Nice little brewery with a good variety of items on their menu and fair prices. The freshly made salsa was delicious!! They don't sell it in the brewery but once a month they have a nice vendor fair where you can purchase it at one of the many local vendors. We've been meaning to go to this place for ages as we tend to drive that section of 41 a lot. I'm so glad we finally did because it is a really cool place. The food was excellent and, although we couldn't partake at the time, their beer selection looked great. So this is place if you drive by too fast you'll never know it's there! Glad we stopped in as it was an enjoyable and unsuspecting treat. A combination bar and restaurant venue with an array of tap beers but no "hard" alcohol. Menus are laminated adventure and your served on paper plates and meals are packed in to go boxes already. Food choices were really unexpected with some "neat" offerings. We picked 3 but need to go back to try the others that caught our attention. I've been coming to Waypoint Bar and Grill consistently for about 6 months. Literally a weekly meal of mines! I'm in love with their customer service, the Owner is always hands on and very friendly. Jamie also gives me amazing service and is very sweet. The space layout is unique and fun. They have tables/seats outdoor and indoors as well as a small outdoor bar connected to the building. They have craft beers and weekly live music. I enjoy coming here! Dishes I've had : Azteca Salad : 10/10 my favorite salad ever. Goat cheese, lettuce, strawberries are always fresh! The sunflower seeds just give it the nutty and crunch it needs. I want to find this lemon poppy seed dressing or the recipe! Mahi Mahi : 8/10 very good but as Mahi can be it does get a bit dry. The sides rice, and beans were very good. Sweet Shrimp : 9/10 Delicious, always cooked perfectly and not too sweet. Pizza : 7/10 Tortilla Crust is clever and honestly tastes very good, but I believe it is over priced for the size and ingredients. read more

We've been wanting to try this place since driving past it off the 41 last month. Today was the day, a lovely Sunday at 12:30. It's more of a food truck as the kitchen with a nice building built next door to house the bar, some tables and the restrooms. Everything is nice and clean. Reggae was playing, and there was a turntable and nice selection of records nearby. The menu is simple and a bit unusual. I wanted a burrito and there were 4 real choices: a bean and cheese, a shrimp (bought that to go), a chicken and the Frito Bandido; I chose the last one. My order came with crips and salsa (a creamy chipotle that had a bite to it). My wife ordered a carne asada bowl and it was medium-sized with rice and beans and tasty. I had two draft beers and they were both good. The beers can be costly, up to $10 a pint. They had a special draft, the Cheeky Blonde, for $5.61. Not a lot of people there this afternoon, so plenty of seating inside and out. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely a place I'd like to come back to with friends. read more

Great food, service and atmosphere. Smaller menu of Mexican style food but all has been delicious. Several local beer choices and they also have wine. Laid back, beachy style decor, and they usually have live music. My only wish is that they were open a little later on the weekends. The menu choices are a limited but adequate mix of Mexican and seafood. That said, the serving sizes were good and food was quite tasty. We had the sugar shrimp (grilled shrimp on sugar canes), Steak Quesadilla, Tacos, and the Azteca salad. All were quite good and served by a friendly efficient waitress. Found out every day is Taco Tuesday with 2 tacos and a beer being $10. Seating available inside or outside on their terrace with very adequate free parking. We loved the atmosphere and vibe of this restaurant. They've been here for about a year. It's on RT41 on the left going towards Palmetto tucked in on the corner just before the flea market lot, so it's easy to miss. They have a small sign out on the corner. They serve the food on paper plates and in to go boxes. We had a Valpak coupon for $10 off a $50 bill. They were out of the Leaven Cheeky Blonde so I got the Tampa Brewing Day Donkey which was a really good craft beer suggested by my server, Dawn. We enjoyed the Black Bean Nachos, 3 Shrimp Tacos, Sweet Bean Burrito, a Mexican Pizza, and the Mayan Pizza which had pesto, tomatoes, chicken, kalamata olives and cheese on a 10" corn tortilla. Waypoint Bar & Grill is currently open Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The location is lovely, with swaying tall bamboos at the back of the property. A great deal of planning went into making Waypoint very special. The grill has its own food truck, with exceptionally delicious food. We had a taco pizza and a Frito Bandito Burrito, which came with an order of chips and salsa. Customers around us were ordering nachos, which looked amazing. They even offered small cheese pizzas for children. The owners focus on local Floria Breweries. Recent featured craft beers include Cycle Cream and Sugar Coffer Porter; Cycle Crank IPA; Cracked Thumb Grandpa Jack's PLS; Funky Buddha's Floridian Wheat; Motorworks Redcage Red Ale; Sailfish Tag and Release Amber; Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing PA; Tank Brewing La Playita PILS; and 7th Sun Graffiti Orange Wheat. The food was also served in disposable containers which isn't a big deal but the prices were not really indicative of take out food. There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant so we actually felt guilty asking her for anything. Expensive meal for something not even as good as Taco Bell.
