A happy new member of the community.

Recently we moved to the area. We stopped in for breakfast, and, the Scones, clotted cream, homemade jams and coffee were excellent. Then We attended The Cafe's High Tea. It turns out that Annette (the owner) is from Ireland---and what a great vale the High Tea was. This Cafe is a 'best kept secret' among the locals. The furnishings are so inviting --- Oh! and the soups/sandwiches are great. Lee Labiento * pictures on on the Cafe's site.*

Vintage Cafe's attention to detail and abundant care for their customers really shows, which is why this is my favorite cafe in Northern Mass. The Hospitality absolutely floored us. Greeted with a friendly good morning in from behind the counter, followed by quick service made this place an instant favorite I will be excited to return to. We ordered: Mocha Latte - In a Mug Banana Bread - Two slices beautifully toasted a butted Waffles - made fresh Chicken soup - served warm in a tureen. The Atmosphere: Gorgeous eclectic ambiance with antique cameras and devices shelved around the cafe. Plenty of couches, leather chairs, stools, high tops and large wooden tables. This place is perfect for anyone from an early riser looking for their quick fix to a busy college student looking for a place to work to a casual passer-by hoping to find a nice cafe to read in.

An absolutely delightful experience! Great food, great atmosphere, accommodating service and great interior design! I loved the antiques throughout the building! Delicious breakfast, coffee and tea as well!

My three young kids and I went to the Vintage cafe for the first time because it looked really cute from the outside and we didn't have time to go to Victors 50's diner like we normally do. 50 minutes in an almost empty cafe later, we had to get our food to go and the kids had to eat in the car and we were late to my son's sporting event. We will never go back again. In the spirit of fairness, and because it wasn't all bad, here are both sides of our experience: Pros - Very cute décor, almost felt as in a living room. Had books, for adults and kids, and vintage appliances that were cool to look at. - The employees were very nice and trying to do their best - Some of the flavors were good/interesting. Fresh ingredients. - My cafe latte tasted great (but took a long time to come out too) - Berry smoothie was tasty but had wayyyyyyy too many seeds in it. - Probably a good choice for to-go pastries or stay if you have an hour or more to hang out with friends (not children) Cons - 40 minutes before ANY of our food came out. My kids were starving and we were now late. We had no more time to sit and eat as planned. - Other diners who came in after us were served similar things as we ordered, ate, and left before any of our food was served. - I was told that "avocado toast is very complicated to make" (see photo). Bread was good, nice oil on it, but no seasoning besides that on top of the avocado and tomato, making it quite bland overall. - Two kids had Nutella and fruit crepes which were horrible and almost inedible. Too gooey in parts, too crispy in other parts, very light on Nutella. - Bacon, egg, and cheddar bagel was dry and not flavorful. - Tropical smoothie had no flavor at all and was very chunky. - We were given a bag of food with sincere apologies (but no offer of refund, coupon for next visit, other recompense) around 40 minutes in. Thankfully I asked to validate that everything was in there before we left. Turns out, it was missing one of the two crepes and we had to wait another 10+ minutes to get everything we ordered. - I paid $68 for this experience and left frustrated and angry with (now) hungry, cranky kids.

    They even serve alcohol!

Since the new ownership, this is my favorite coffee shop and there are some good ones in Concord, Marlborough and Natick. There's a great atmosphere, and the owner is so welcoming, and she even prepared a salad for me today, despite the fact that there isn't one on the menu - now that's what I call service!!

These people make the best hot coffee And breakfast sandwiches. Real thick bacon, never bitter coffee. Great atmosphere, would recommend!
