Had dinner after some golf with 2 buds. We sat at the bar as to not wait in the dining room. This place was lively, a little loud but reasonable. Our waitress was attentive & explained anything few items for us with deco's on popular items. We ordered the blueberry mule & drunken chihuahua for beverages. All tasty & went down a bit too easy (the mule was in a glass tho?). We had fried cauliflower as an appetizer, tasty but arguably over sauced / became soggy. I didn't get my crews dinner pix but they had stir fry & one of the burgers. I had a Caesar with chicken which I did like. I did note the hot chicken was off to the side of the plate vs typically on top, perhaps not to wilt the romaine. Note that the chairs are hard sided which did become a bit uncomfortable. read more

Sorry folks This place missed the mark on every level. Was excited I had a free birthday appetizer and sad about what I received. It was during early happy hour, Saturday Feb.13 Waitress (super nice but took forever to be acknowledged as no host). She recommended the nachos since larger portion to share (with my friend). Beer was discounted but they "ran out of all but two".???? They make beer.... -Food was disappointing- diced tomatoes were pink and chips were stale. Cheese sauce was cold so in clumps. I've visited Good Liquid Brewing (GLB) a couple of times and the experiences have been about the same. The service is good, the drinks are good, but the food is a problem, at least to me. My first visit, my wife and I ordered food, only for the server to come back and tell us that they were out of some ingredients and my wife's dish could not be made, so she chose something else. No problem, this happens in new restaurants, and we're not the complaining type. No biggie. A few weeks later, we went back because we wanted to give it another try and it's a nice looking restaurant- cool vibe indoors, lots of TVs and a great bar area. The outdoor area is also very nice, with seating and lounging areas. During our most recent visit, my wife ordered something and was immediately told "We're out of that, sorry"- I mean, it was 5 pm on a Saturday, how are you out of ingredients already? Then I placed my order (stir fry w/ shrimp) and our (very nice and friendly) server said "You might get it in about an hour"- what? How does it take an hour to make stir fry, it's literally rice and vegetables? So I changed my order to something else. When I asked the server how long the restaurant had been open, I was shocked to find out it's been at least a year, as I thought it was maybe a month or two. Anyway, we did enjoy the pretzel rolls (appetizer) and the food was good, just your basic bar food, and our servers have been great so far. I just hope these kinks get ironed out soon, because that could haunt them, and frankly, we need good places to eat in the Parrish/Ellenton/Palmetto area. read more

First time customer and I loved the atmosphere! There is seating inside and out. We stopped for lunch and there were only a few other patrons. We waited quite a while before a server came to take our drink order. 3 of us settled on a flight of beer, which is 4, 4 oz servings. The flight is served via a glass board, with the names of the beer written, but on the wrong side. You had to pick up every beer and see the name behind it. Not sure why they couldn't have put it in the front for ease. I liked all the beer except the Amber, which is my fault. Amber is my go to, but this one was malty, which the description stated, but I failed to see. The menu has loads of appetizers, plus salads, sandwiches and entrees. I settled on the buttermilk chicken sandwich with fries. Food arrived timely and was very good. Often times bar food leaves much to be desired, but this place served up good food, served hot. There is a large bar and dozens of four tops. Service - Very Good. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Food - Very Good. My experience with brew pub food is spotty. In this case, I was very happy with my meal. The menu options are great! I ordered the Haymaker Burger and it was very good. It was cooked to the temperature requested and the sandwich was very flavorful. I ordered the MacnCheese as my side and it also was very good. Drink - Good. I ordered a sampler (4 six ounce serving of beer chosen from a selection of 18. I chose Kolsch (pretty good); Hazy IPA (I prefer IPAs, but this was just OK); Don't Feed the Gator IPA, very good and my favorite of the 4 samples) and Dunkel Fest lager (very good and my 2nd favorite). I have been a patron of Good Liquid Brewing since their first location opened in Bradenton. This is my first time visiting the Parrish location and I am happy to say they are still delivering the same level of quality product and service since day one. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Upon walking into the establishment you can see that everything is very clean and organized. Service was quick and the bartender was very attentive. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and side salad. The sandwich was excellent. The buffalo sauce had an intense flavor. The salad was a great substitute for French fries and there was no up-charge. The beer is average to above average compare to other craft breweries. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with a salad, and while it was decent, it didn't stand out in any way. My wife went with the Fish & Chips, and I sampled a bite, unfortunately the fish and fries had a funny taste from the oil they were cooked in. We sat outside on the patio, which was nice given the weather, but the space could use some upkeep. The tables looked worn, and the pavers were stained and in need of a power wash surprising for a place that hasn't been open that long. I went here (4 of us) to grab some dinner, wanted to sit outside and was seated immediately and provided menus. Then we were ignored for 25 minutes with servers walking past. We decided to leave and just grab some Jersey Mikes next door, we ordered, ate, and then walked past and the menus were still sitting on the table. This place could be a great local spot to enjoy, but sadly the staff just isn't up to the task. We will give it some time and try again. read more

The salmon over smoke Gouda polenta was unbelievable. I don't think I've ever ordered salmon at a brewery, but this is a must! Enjoyed the outdoor area, lots of Adirondack chairs and dog friendly! They even have a small dog menu, so I did the grilled chicken for my dog and she loved it! Adam was our server and was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. I think if I would have just come for the beer and some bar food, my expectations would have been met. Instead we came for lunch with a family friend from out of town. The location was spacious and I thought the outside seating area was a cute addition. We sat inside and our server kept disappearing. I ordered the espresso martini flight and that was pretty tasty. I found the brown sugar one was a bit too sweet for my liking but it was a heat choice for the amount of each sample I got. My nephew ordered some chicken tenders and fries but the chicken was a bit stringy when you ate them. I had chicken sandwich on a croissant that I enjoyed. We also had a Bloody Mary that seemed to be missing something from its flavor profile and the margarita was a bit heavy on the sugar. The beer and sandwiches seems to be where it's at here. So we had brunch here about a week ago and I can start by saying the hostess was friendly and prompt to seat us. Our waiter was a decent guy, but he forgot to bring my drink that I ordered, so I had to go up to the bar and order it myself. Seemed like a good fellow but needs to work on visiting his customers a little more through out the meal. The atmosphere was decent for a brewery-restaurant, it was comfortable and clean. The food was good. We had the eggs Benedict, ribs, poutine, and fried chicken sandwich. The Benedict was tasty and for filled it's roll, the poutine was very good but to much rosemary, the chicken sandwich was decent tasting for sure, and the ribs had good flavor but we prefer a little more fall of the bone. Though they could use some minor tweaks on some things such as more toppings on their nachos. While it was loaded with pulled BBQ pork, it was really lacking cheese and other toppings. We went to Good Liquid for brunch with our dog. We have been several times before and the food has always been just okay, and the service has declined every time we have been. This time it took over 5 minutes for the hostess to come out of the kitchen and finally seat us.
