My black cherry with chocolate waffle cone.

Great place for ice cream across from the ferry dock. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the ice cream. The waffle cones were fresh, crisp and flavorful. I chose one with chocolate. Ample seating outside in a little park with rest rooms. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Both girls working were very nice! I usually get a small scoop which I know means two scoops and split it for my two kids. Here they had a kids scoop option so each kid got their own. I decided last minute to get the Mackinac Island fudge and peanut butter ice cream. The fudge looked good, but we already had our fair share from the island the day before. The ice cream was delicious and I'd go back!

Sampled fudge here it was pretty great. Unsure why this has such poor reviews. Person at counter was nice and fudge was delicious.

Well, you're S.O.L., my friend. Luckily, my kids like ice cream, so we headed to Sanders because it was basically across the street from our hotel. They got a milkshake and a scoop of chocolate ice cream in a cup (their standard orders), and they were happy with their treats. But if you're looking for some other kinds of ice cream treats, they also have sundaes and things of that nature. Sanders also has a whole case of chocolate goodies, like peanut clusters, coconut clusters and pecan clusters (they seem to like their clusters here); chocolate-covered Rice Krispie Treats; truffles and peanut butter cups and toffee; caramel apples; and lots more. Oh, and fudge. But honestly, I would get fudge somewhere else that isn't a chain. There are lots of fudge places on the island. That's the thing: Sanders is a chain. But it's a Michigan chain, and originated in Detroit, so it's kinda local. Nevertheless, it's a good place to pop into to find something sweet to eat.

The popcorn looks decent, not sure if they would be good enough to last for my team next week though. Ended up grabbing a bite or of water and chamomile brewed tea with carbonated water in a can. $7.60

Once you start seeing the British Landing signs, you know that you are close to a treat and food refuel. This area on your stop is worth it. There is a small nature area that has bathrooms indoor. Nice views of the water and areas of history to read about. Ton of places to park your bike. Cannonball serves class American comfort foods such as fries, hamburgers, pretzels, corndogs, ice cream, and even fried pickles. My go-to is a corndog and fried pickles - biking 8 miles works up an appetite. Always been happy with my food. There is an order window to the right and pick-up window to the left. Staff are friendly and helpful. The time of waiting in line to getting food is efficient. Is it a little pricey? Of course, again, it is the only place to get food on that side of the Island. To the left and right of the Cannonball has a ton of picnic benches. Must-stop on your journey!
