I came here on 11/26/11 to have them see what this grinding noise is that my Toyota Corolla has been making for awhile when I turn. It turned out to be a very bad problem and these guys highly suggested that I didn't drive back to LA. Since I had this sound for awhile, I decided to trust them. It was Thanksgiving weekend so it was done Monday morning and I was able to get back Monday night. Even though I had to skip work Monday, it was worth it. They showed me the ball bearings and everything was grinded up pretty badly. I talked to a bunch of other people and they said it was important that I got that work done. Suffered a blow out on the freeway on a Saturday at 5pm, at a time when most tire shops are closed or closing up for the day!! Called the 1st tire shop I found open and was quoted a ridiculous price for 1 tire!! Called good guys as they were open til 6pm and was quoted a great price over the phone. Had the car towed over to the shop and decided on buying an entire set of tires due to the great pricing I was given!! Chris & Javier did an excellent job taking care of my tire needs!! They were attentive and extremely helpful!! They got us in and out in no time!! They were right on time in my book!! No nonsense, no haggling back and forth, no trying to sell me a bunch of crap I didn't need, etc...... In today's mad world where every one is always trying to milk every last nickel and dime out of you as a customer, it was very refreshing to just get a good honest deal at a good honest price and be treated like real people!! Don't trust this place. The employees are rude, condescending jerk offs. I called in asking if they can mount my tires and they said sure, bring it in. So I bring it in and immediately they're just booked up like crazy. Cars going in and out of that place. Just imagine the bad drivers of Fresno on 41 and in general. Now imagine them in a small lot at Good Guys. Yeah. I walked in and this bald guy in his 50's or so just looked at me. No hi or anything. Guess what he asked? "What do you need?" Are you serious? Do I know you dude? What do you need??? Who the hell are you? So I told him that I talked to someone about bringing my car in to mount my tires and he asked who did I talk to? I don't know, some guy. "Well that doesn't help me much". You know, at about this time, i'm trying to remain civil but this guy is really pushing it to the limits. So I sarcastically asked him "Is this Good Guys?" "Yeah". "Oh, I don't think it is" and just waltz out of that shit. People....take your business elsewhere. There are great shops south of Shaw, 99, Clovis, etc. These shops are small, but they're losing business to these idiots who do not deserve your business and they will not only give you a better price, but match it with better service. My family and I have used this Good Guys location for years. They're franchised so I'm not sure if you'll get the same service at other locations. What I like is the owner is always on site and for all the years I've used them the crew hasn't rotated a lot. Prices are always competitive but the service is what does it for me. A while back I had a truck tire blow out at 5pm on a Friday. I was headed out of town and this could have been a real crimp in my plans. I called them and they sent a runner down to their warehouse on a special trip to get my tire and I was back on the road by 6. For service thats as good as it gets. I've used them for over 6 years now and I can't think of a bad experience. Well deserved 5 star rating. read more

I took my car here about. 2 months ago to get two new tires and an alignment. It was towards the end of the day when I dropped it off, I figured it would be ready the next day. One of the guys called my phone and left a voice mail right before closing and stated that my car "Is done and ready to go" (His exact words and I still have the voicemail) He said if I didn't come before they closed they'd tuck it away in the garage and I can come tomorrow to pick it up, which I did. When I went inside and paid, I was then told that the alignment wasn't done & my car's alignment was so messed up that there were parts that were broken and they strongly suggested I don't even drive home on the freeway (and definitely don't drive all the way to my job in Hanford!!) The ballpark price I was quoted was way more than I was willing to spend on my car at that point. I told the man that the voice mail said my car was done and ready to go and he said yeah I didn't say we did everything. Like what the heck?!?! Shouldn't they have called me and asked if I wanted to even waste over $150 on those new tires since my car wasn't even driveable?! I wish I would have thought to tell them to take the tires off at the time and give me a refund because that was so wrong of them to take advantage of me like that. I now have a newer car and will NEVER take it to any good guys location for ANYTHING. They have lost a customer for life. read more

I normally work on my car myself, but I got a code that could have been one of 5 different things and I didn't have the equipment to test them all, so I took it to Good Guys. The good: They explained what they were doing and how much they were going to charge. When they ordered a new part, it came in the next day. They gave me a ride to work both days (but I had to get my own ride back to their shop each day). They employees were polite and seemed knowledgeable. The meh: They are really, really expensive. They charged somewhere around $140 just to look at it, and they do not put that toward the cost of the repair. They also mark up the cost of any parts you buy. They typically won't do anything to your car unless you leave it with them for the whole day. The bad: As I said, it could have been 1 of 5 different things, and I was surprised when they called me after 20 minutes to tell me what the issue was. So I paid $140 for them to do a few minutes of work (even though $140 should get you a full hour diagnostic), and once they did their work, I was out $400. And guess what, they didn't fix the issue. To put icing on the cake, while I was waiting in the shop, I talked to another customer who said they did the same thing to him; they kept fixing random things and he kept taking it back because they didn't fix the problem. Any decent mechanic would take the time to do a proper diagnostic before just replacing a part and hoping that was the issue. These guys just try to cut corners; they charge you more than most shops (more than any shop I've called) and don't even fix your car. There is a chance you could get your car fixed here if your problem is really simple and straightforward, but don't expect them to actually troubleshoot anything. read more

I've been coming here since 2010, and I've never had an issue with them. In fact, they've always been great. They can be busy, but have always given me an accurate time as too how long it will take. After a different place tried to scare me into buying new tires, they assured me with my short commute, that I still had months left before I needed new tires. They always explain what needs to be done now versus what needs to be done in the near future versus what can be put on indefinitely. Good prices, quick turnaround, and honesty. Went in today to get a new pair of shoes for my Heavy Chevy, after a blowout on the highway yesterday. Anthony was great, as were the other staff, I'm happy with the service and the product, and they had it done in a reasonable amount of time. As a Technician myself, I don't usually let other hands in my truck, but on the road and far from my toolbox, I was left searching for a shop and am glad I made the choice I did. 8-21-2018 3877 N Blackstone between Ashlan and Dakota Location: You guys did not patch my tire and let me drive away telling me that you had. I walked out to a flat tire the next day. When I spoke to Anthony about it he tried to put the blame on the customer by saying I could've run over another nail or the patch could have been defective, but he assured me they did their job and patched it correctly. He told me to bring the car back and they'll take a look at it, if the fault was theirs then they will fix it, and it it was mine by running over another nail then I'm responsible. His tone was condescending, and I just did not trust them after talking to Anthony. I took my car to Les Schwab instead and told them I got a flat tire, I did not tell them that I went to Goodguys the day before. When the tech was done he told me that my car is pretty much brand new, everything looked good and he could not find any other problems, and he said that he patched my tire. I asked him if he patched my tire on top of the patch that was already there and he looked at me confused and said there was not a patch previously to him working on my tire. I called Anthony back and told him that I just left Lew Schwab, and they patched my tire. We went back and forth for a while, he wasn't listening to me, he thought Les Schwab found another nail and patched my tire... I told him 3-4 times that they did not find another nail! They saw the hole, where you guys pulled out the nail from and patched the hole. With their negligence, the situation could have been worse, and there is much more to what was actually was said and done, but the word count did not fit in my review. Anthony did not take any ownership and I did not ask for a refund or compensation, I just wanted them to know their wrongs and I wanted a true apology. By the way, I also asked for Corporates phone number and was given the number to a Saladino's food company and their Corporate fax number, I eventually found the correct phone number on my own, thanks again Goodguys for the misinformation. read more

I have purchased several sets of tires from this store. A gentleman first name of George always assigned me. I needed a battery and bought a new one with 850 CCA. Less than one year the battery failed. I charged it and it held for a short time and failed. I took my truck and returned to the store. I entered the store. There were two men behind the counter. Neither of them acknowledged I was standing there. Both were working on a computer. ( neither were George). About 5 minutes later, one, not looking up said"what do you need". I advised them about my battery. Both of the kinda shrugged their shoulders and not being sure said that will $75. I said I bought it here. The tall guy just turned and walked away. I said to the other guy, I don't understand I bought it here. To this he said it a totally non caring manor, it's $75. I left went straight to the Ford store, they checked it, no charge, and found it was only indicating 340 CCA. I bought a $165 battery. Good Guys we're the rudest non caring store I've ever seen. Fast and fair. I've been coming to this shop for a couple years for everything from a small light repair to window repair to tires to timing belts. They are communicative and do quality work. There's been several times when they could've easily charged me a lot more, but they didn't. It does get very busy in there, especially Monday's, so beware. These guys were so rude. I had lifted a jeep and taken it to them for an alignment. They were so rude and said, "We're not even going to touch that thing". It was not some clunker. It was a clean jeep with a 6" suspension lift that I installed myself. I ended up going down the street to Ray's Blackstone tire. Those guys were fast, cheap, and did the job right. Those tires wore even for years. About 8 years later I tried to bury the hatchet. I bought a 3 year old car that needed an alignment. I took it down the street to these guys and stopped in. They said they were done taking cars for the day. That's understandable, but the guy was really rude. Ended up going to Les Schwab down the street. read more

She thinks she gets a deal, however, what she really gets is them being nice to her and OVERCHARGING all the way to the bank. John and Jared will smile to your face, pretend to offer service, then overcharge for every little thing. I have brought my car to Good Guys twice now and both times, the experience has been great. I have a 2009 Hyundai Accent with over 150 thousand miles on it and I drive over 90 miles a day, so it needs a good mechanic to keep it in running order. This past visit, I needed new tires and the steering column was vibrating. Paul, the manager, was great - he listened to my description of the problems, got my car in right away, and even recommended that I go to the Denny's across the street for breakfast while I waited. It took a little longer to get my repairs done that I was originally quoted - 3 hours vs. 1.5 hours, but other than that I am very satisfied with how my car runs now. My gas mileage has improved and so has the handling. I will continue going here for my car repairs. read more

My Family has always relied on this shop. Owner John, Javier, and Anthony are always genuinely friendly and helpful. Even though getting your car fixed is usually as fun (and expensive) as having a tooth pulled on any given day you can walk in and expect to see happy customers bantering with the guys, maybe even dropping off a baked goody in thanks. I have a tight budget and an aging car and whenever I need maintenance or tires they always work with me to find something in my price range. They clearly explain everything from the estimate, to the repair, to the billing and I always feel taken care of, not taken advantage of. Perks include: They're open on Saturday, offer a pick-up service and 6 months, no interest financing. The only problem I've encountered is that they are often very busy and turnaround for repairs often pushes into the next day if you don't get there early in the day. Still, take this as a positive sign because It's clear they have built a loyal customer base. read more

This is MY tire store! The staff are so helpful and courteous and do their best to get you the help you need right away! I had a flat today after hitting some piece of scrap metal on the freeway and had to get it fixed. The tires in my care are less than six months old but the flat had a hole and was not repairable. Thankfully when I bought my set of tires at the store last fall, the recommended I get a warranty in case something should happen. Really a top notch tire shop. I have used them several times over the years and always left feeling like I was treated very fairly and the job was well done. My wife took her car in today with a very slow leak in one tire. I had taken it to a department store auto center on Sunday because Goodguy's was closed and not only were they unable to find the leak, they told me I had no leak and argued with me about it. In all honesty Goodguy's couldn't find it at first either...but they stuck to it - ultimately found it and repaired it. Spending a bunch of time on an inexpensive repair isn't something any shop wants to do...but these guys were willing to put in the time to finish the job right. The owner, John, helped me and took all the recommendations for my car. I had been to some national chains that gave me a laundry list of things that needed to be "fixed". Turns out some of them were not needed. The shop is busy so an appointment is always a good idea. I was really happy with the whole experience. My search is over. took my car to tranmission city for alignment and they said it needed a special bolt to correct the camber on pass side and needed an additional $ 162.00 to install it. I declined went home ordered the bolt online at Parts Geek for 21 dollors and change shipping and all and installed it in 10 minutes, call trasmission city and was told I would need to pay full price for a re aliagnment. Took it to GoodGuys and they aligned it for $20 dollors less and found it needed the driver side bolt as well. told me to get the other bolt and would re align it for free, asked if I bring the bolt how much they would charge and Anthony said we are already in there bring us the bolt and we will install it free. So far they have saved me 200.00 so far, will be doing all my business three from now on! read more
