Well before it's charming renovation, back to when it had leather bar stools at the bakery counter and Jim in the back making the best apple fritters you've ever had. I come whenever I'm in town and it's always good. I think more than anything I come for the nostalgia. The Rice Krispie treats are always a solid pick and I enjoy them a lot. Same with the smiley face cookies, the bakery frosting is the best. I got a parfait for the first time since high school though and was sorely disappointed. They used to use wake robin yogurt (which I do remember them discontinuing some years ago), but now the yogurt is SO sweet. Overall it makes the parfait too sweet with the homemade granola and blueberry coulis. I couldn't help but notice how much smaller the parfait portions are too. They used to be full sized cups and now they're nearly half their former size which was definitely disappointing considering the price has certainly not gone down. In summary, the bakery will always hold a special place in my heart. Been going since I was a baby. The treats are good, sandwiches are solid, and they have a wide variety of beverages. Steer clear of the updated parfait though

Ok...today was a redemption meal…read more My son decided he wanted a Holy Cow steak sandwich for lunch today...so post haircut we had lunch there today. I had the Steak BLT with a side of onion rings and bottom line up front....I am happy with my lunch and upgrading my number of stars hack to 4. The BLT with steak was full of flavor and I throughly enjoyed it. Imagine a pile is juicy tender shaved steak on top of a BLT with ripe tomatoes, crispy lettuce and creamy mayo all sandwiched in a hoagie bun that's soft on the inside with a firm flaky exterior. I mean come on.... I'm full belly happy. Redemption!!!!

We arrived early in the day, likely one of the first customers of the day. We ordered 2 traditional cheesesteaks to go. After a reasonable amount of time our sandwiches came out and were bagged at the front counter. I could see they were of ample size and the carryout bag had some " heft" to it. It even felt I got my monies worth. Unwrapping the sandwich revealed the special roll that is advertised LOADED with steak, onions and cheese. There were also black grill scrapings. It was unfortunate. I would have given this sandwich a solid five of it weren't for the scrapings and accompanying burnt taste. Based on what I saw and others reviews, I'll give this place another try. If my experience is positive, I'll update this review Stu

What I did know is that I preferred not to dine at a chain restaurant. Low and behold, I took a right turn and ended up Mattie Street, and to my left was a very unassuming green "house." Once I approached and read the sign, I realized it was a restaurant. The welcome sign stating that this was a farm to table establishment was all I needed to convince me to walk in. Upon entering Roseadah's, I instantly felt very comfortable. This eatery has a very laid-back, cozy vibe that I particularly enjoyed. My family and I were the only ones dining at the time, so I had the opportunity to truly soak in this lovely eatery. The ladies who assisted us were both so very wonderful. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who's also the amazing chef, and her personality alone won me over! Now, on to the food. Delicious, scratch made appetizers and entrees. I enjoyed every bite! Not only did we enjoy our meals while there, we also decided to order some food to take home for dinner. My personal favorite was their duck bacon wontons, so good! We also drooled over their freshly breaded mozzarella sticks. (we are fried cheese fanatics). When you visit, definitely do yourself a favor and order those appetizers before your main meal. If I didn't have a reason to return to Auburn, I certainly do now.
