The cashier seemed a little rushed and aggravated, the bagels themselves are mid (too tough and not much flavor imo), and the atmosphere had kind of muted vibes- not exactly what you want in a morning breakfast place. This was as close to an NYC bagel as I have so far been able to find in Mass. (I KNOW.) Grabbed an everything bagel that had just come out of the oven and it was incredible, with the signature crunchy exterior and chewy interior that I have so dearly missed. My only complaint was that the top part was a little burnt but otherwise, I even preferred that it was not as doughy and heavy on the belly as the NYC behemoths (Ess-a-Bagel) tend to be. Good amount of lox and toppings, and for someone who can't consume too much cream cheese in one sitting, the portion was the perfect amount (though maybe bagel purists would say the bagel could have used a smidge more cream cheese). The food here is very good, and the service is prompt. I went in with my son today and one of the line cooks even took the time to ask exactly how he wanted his burger- nice touch. The reason to knock two stars off is because one of the employees had a deep cough that we kept hearing for the 45 minutes we were in there. He was involved in cooking...not wearing a mask. What I assumed was the owner was there and seemed to be in no rush to send this employee home. Please understand that this is not the way to keep customers coming back. Been here several times to date, and the bagels are consistently good and fresh. You do have to get there fairly early (I'd say before 8 AM on a weekend) if you want their full selection of bagels. I haven't been able to try a garlic bagel yet as they're always sold out by the time I get there around 9:30/10 AM. People do come in here and get dozens at a time, so that may explain why they go so fast. I overheard one of the employees tell a customer they do "bakers dozen" so I think you get 13 bagels instead of 12 when you get them in bulk. For the second time, they did toast my onion bagel a bit too much and the onions on top were burnt to a crisp. So the last time, I did ask them to re-toast it, lightly, and it was much better. Didn't give us a hard time about that at all. I no longer ask for "toasted" here, but "lightly toasted." read more

Went in for the first time after hearing great things about this place, gotta say I was disappointed. Two stars because the food was pretty good, could be better though. The customer service was extremely lacking. We were cut off by the staff before we could finish our orders, which in turn made it so we couldn't drink our coffees. We were cut off before we could ask for alternative milks (dairy intolerances). Flavored coffee was flavorless and watered down, and our food order number (which wasn't given to us) was screamed at us from the pick up line. Won't be coming back. read more

Had lunch here. I ordered an Italian sub. Worker took bread from a clear plastic bag. It must have been in there a long time as the bread tasted like an old kitchen sponge. I love finding new bagel places out here in metro west and when my wife and I were heading grocery shopping we found this place.. Maybe I went on an off day - I ordered a sesame bagel with Olive cream cheese. It was so dry I wondered if they even put cream cheese on the bagel, I cant even call it a spread it was more like a spray. Next no olives.. none.. no olive pieces, no pimento.. nada and I couldn't really get a taste because of the spritz of cheese on the bagel. The bagel started off as a nice chewy.. but that wore off as the chewing because too much my jaw started to hurt. The place was pricey - Adding cream cheese cost more than the bagel itself (that's just bad math). Fresh lox on a bagel was like 15$ - no way! Not even sure why this is called bagel factory they seem to be a sub shop that sells bagels. A place like bagel factory I want to see bagels being made, tons on bagels on display, a good amount of cream cheese and toppings. read more
