We wanted a cute brunch spot for a girls day, and this place kept popping up on TikTok, so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food was a 10/10. We ordered the skillet (highly recommend!), pancakes, an açaí bowl, mushroom coffee, and a matcha. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We did have a small issue during our visit, but the owner, Jesse, handled it with so much kindness and professionalism. It's rare to find such genuine customer service these days, and they truly went above and beyond. Overall, we loved our experience and will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I had such a lovely sunny lunch here at Zuzu's Petals. I ordered the chicken and waffles! The chicken was tender yet crispy and lightly seasoned. This allowed the blueberry compote and cinnamon pecan butter on top of the fluffy and crisp waffle to really shine. Such a yummy balance of the sweet and savory that I was looking for! Washed it all down with their peach & basil agua fresca. Very sweet but very good- I watered it down a bit with some water to my preference and it was perfecto.

Start off by saying what a super nice staff very bright and bubbly attitude from our server Cori she knew exactly what to recommend for the best food Great flavor on the cocktails alcoholic and nonalcoholic. Really great level of music playing very upbeat but smooth jazz and old school songs. Fans are running keeping people nice and cool while enjoying their food. Food was great Very crisp tots, the chicken crispy and juicy great spice and a house made hot honey. Pancakes were dressed perfectly and fluffy not too dense great pairing with the butter they use and the berries giving it a fresh flavor. Skillet great combination of ingredients what they call it the Loaded way but it's loaded with just perfection not a single bad bite. Shout out again to Cori!!! and of course the other staff members!

Zuzu's Petals is a fantastic brunch place. Parking might be difficult since it's only street parking. There was a wait and line out the door to order. They have seating indoors and outdoors. Dutch Baby Pancake comes in a skillet topped with fruit and cream. The pancake itself wasn't dry and cut nicely. Brioche french toast came with a blueberry compote. The french toast is fluffy and goes well with maple syrup. Overall a cute brunch place with multiple tasty options. Love the kid's menu's entree names!

Was in the area for work and stopped by with my coworker. This place caught our eye because it looked cute and had patio seating. Really love when you can enjoy food and the great weather at the same time. Service was great, the girl at the register and also the servers were friendly and helpful. Food and drink are priced pretty average. A matcha is $7, food ranges from $12-21. Some dishes are pricier but in this economy it's not crazy. I got a hot matcha and a pancake with a side of scrambled eggs. Hot Matcha (3/5) good matcha quality but too sweet. Pancake w/ berries and cream (4.5/5) nice and fluffy, cream had cinnamon and not too sweet. Eggs (4/5) fluffy and soft

First time visiting and will not be the last! Whenever I am back in the Long Beach area I will come here for breakfast again. It's located on a corner with tons of parking on the streets near by. There was a line out the door, it moved quick though wait wasn't long. You line up and are handed menus, order & pay at counter. Since it was mother's Day weekend, there was tons of roses all over the tables. Their pastries are at the register which looked amazing as well. I came with two of my girlfriends and we all ordered the baileys breakfast with eggs our way. We also were craving something sweet so we ordered a waffle, brioche French toast & the Dutch baby pancake. For drinks we ordered a mimosa, cinnagave shaken espresso, a strawberry matcha, & an elderflower mint spritz. The food and drinks looked & tasted amazing! Staff was very personable and they a have self serve water station. Def one of the best breakfasts ive had in a long time Highly recommend!

Stopped by Zulu's Petals for Mother's Day, and I have to say....it was an amazing dining experience from start to finish. First, a heads-up: parking in the area can be a bit of a challenge, so plan ahead and expect to look for street parking. That said, once you arrive, everything runs impressively smoothly. You'll stand in line to place your order at the register, and then they'll seat you. There are two seating options, an indoor patio and an outdoor patio; both with a really cute, inviting vibe. What really stood out was the thoughtful Mother's Day touch. While we were in line, they offered champagne and gave out roses, white for mothers who are no longer with us and red for those who are. Such a beautiful and meaningful gesture. Once seated, drinks came out quickly, and the food followed shortly after. I was genuinely impressed with how efficient and well-organized everything was, especially given how busy it was. For food, I ordered the Dutch Baby, and my companion had the Bailey's Breakfast, both were delicious and well-prepared. Between the great food, charming decor, and amazing service, this place really delivered. I'll definitely be back.

I had heard about this place from a TikTok video, and my husband had also told me about it, so I knew we had to check it out. We decided to go last minute on a Sunday, so the line was around the building by the time we got there at around 12:30pm. We waited around 30 minutes, but it wasn't bad. I think you order at the counter and then they find you a table. However, for us and the party in front, they sat us and then just took our order at the table. My husband ordered steak & eggs and we shared lemon ricotta pancakes (because, of course, we needed something sweet). I got the Bailey's, which you can have bacon or sausage, or one of each. Everything was delicious! We finished our dishes and brought the pancake home, which we for sure would have finished if we weren't so full! We both ordered the Curious George, except mine was decaf. So good! I definitely want to try the matcha version next time. It's such a cute little restaurant and staff is super friendly. I didn't get a good look with the street signs, but we were lucky to find a spot right across from the restaurant. Absolutely enjoyed this place and would go back!

Happy May y'all! While in Long Beach, I saw this place had killer reviews so I got a few dishes to go and was so happy with my choices. FOOD -Dutch baby pancake. It was delicious and the add-on items were perfect. Highly recommend! -Veggie wrap. Also very good, the sauce was delicious. The veggies had a perfect crunch DRINK -I got their matcha latte with almond milk. it was good and exactly as I expected. PARKING There's construction happening on one road so I parked on the busy road temporarily. Leave yourself time to find parking if that side road is still unavailable. CLEANLINESS Walking into the check out area and it was clean, modern and beautifully decorated.

Loved this spot! There's a line to order first and then you are seated. Lined moved fast, super friendly staff that helped answer our menu questions, and food was delicious! The iced vanilla latte was so good too! Can't go wrong with any of the options here! We sat outside and it was nice and a good vibe.

Veggie Burrito
Vivian P.

Got the vegetable burrito to go with a side of smashed potatoes. The food was ready within 15 min. There's no specific pick up place, but i went to the front and asked a server and they were able to bring out my food right away. The smashed potatoes were okay, very garlicky but nothing special. I would go back just for the vegetable burrito though. Packed with different veggies and so flavorful. The sauce was also yummy.

Steak n' Eggs. Definitely delicious

If you haven't been, you're missing out. Great service from start to end. The food? Absolutely delicious. Wait time, worth the wait. Don't wait to try this place. Go now! I ordered the steak and eggs and I have to say, I was blown away by the flavor. This place isn't just a must try, it's a repeat and bring friends and family with you. Great vibes, this place is a new favorite to come and eat. Thank you for the hospitality and amazing experience.

Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich

So great that we went there twice in one trip!! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, the outdoor seating is cute. But best of all, the food is delicious!!! The first time I got the fried chicken sandwich and this time I got the breakfast skillet which was also superb. All of their drinks are great as well, including their flash brew iced coffee! A must stop in Long Beach

How's parking? Is there a designated parking lot or is it street parking only?

Zuzu's doesn't have its own parking, but there's plenty around the location, in the neighborhood and parking structures. I've had good luck each time I've gone.…

Are there any gluten free items available?

What is the 4% charge on all items purchased at ZuZu's? These charges are labeled as "Wellness Plan"?

I have no idea but if this charge is to cover employee health benefits I will not go back. Unfortunately I didn't notice that on my bill😩

Do they allow dogs in the outdoor seating area?

Yes

Do you have mimosas?

Yes

Are there vegan options?

They have a couple of menu items that are marked as vegan.

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / June 8, 2023

Yes they have covered and uncovered outdoor seating. I don’t know if they have heaters. The day we were there it was about 65 degrees and I didn’t see any heaters. Uncovered outdoor had about 4-5 tables equaling seats for about 15 people. Covered…

We came in on a Saturday and was unable to find street parking so as others advised, I had my friend watch the car and drive around as I made my way to the shop. The shop was so cute, it's small but with everything you'd need for a cheese and meat party including breads, canned additions/fish, and wines! I grabbed a fresh loaf of baguette to add to the order. Both trays were ready and absolutely fresh. The honorable cheesemongers overlooking shop were very nice and helpful! One female worker was providing samples for a gentleman when he asked for recommendations and my cheesemonger asked what kind of cheese texture I generally liked and offered to give me a cheese from three different animals, which I thought was absolutely awesome! She even offered to help me carry my trays out. The veggie tray was awesome, a great size, half pickled half not pickled, the dips were both amazing! We got the green goddess and Calabrian chili aioli and both were such a hit at our get together. The peppers are slightly spicy and were so delicious. We loved the variety of cheese and did not have a single cheese we didn't like. The petite toasts with the meat and cheese board is a must! So good and crispy and a perfect size for a bite. The trays were really sturdy and we appreciated the care put into the layout. We'll definitely be back Oh La Vache!

You will not regret it. The food menu has cheese boards, salads and sandwiches, and everything I've had here has been delicious. The cheese boards are better than sex. There is seating indoors and outdoors. It's minimal, but somehow we always manage to find a table. The service is consistently great and the owner is wonderful. She will be leaving soon and she will absolutely be missed, but what she has built here will definitely be cherished. The new owners fell in love with the place, so you can expect it to be well taken care of and to remain just as charming. Firstly, since it's all plant-based, I was able to eat literally anything off the menu, which is always delightful. Started the meal with a Tricolore Salad and the Pizza Montanara for appetizers. The Salad was good, best when you can get a bit of every ingredient in each bite. The Pizza Montanara was hotter than magma when we received it, but once it cooled and we were able to tear it into pieces, it was very, very good. These two items themselves would be a great light meal. We had glasses of red wine with the main course, which paired well with the pastas we chose. One Vesuvio, which was really tasty with a little chili heat (not so much so that it made eating it a rough job,) and another pasta dish that I can't recall the name of that was very lemony and cooling. We both shared these dishes and the alternating between the two very different flavor profiles was really fun. The online menu doesn't have these pastas listed in the "Dinner" section, but the in-store menu did. The only thing that was kind of a bummer was that they were out of things like meatballs, olives, and a couple other items, but we were still able to choose dishes that were delicious. The restaurant's vibe is very laidback and like, elevated casual, if that makes sense. They have great little water glasses and everything has a modern feel, from the green decor accents to the fancy pasta forks, which are the first of their kind I've ever seen. The bathroom had a bidet, which was my first experience with the same, and it was cool and fun. Thorough! I laughed at the sticker on the bidet saying it WILL spray you in the face. All in all, this was a fantastic experience. Definitely be patient with finding parking, as we all know how 4th Street is. This will likely become a favorite celebration meal destination.

Upscale Restaurant on 2nd Street with Delicious Food…read more I've visited Saint & Second on multiple occasions: for drinks, a casual lunch, and my birthday dinner. Reservations are fairly easy to get, which make it an optimal choice if I'm looking to have a nice meal. The ambiance of Saint & Second is what sets it apart from other Belmont Shore restaurants. There's indoor seating and rooftop seating upstairs, and both areas are designed impeccably. The food menu changes every few months, which is great because it allows the chefs to experiment with new menu items, but I have been left missing past items. When I returned for the third time for my favorite hummus, I found that it was discontinued for a nice, but less tasty green hummus (which leaned more into an avocado flavor than traditional hummus flavor). Overall, if you'd like to return to Saint and Second, you should expect some changes to menu items every few months and plan accordingly. One appetizer I'd recommend is the tuna on crispy rice. This is a consistent item with great flavors that trump other tuna crispy rice dishes I've had at other restaurants. The amount of fish on this item is generous. If you are celebrating your birthday here like I did, they offer a delcious smores-flavored dessert. However, this dessert is not complimentary, and we were charged without the server informing us of the dessert's price. Overall, in terms of food, this restaurant offers a fresh array of menu items. I believe the server told us that their kitchen is a scratch kitchen, which contributes to the great quality of the food.
