Fresh ingredients, welcoming people. I had some misgivings about going to a hippie-sounding restaurant. My fears turned to satisfaction after having the Mediterranean salad bowl. All fresh ingredients and everything in the bowl was cold. This may not seem like an important detail, but on a Summer day it is of consequence. The woman who I guessed was the owner was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and gave a good vibe to the place, and it shows through in the quality of the food. My Buddha bowl was nicely stocked with a bed of quinoa and topped with tender butternut squash cubes, lightly grilled cauliflower, kale, and very tasty cubes of crispy tofu. It came with a very nice sauce which seems to be their variation on tahini but a very good variation. My wife opted for the chicken Caprese sandwich and sweet potato fries which I sampled of course and it was good. We washed it down with a refreshing and satisfyingly pulpy passion fruit juice. Those complaining about the prices just don't understand what it's like to own a restaurant. Other places will charge 15$ for food that costs less than a dollar to produce. Good Earth is giving you all sorts of vegetables and fresh items that simply just cost more. $9-12 for an entree isn't expensive people; this is how they pay the bills! Anyways, so glad this place is in the neighborhood the food is delicious and staff is so friendly. The detox-fire juice is so delicious, energizing, and really what I need for my alcoholism recovery. We have had a few to go meals from Good Earth, sometimes post Gym, sometimes for a quick healthier lunch/dinner and have been happy with everything. The soups have always been great and hearty. Smoothies are close enough to regular flavors that you are familiar with, but each with a bit of a unique small touch of flavor that makes them feel special to here.
