Given my history with black mold exposure, I did not expect the added bonus from getting in the habit of using a gua sha to massage in the serum each night. It's made me more aware of how important lymphatic drainage is and to really manually help my sinuses heal through massaging my face each night.
