I took my truck here today and asked for brake inspection and was informed they looked new and they didn't feel the pulsating as described. I then took it to get a second opinion and was informed that brakes were cracked severely and rotors were cracked needing replacement which I observed. If you're looking for a friendly, honest shop this is it!! I'm a female and finding a decent and honest auto shop is hard to come by. I drove around downtown Visalia looking for a place where they could remove a nail from one of my tires. After one auto shop denied me because they were too busy, I happened to drive around and found Carrolls Tire so I decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did, not only did they take out the nail from my tire but they mentioned it had not punctured all the way through and no other repair was needed. They aired up all my tires and said I'm good to go, no charge...what?! really?!! WOW!!! I had 4 tires and wheels installed . I noticed when I left the car felt off and my tire pressure monitor alert was going off . I drove home and the next business day went to the Porterville location since it was closer. Not only did they proceed to tell me that the reason my car was alerting me was due to the fact that 2 tires had 120 psi and that I was lucky it didn't explode on me. I was so upset I went back to Visalia and they acted like no big deal . They refunded my money back because I was not going to leave without it . DO NOT GO HERE !!! Incompetent people ! read more

We have had three experiences at this location and each has been quite good. The first time we needed a replacement tire put on our work vehicle. At several tire shops we were told the exact same thing, "If you didn't purchase the tire from us, we won't touch it." Then we went to Carrolls were we were helped without any hassle. Easy in, easy out. The second time we needed two front tires and very quickly because one was flat and the other was pretty close to flat. They found us decent tires at a pretty good price with mounting and all. I also really appreciated that even though they were quite busy they got us in and out fast. Third and most recently we again had tires of our own to be mounted. We walked in, signed our paperwork, and were on our way in 15 minutes or so. I love the quick, no hassle service. Prices are quite good. The other thing that I really appreciate about this establishment is the fact that you can easily see into the shop area. No shady business. All open and honest. Probably gonna be our go-to tire place for a while :-) read more

I visited the visalia location last weekend with a nail in my truck tire. It was 145 and I noticed the shop closed at 2, but since i only needed a plug there should be no problem in getting it done. I talked to the manager and he told me he turned the compressors off already.....Really how long does it take to flip them back on. Way to help out an in need motorist. Also my uncle went here a few monthes back and bought 4 new bfgoodrich tires and found out after examining the date code, 2 of the "new" tires were 5 yrs old!! Check the date code! So yesterday I took my ford expidition to have new tires put on and I was called by "Mike" who was helping me. He told me one of my Tire pressure sensors was broken and reccomend I change all 4 out since the car was 10 years old first off this same store is who broke my sensor 6 years ago while I was getting a flat repaired. I said ok as it was only going to be $50 a sensor x4. Then mike calls me back after they removed all my (working, yes even the "broken" one was working) sensors and said they could not get their sensors to program and I would have to go to the dealership. So now Ford is telling me $78 a sensor and 139 labor. I am extremely upset. Basically my car was damaged to add "new" hardware which could not be added and I am put sensors, my light is running telling me low tire pressure and i am expected to eat this $450 cost ($250 extra from what Carroll's told me) this is poor customer service! I used Hanford Carroll's from 2002-2011 and Marty did right by me. I moved to Visalia in 2011 and began going to Visalia Carroll's and have had issues. This is the final straw I believe this should be righted. My old sensors werent even returned to me when I asked for them. read more

We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. We needed two tires mounted on rims for our work truck. They mounted tires, balanced, and put them back on our truck for $30. I went in for a used tire and a front end alignment. They were quick & efficient. Clean bathrooms, competitive pricing, and overall clean facility. The only suggestion I would have would be to have an improved waiting area and clearly posted pricing. I've always got my tires from this location with no trouble; however, this particular time I brought a classic vehicle down for new rims and tires ready to purchase. I needed their expertise to help me pick the right offset for my rim. I was disappointed that they scheduled today in the afternoon, when I took the time off work, and seemed unwilling to help me today claiming "I can't do that today." They specifically set aside that time for me saying they could. I tried scheduling something on a Saturday, because that's my only day off work. I wanted to hold up a tire size against my car to better understand what I'd be purchasing out of a catalog, but they seemed unwilling to do so. I don't see how a business could expect someone to spend $3000 dollars without some professional guidance on the product they want to purchase. I walked in fully intending to purchase product and services and left very disappointed with my money in pocket. I would give this place 0 if I could. Me and my wife had a slow leaking tire that we had noticed in the middle of work. Because we got off at 5 and lived in the next town we decided to go to carols because they closed at 530. We arrived at 5:08, I let the attendant who asked if he could help me know that we had a slow leak and I needed the tire looked at. His response was that he could make me an appointment for tomorrow but that's it. Instead of letting me know exactly why he was unable to help me. Their hours say 530 so I even asked what time was close and he looked at me like I was dumb and responded 530. Very poor customer service. I drove not even a block west of the shop and found Hercules tire shop. I pulled in and immediately an employee guided my car in to the work area and asked what I needed and got to work. I'm not one to leave negative feedback but this was just disappointing. I went there because of the hours and good feedback on yelp but wound up getting the shaft. I recommend Hercules Tire. P.s. Terrible!! I'll make this as short as I can. I took a brand new Chevy Duramax (expensive) truck to Carroll's to have them install front leveling "Keys" to level my truck. I bought the brand of keys that I wanted for the truck and took them the parts to do the job. I told them the optimal lift for this truck with these keys is 2 1/4" exactly. I asked for a price to install these keys over the phone and I heard "$200", including a front end alignment. I told the service guy on the phone to adjust the front of the truck up exactly 2 1/4". I then dropped the truck off the next morning and told the measurement to another, different, service person, 2 1/4"! This guy handed me a work order to sign that only said "Keys" on the work order, nothing else, and I foolishly signed it and left the truck. When I picked up the truck I was told the bill was $300. I said the service tech told me $200. OK maybe I heard wrong, so I paid the $300 and left. The truck rode terrible, so I measured how much they lifted it. 3.0"!!. I took it back the next morning and asked them to lower it down 3/4". They did and realigned it, it rode perfectly but now had a dent in the fender. I told the manager of the problem and he said he would pay up to $100 to have the dent fixed, Which he did , but the dent would not have been there if they would have done what I asked them to do in the first place.
