Worst boba. Asked if hot was available and was given ice. Price 6.75 instead of lower.

Incredibly rude owner. Cramped. Barely any selection. Can't even walk by other customer. Cash only but no signs or warning.

Grass-fed options and dry-aged steaks stand out for their rich taste and are far superior to grocery store. They stock an impressive range, from beef and pork to poultry, and house-made sausages. Custom cuts and seasonal specials make it easy to find exactly what you need for grilling, roasting, or gourmet meals. The staff are knowledgeable pros who offer spot-on advice on prep, aging, and pairings without any upselling. They'll even break down a whole cuts to your specs on the spot, making every visit feel personalized and efficient.

The quality is always on point (you get what you pay for) and the process is easy to preorder. The main thing to plan for is the long wait in line to pick up your preorder. In prior years, I've usually picked up on Christmas Eve and the wait can exceed 90 mins to 2 hours depending on when you arrive - this is the case even when you doorbust at opening time. This year, we picked up on the 23rd and arrived around opening time, and it only took 30 minutes. There are also very high quality pantry goods to peruse and purchase, including pasta, mustards, spices, tinned goods, etc. Onto the meat: I preordered late this year so got 21 day aged prime rib roast (would usually aim for 45+ days), but honestly it was hard to tell the difference. I ordered the roast pre seasoned, cradled and tied for ease and it was very high quality, easy to cook and delicious. Shoutout to the very friendly and hardworking staff at Olivier's - I see yall fighting for your lives trying to control that line every year (lol). Thank you for your service!

Yes I seen all the hacks about certain fruits which should be ripe but end up not ready for consumption. Then there are some which are visible like green bananas and green mangoes. These are usually found inside the chainstore grocery stores. There is one place for decades in the Mission District which has been offering one of the freshest fruits around in SF. It's located on 24th street and it's called Casa Lucas. On a Mission District Summer stroll I landed at Casa Lucas. Growing up in the Mission Casa Lucas has had a good reputation on having great juicy fruits. Although our family shopped at Safeway for groceries but the fruits were usually bought at Casa Lucas. Inside Casa Lucas you will see lots of fruits and also some vegetables. You also find salty chips and cheese like some in SF. This is a good place to grab those sweet juicy strawberries and mangos on those sunny days. The refrigerators are becoming quite dirty; for instance, the fridge holding the cold salsa shows clear signs of mold. Additionally, the produce quality has slipped. Just last week, I wanted to buy yuca, but the skin was moldy, which completely discouraged me from purchasing anything. I truly hope management takes the time to deeply clean the store and fridges regularly. Next visit Ill take pictures and upload them to this review.

We went back multiple times to demand a refund, but all we got were endless excuses: "The owner isn't here". The cashier was rude, unhelpful, and refused to do anything. They never gave our money back. This place sells contaminated food and takes no responsibility. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Avoid at all costs! GUSANOS EN LA CARNE! EXPERIENCIA ASQUEROSA - ¡NO COMPREN AQUÍ! Asqueroso e inaceptable. ¡Eviten este lugar a toda costa!

While Casa Lucas has limes priced at 8 for $1 currently, El Chico is a bit more costly as limes are 5 for $1 here. Besides that prices are pretty comparable. I didn't see any organic produce available yet a great variety of fresh produce is here including pomegranate, persimmons, & papaya. They even had 3 lbs of Granny Smith apples for $1.99 which is a great bargain. This is a place to stock up on produce & yet again like Casa Lucas the soy milk is super costly as is near $5 for half a gallon. The thing that most impressed me about El Chico was they have a small bulk section w/ black, pinto, & red beans all priced at an affordable .99 cents per lb. Kudos for having this staple in bulk & feel that gives El Chico an extra star to beat out Casa Lucas.
