Thank you to Scott Edward for going above and beyond to balance my jacuzzi and cold plunge. I appreciated his thoroughness and willingness to work with me.

Scott ordered and installed a chlorine salt generator for our pool. His quote, schedule, and professionalism were all on point. Me and my family will be working with Better and Scott on future pool needs. PS they also installed our pool light - perfect job.

Trying out my jacuzzi with my daughter In Law, and Karma, Grace, and Faith.

My jacuzzi hasn't worked in decades. I used Google and found Scott from BETTER BUY POOL SUPPLY. I knew I had a leak, but didn't know where. Scott came by and we discussed some tree root problems, it lifted up cement and bricks behind the jacuzzi. Well Scott sent his team of men and they started off to work. It took 4 days, but they found the problem. It was tree roots that crushed pipes underneath the jacuzzi. They fixed the problem by replacing the pipes. I am excited to use my jacuzzi, thanks Scott.

Condition of pool after his 2nd visit.

Review updated 10/23 Since posting my review, Scott did reach out to see how we could make it right. I had an outdoor party scheduled and was very concerned I would have to cancel because of the condition of the pool. I told him I needed the work done by a certain date, and he returned on three occasions to ensure everything was up and running before my event. He also helped me complete some rebate paperwork to get some money back on the equipment that was installed. He did apologize and explain some of the delays and prior communication issues, and in the end, completed the job well. My property is rather far from where he usually conducts business, so I assume the distance added to scheduling issues. Without the poor experience on the front end, This would have been a five star review for pricing and quality of work. ------------------------upset that I have to resort to writing this review to hopefully get a response from Scott, and to warn others what they are getting into. After my family having a great experience with him, I decided to use him for my own project as well. On my family's project, he knew what he was doing, stayed well after it was dark to finish the job, and seemed to be an honest and hardworking guy. Fast forward a few months when I decide to call him for my own project. It took me a few weeks to actually get in touch with him, after leaving a few voicemails and texts with no response. That should have been the first red flag. Eventually, he made it out to my property, diagnosed the problem, and gave me a fair estimate on the spot. He said we would need to start work right away to ensure the condition of my pool didn't get any worse. He asked for a deposit to purchase all the necessary equipment, which was 2/3 of the job total. I gave him a check (per his specific request, does not accept card, venmo, or other electronic payment), and said I would see him soon. Week 1 passes, no response or update. Week 2 passes, still no update. Won't answer calls or texts. Week 3 passes, he says that he had trouble finding a part, and will have to drive somewhere to pick it up. Week 4 passes, no responses to texts, until I receive a text saying "I will be there today" saying he will be out to finish the job. Great news. Or so I thought. He messages saying he only completed part of the work, and will have to come back to do the rest. Of course, when I ask when, he doesn't reply. Week 5 passes, says he is planning on coming next week. Week 6 passes, no update or response. Week 7, here I am, still trying my damndest to get an answer as to when this job will be completed. I haven't had a pool to use for the warmest months of the year, and am embarrassed by my swamp green pool that all my guests are graced by. Week 8 will be Friday. He is competent at his trade, but this is bad business.

We had to resurface our fiberglass pool and spa. After getting several proposals, we were impressed by the knowledge and approach of Scott. We are glad that he was the one to perform the job. He was detailed oriented, and performed the job perfectly. If you need such pool job, I definitely recommend Scott and this company.

    New pool heater.

We recently bought our house and our neighbor highly recommended Scott for any kind of concerns or maintenance for our pool. Scott was very professional and knowledgeable. He did an amazing job replacing our pool heater. And not only by a good job well done but also their price is very reasonable. Thank you so much. We really appreciate your business. Thank you!

We were looking for a pool heater and Scott showed up to give us our options. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable about giving us what worked best. He installed a new power line and two heat pumps. Scott explained the entire process and communicated with us through every step of the job. He was on time and cleaned up after he finished. We are very happy with the results and would definitely recommend. Thanks for everything.

Simply Put: Avoid White Swan. They are scammers and liars. Aside from the fact that several…read moreemployees are borderline rude right from the start and act as though you are interfering with them watching their favorite TV show (read: annoyed that you ask questions), we extensively told everyone we spoke to there that we intended to place our hot tub at 105-106, before we purchased anything. No one told us this was not possible, and instead pumped us up that is was not an issue (it is in fact a Very Big Issue!). After installing the tub, we found out that the tub absolutely would not go above 104. This was not a small point for us and a very big part of our purchase decision, so for them to tell us "Sure! No Problem" again and again before the purchase was in fact a pile of Lies. When I later called them after the hot tub was installed to ask "how do we get it up to 105-106?" we were given a long list of absolute nonsense instructions that included - I kid you not - "Open up the circuitry and snip a certain wire - oh its easy - I just read about it - remove / install a certain resistor on your own (soldering??) - you can find directions on Reddit"... etc etc etc. All Lies, and most of these lies came from the owner Micah, who changed his story every time we spoke including "well I fully informed you that it could not be done (absolute BS - never happened)" and "well its a law in California to stop it at 104" - also 100% BS - there is No Such Law. I finally gave up and called other hot tub retailers to find out that due to manufacturers wanting the "UL" stamp on their products, they set it to 104 mainly due to hot tub installations in hotels and such where there is no way to know who is using it. One company - All American in Santa Clarita and SFV - sent a far more intelligent hot tub technician to our home where we discovered through his research and my own that the machinery inside the Artesian Spa was literally and permanently set to stop at 104, meaning 100% of the BS instructions from Micah etc were Never Going To Work even if I had been stupid enough to listen to his insane directions and - again no joke - start soldering resistors inside the machinery (No Effing Way I was ever going to do that). I had to call the machinery manufacturer to finally speak with someone who explained that the Artesian unit I bought from White Swan could only have the internal parts upgraded / swapped out (at additional expense of nearly $1000) to allow it to go past 104. I passed that info along to All American who promptly ordered me the parts and installed it. FYI, All American has a service fee of $125, as opposed to the White Swan service fee of $300 (big time rip off). This is all in addition to the original install including the White Swan tech leaving valves open so water was gushing inside the machinery upon first fill up. White Swan wanted to charge me $300 for them to "take a look" but I said F-No! and made it clear that this F-up was on them and they would fix it free. They capitulated and sent someone to close the valves that should have been closed on set up (we did not know about the valves). Their "Frog System" is also an expensive joke, with parts needing to be replaced often at a very high cost, and which you can only buy from their shop. It is no better than any other system, has more parts, has huge waste produced by these plastic capsules you constantly have to change, etc etc etc. Long story short I would never, ever recommend anyone ever buy anything from White Swan. We no longer even contact White Swan for hot tub issues and just go to the vastly more honest All American for all service matters who gets the job done fast and affordably. As I said in the start: Avoid White Swan completely.

We got quotes from several pool remodeling companies and Smart Swim came in right in the middle. We are strong believers on "you get what you pay for," and opted to go with them even though they were not the cheapest. From beginning to end, the guys at Smart Swim were easy to work with and truly wanted our project to come out great. After 30 years, it was time for our pool to have a remodel! Through the remodel, it was uncovered that we had many severe leaks, down to the rebar that needed to be fixed in some areas. Sam was great at making sure we understood the severity and that we were okay with any new costs that needed to be added. Not only did they do our pool, but also installed turf by the pool area and put pavers all around the pool and yard area. We also got the new gray gate installed from them as well, to replace the wooden fence in the yard (between the pool). **Noting that the perimeter wall/wooden top was painted black and sanded/stained by a different company. We truly appreciate their hard work and even when we had an immediate death in the family during their time working on our project, they were very respectful and gave us some space as needed.
