After a long walk downtown in Saint Ignace, my husband and I were hot and craving something cool. We decided to check out this small ice cream shop just before closing time. Although they didn't have a huge selection left, the worker was super friendly, and the prices were very affordable. We enjoyed the cookies and cream flavor, and it was absolutely delicious! I joked to my husband about knowing their supplier, haha! We highly recommend this sweet spot definitely worth a visit! :) read more

This place was so cute and perfect! It can get busy, but the line moves quickly. I enjoyed the prices and flavor options. Everything I tried was delicious, and I appreciated how friendly the staff was. Right outside is a small park overlooking the water, which was gorgeous. I liked grabbing my small ice cream and sitting by the water. I'd definitely return. read more

"Just when it seems so clear That it's over now Drink your big black cow And get out of here" (Steely Dan) This super cute ice cream parlor with a fittingly cute name was excellent. They had some very interesting flavors - Paradise Blueberry Waffle Cone, Michigan Pot Hole, Carrot Cake, Campfire Smores, Traverse City Cherry Amaretto, Zanzibar, Superman, and Blue Moon for examples. Pricing is very reasonable - a small cup (with two scoops) is just $3.75. It was very tough deciding on a flavor. We ended up with a two-scoop small cup of Carrot Cake over Traverse City Cherry Amaretto. I went with a double scoop of Paradise Blueberry Waffle Cone because I was enchanted by their description - "Premium Blueberry Ice Cream with a blueberry swirl and chocolate covered waffle cone pieces". I loved that Blueberry ice cream; great flavor and those chocolate waffle chunks really added a ton of flavorful crunch. In the name of science, I also tasted the Carrot Cake and Traverse City Cherry Amaretto. The Cherry was excellent and really burst with that sweet Cherry flavor. Molly Moos was excellent. read more

My family and I came here for a last minute ice cream treat after touring Mackinac island. We found that they had gluten free waffle cones which is amazing for my family. As we have 3 people who are all gluten free. They have such fun flavors that are delicious tasting and amazing! Going on the list to come again when we visit. Stopped by while in St. Ignace for a camping trip. There are many unique & tempting flavors to pick from. Ice cream scoops are very generous & the prices are reasonable. We lucked out & didn't have to wait long to be served. The shop offers indoor, covered outdoor & open outdoor seating with views of the lake & ferry boats headed to the island. It was a nice treat on a lovely summer day. read more

My husband was craving ice cream, and who am I to say no? We stopped here as a last Hurray to the summer, day after Labor Day. He ordered four flavors (carrot cake-divine) (coffee flavor - also delicious) (raspberry with chocolate - yum!) (Blueberry-waffle cone - not as good as the rest but still decent). Staff is NOT friendly. These young ladies are serving ice cream, not scrubbing toilets. The ice cream is always very good. Staff is never ever smiling. I ordered a mixer for a change of pace. It had about 4 bags of m&ms in it, and I almost brought it back because it was almost impossible to eat. read more

I had the pistachio ice cream & honestly it was the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had! Really!! This little place is right across from the Lake Huron Boardwalk! Oh man. We went here two years ago and my soft serve was so bad that I threw it out. I love ice cream and usually can tolerate bad ice cream. This stuff went to the birds. This year we went again and I decided to get hand scooped ice cream (basic, not too great), and my my decided to test her luck with the banana frozen yogurt. For starters, they gave her strawberry instead, but she decided to take a lick and did exactly what I did: threw it to the birds. Seriously, how do you screw up ice cream? read more

One of the probably better choices in a sea (more like puddle) of options in the immediate area north of the bridge. Lots of interesting flavors we wouldn't always find back home. The menu was actually kind of fun and made choosing what to get difficult. Kind staff. Great all weather seating overlooking the lake. Everyone left happy. Definitely worth the stop on vacation. read more

The family and I were looking for a place to grab a sundae and some cones which brought us to Molly Moo's. The place looked nice from the outside and had outdoor seating. There was no clear parking lot so we parked in the chamber of commerce lot. First thing I noticed was the lack of customer service.thw kids working the counter didn't know how to say "hi how can I help you". After I had given them our order without being ask what we wanted, I had to tell them we needed to pay for the food. Really?! Everyone else ordered cones and I had the turtle sundae. Hard to screw up the cones but they made up for it on the sundae. The hot fudge was replaced by chocolate syrup. Lame. I don't recommend this place. read more

I didn't take pictures but we stopped here after a mediocre pastie lunch to go enjoyed in the bay. With a group of 5 I e pecked someone to complain. Nope, very very friendly and delicious ice cream selections. Peanut butter mackinaw fudge, Michigan pothole, cool mint cookie, cowpachino & mine a chocolate malt. All very very good locale made and worth the stop. We may go again before the week is up. read more

Excellent selection of ice creams, quick and friendly service. Has a clean, shaded patio for outside seating. I had the no-sugar-added mint chocolate chip, and my daughter had a double scoop chocolate and vanilla. HUGE portions! They had a long line, but the young staff working there handled it like pros. I ordered a scoop of cookies & cream in a waffle bowl. One scoop was the equivalent of about two and a half regular-sized scoops. The only thing that I would change would be the bowl size. The waffle bowl didn't quite fit right into the bowl they provided. It was too big and therefore awkward to eat. read more

Excellent service, some of the best ice cream I've had. Not that soft serve crap, but actual authentic ice cream. Sooo many flavors, had a hard time choosing. The staff was wonderful and even though we went in a large group, served us with patience and kindness. Ate outside as the sprinkling rain diminished, and caught sight of the largest rainbow I've ever seen off the waterfront!! Ps. The sundae was twice as big as I expected for the price. I got the regular Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream, and it was good. The toppings were run-of-the-mill. The service was polite and efficient. As someone who used to manage an ice cream shop, I think they did a fine job. They have outdoor seating with a nice view of the lake. This is a good place to get a reasonably-priced, yummy dessert for a family; or have an ice cream-fueled walk near the water. read more

We went in for ice cream and the ladies working the counter weren't friendly. Then our ice cream all tasted old. My mom had scoop ice cream and she said it tasted freezer burned. My sister has a milkshake and said it tasted like old chocolate. I had a mixer. I thought the Reese's would be mixed in, but they were layered and the Reese's were for sure old and the ice cream was grainy. Not worth going there at all. read more

I really miss this place, it has one of the yummiest homemade ice creams I have tasted in a long time. I love the Mint with Local Mackinaw Fudge. This place is small but has plenty of outdoor seating. It's actually one of the perfect spots, for viewing Summer fireworks on the lake. The place also seems dirty and messy, but I didn't notice anything unhygienic. The place isn't clear to spot from the road, it blends in line of building with same height. The sign isn't lit up, so can't really see. But everyone around the neighborhood knows Molly. I love the friendly and smiling young staff, they are not only fast, but really have good info for the tourist. read more

Ice cream is great, the service not so much. Literally had to change our order three times. Once because we ordered from then menu that is posted and they said we don't have that today. Then update the board! Second time was because they didn't have the ingredients for the shakes. Third time was a charm and we got what they visibly had out. The girl behind the counter asked three times what I wanted and I told her three times! I said one scoop and she proceeded to give me three which I kept saying stop and she didn't listen. Unfortunately it got wasted because I wasn't that hungry (hint why I asked for one scoop). So three stars for the ice cream but service needs to improve and they need to have enough ingredients to make shake or not offer them. read more

Great choice of flavors. My wife and I were in St. Ignace for 2 days and we got ice cream here each day. We got hand packed rather than soft serve so I can't comment on the latter. There is an excellent range of flavors from which to choose. We had four different flavors between the two visits. All were excellent but my wife particularly liked the mint with local Mackinac fudge. I believe that was the name. The price was reasonable and the serving size exceptional for a resort area. There seems to be a trend for high end creameries to compete on the basis of butter fat content, the higher the better. The result falls short on the taste spectrum. Molly Moo's has rich but not overwhelmingly high butter fat content so the components can easily be distinguished and contribute to the overall flavor. The service was excellent. The negative comments below are from 2 to 4 years ago and don't accurately represent the shop as we found it in July 2019. read more

I just received 3 flavors of fudge in the mail-choc pecan, choc pb, & rocky road. They're good, but…read moreless buttery, creamy, & rich as I've had from there over the past 6 yrs or so. They seem to taste sweeter than before & smooth, but the texture seems a bit different. I'm a very picky fudge connoisseur, & the fudge is still good, but this is the 1st time I haven't felt it was great.
