Good time, great vibes, mid coffee. Half coffee house/half plant shop, Good Time looks like a fun place to come and hang out upon first glance. We tried their seasonal Samoa Cookie Latte and the Matcha with Strawberry Basil cold foam. The staff was all smiles, but the drinks absolutely fell flat. The Samoa wasn't sweet enough and the coffee was bland. It felt like they either used brewed coffee or like they weren't able to choose how bold or subtle they wanted their espresso when planning new drinks. The matcha wasn't the best in the world (few are), but it kind of wound up tasting like grass. It was like the basil had been dried and blitzed then added to the matcha. (Not saying they did this.) Cold foam just didn't do it for me either. It had a roasted strawberry flavor, but none of the sweetness you'd expect. Despite being cute (and the fact they were playing Twilight on TV while blaring the soundtrack) overall, the drink quality doesn't justify the price. Good Time is one of the more expensive coffee shops in the LBC for 16oz iced beverages: $6.75 for a latte TO START plus .50 for alternative milks and $1 on top of that for sweeteners. From a person who was born & raised in Lb this spot is one of my favorites. The breakfast burrito is probably my favorite in all of LB. The coffee is good as well. It's a good place to come study or do work just gets crowded sometimes but there's always seating. Everyone is really nice, friendly and welcoming! Parking is okay just like anywhere in LB read more

Meeting up for coffee at Good Time in Long Beach is always a good idea. I really love the vibe, plants, and specialty beverages. One of the fun beverages on their summer menu is Piña Colatte, made with coconut/oat milk mixture sweetened with pineapple syrup, with a floating double shot of espresso topped with a maraschino cherry. There's plenty of street parking, as well as indoor & outdoor seating. The barista Natasha was really friendly, and I'll definitely be returning for more fun coffee drinks the next time I'm in Long Beach. read more

I used to come to Good Time very often, lately I've noticed that the energy and the service is not the same. My breakfast burrito was so salty I couldn't finish it also left with an upset stomach. I asked for three shots of espresso and I promise you it didn't have it. My drink was very sweet and light in color. The music is so loud that I can't even hear the employees taking my order. Also the new staff doesn't seem as friendly as previous staff members. I'm sad that the vibes have changed because I used to love coming here. read more

Just a great place to do work, people in Long Beach are so nice and most of the time, I feel safe with Leaving my items to go to the restroom. The food is a bit expensive but if you don't mind, the food tastes pretty decent for a coffee shop. And the coworkers always do a good job getting your coffee in time. So this cafe has always been a bit of a hit or miss for me. Drinks are ok, there's a lot of seating, but I don't know what was going on when I visited this week. So the baristas are always a little rude here. Nothing super mean about them but just a nonchalance about providing great service. Barista that day who was working the register should not be front-facing with customers. She was just unpleasant and seemed peeved when I asked her to have the drink less sweet. Got the drink, really sweet but didn't bother asking them to adjust. Next, got a chorizo breakfast burrito which is usually pretty good but it just tastes pretty mediocre. Not sure what's going on! Also, the WiFi wasn't working and my sister went up to ask a different barista and she replied, not nicely.. "give me 10 minutes." I was waiting over 20 mins and still no WiFi. I stopped by and ordered a large since the regular size is on the smaller size and I LOVED this latte. Imagine my disappointment when I try it and it tastes like super watered down Abuelita* chocolate. I couldn't taste the espresso or piloncillo which supposedly also has. It was such a shame since I've had this drink before and it was so good! They offer a variety of coffee/tea/matcha with various flavored syrups, as well as breakfast food to choose from. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and an iced matcha with oat milk and a splash of lavender. My fiancé ordered the breakfast burrito and a cold brew. Everything was delicious! I also enjoyed the playlist that was playing. I realized I probably wouldn't be able to take work zoom calls in there though so I grabbed a table outside. This coffee shop is all about the Good Times... great times even. This place has a airy and open feel to it with ample seating so it doesn't feel claustrophobic when busy. We were helped by Joey, the owner himself. He was very kind and attentive with any of the questions we had as it was our first time. I got the rose chai but requested it be made dirty, and my bf got the cardamom latte. While mine was delicious with the perfect notes of sweet, spice, and floral.. the cardamom latte was so scrumptious. I found myself sneaking sips of his latte lol. Drove 30 miles just to check this place out. So so so worth it. As a cafe enthusiast, this place is probably the best I've run into in a while. Spacious and filled with incredible vibes... even at peak brunch hour, the space is big enough to feel pleasantly filled rather crowded and overwhelming like most cafes I visit nowadays. This sounds niche but the music volume level was perfect, which is something I think lots of cafes are tone deaf to in relation to nice cozy study space. Stopped by here for some coffee on the way to visit a friend and was charmed by the aesthetic interior. There were many plants and planting tools for sale in the area connected to the seating for anyone with plant babies at home. The staff was super friendly and worked quickly to both take orders and make them as well. I was happily obliged with the code to the bathroom which is located in the back hallway. Came here on a Tuesday morning to meet a friend for coffee around 11am. Their set-up is very cute, with ample seating and outlets around the entire shop. Seating is not the most comfortable as a lot of it is bench seating, but very nice that there is an abundance. On the day that I came, they were playing some rock/emo music which was pleasant but the volume was a little loud so at a certain point I had to put some earplugs on so I could do work after my friend left. I got a large iced vanilla latte which was pretty good, but not worth the $8.50 I paid for it. I wonder if a matcha would have been better from this place. I would come back if someone else suggested this coffee shop, but would not make the commute to this coffeeshop regularly. And seriously their cold brew stands apart from any other cold brew in the city... similar to Jone's Coffee's cold brew in Pasadena but maybe even better. Wowza! It is bold and really complex. Long beach has a plethora of great coffee shops and this is one of them! i came here during my break between classes and ordered a iced Lavender latte with oat milk. the oat milk was an extra $.50 cents and the total was $9.50 so more on the pricey side but the drink was really good 8.3/10. the person who took my order was so nice, and informed me that they have many food options too !
