    Matcha with scone
    Leslie S.

I've been here three times and every time I'm blown away by their green tea selections. I've been to plenty of coffee shops that advertise their trendy matcha drinks. But Dedo doesn't need to add fillers like artificial syrups, boba, or dollops of cream to have a lasting impact on you. The quality of teas they have here is phenomenal. The hojicha is so smooth and almost chocolately. Their matcha is rich and the touch of honey I opted in for didn't cloud the herbal taste of the green tea. This is one of my fave coffee shops in the greater LA area and that says a lot. Plus the interior decorating is so stylish and cool. Green truly doesn't help calm your mood, on top of the music playing on their hifi record player. Can't recommend this place enough.

This place is so awesome! We were in the need of a pick me up and this place was close by. We saw the pictures but as we all know pictures don't do a place justice. Walking into here you knew this was a different kind of place when you see the vinyl player playing laid back music. Service was also extremely friendly and quick. When we had our first sip we were blown away with the espresso tonic quality. Perfect amount of sparkling water and coffee. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area it's everything you could ask for and more in a coffee shop.

Both of our drinks were not good at all! We got a vanilla latte and hojicha. The vanilla latte tasted like straight milk only and absolutely no coffee in it. As for the hojicha, it was not earthy and also had a horrible ratio and tasted like milk. The shop is so cute, minimalistic, and cozy. They play records and they also have an outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, the drinks are not good at all. Staff were nice.

Checked out Dedo recently and this place was a vibe! Didn't have much time to kick back but the time I did spend there was well spent! The live music and just ambience of the shop was so relaxing. The iced vanilla latte hit the spot as well. Will be stopping by next time I'm in the area forsure!

The ambiance is amazing!! Best I've ever experienced at a coffee shop. Comfy seating and great music! Service was friendly and quick. The egg tacos were delicious along with the hojicha latte! Can't wait to go back and chill! Highly recommend if you love coffee, music and great vibes!

This place was such a vibe , they had good tunes playing & it wasn't overly loud . The music was a good balance . I got a regular Vanilla Latte & chocolate croissant , super good ! The coffee could have had an extra shot but that's just my preference. The service was great , the gentleman in the front knew his stuff ! Will definitely come back ! Good place to read !

So discovered this local Long Beach coffee shop thanks to Yelp They are open limited hours and made it in time to try a chai latte. Also tried the ham sandwich that was available and though simple was flavorful. Curious about the pastries which I'll surely try on my next visit. Worth a try and a good spot to do mobile work on a computer for people in that category

Big patio, in the cut, then you step inside and it's this small, cozy and cute little coffee shop. Definitely love the vibes, although small, it has really nice design and decor, minimal so it doesn't feel cluttered or stuffy. I definitely liked the green. There's a nice Dj set that the baristas manage. They had three different matcha options. I asked the barista if she could describe the three /what the differences were but She really just told me her favorite one which wasn't the most helpful haha I ended going with the second option on the list of matchas. It was tasty. I also got a "hot crossed bun" cuz I've never had one! It was interesting, cinnamon and raisin flavors.

After having the breakfast tacos last weekend I had to come back to try the Johnny cakes! They were hearty, sweet and delicious. Beautifully plated with fresh fruit. Small breakfast/brunch menu after 8:30 on weekends but you can tell they use quality ingredients and they're made with care. Breakfast tacos are still my favorite!

Super chill vibe as soon as you enter. It felt like I was transported to pre tech days of chilling and listening to records. It's a small cafe tucked away from the street. There is outdoor seating in front and cool cozy seating inside. Space enough for studying and low level meetings. The menu is simple yet organically fits the ambiance. John helped me order the perfect tea latte with cardamom. It's was delicious and I'm heading back for more. Parking can be a challenge since it's only street parking. And they close at 2pm daily.

Coffee, Ambiance, Music, Nooks but ultimately great coffee. Love every single inch of this place has been carefully designed, coffee beans vetted, pastries locally found, jazz and records displayed and simply a spot that you wanna be here for hours and hours on end. Reasons to love the Long Beach coffee shop scene. 7:30am to 2pm and plenty of street parking. Weekdays are nicer because of the calm.

What a little gem in Long Beach! The first thing you know is when you walk in is the beautiful interior design. I think it's the small attention to details that really make this place stand out. The colors, the wood, the hi-fi record player, it all adds to an inviting and serene ambience. We really enjoyed the food and drinks that we had here. The breakfast taco tacos with the crusted cheese was bomb. The pastries were also delicious... but lowkey the tacos just stole the show. The quality of the coffee and Matcha is definitely upper tier. We talked to the staff/owners, and they explained their sourcing process for the ingredients and the quality that they were seeking had to meet their stringent guidelines. The quality shined through in the drinks. Staff here were accommodating, helpful, and just overall kind. I like supporting kind people's businesses, especially when their product is just as great as the people serving them. P.s. the sound system is amazing

I enjoyed the look the place had from outside. The moment I walked in it felt cozy and relaxing. I was greeted right away and the person behind the counter was friendly. I love that the parking was free and plenty available. Lots of sitting space and they have WiFi! They mentioned that food would be added on the menu on weekend for brunch. I can't wait to go back!

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. It's about how management handled it. We made a reservation three days in advance to watch the Mexico World Cup match. We arrived 10 min early to our reservation in anticipation of the crowds. We received confirmation by both email and text, but when we arrived, we were told there was no reservation and "nothing they could do." Despite showing proof of our confirmed reservation, they refused to honor it and told us there were no tables available. Seconds later, another group walked up and asked to join the waitlist, and he gladly added them. I then asked why we couldn't be added--considering we had a confirmed reservation--and only then did he put us on the list. When a restaurant makes a mistake, the bare minimum is trying to make it right. We should have been given priority on the waitlist. Instead, after nearly two hours of waiting, we were still ninth in line even though the wait time for our table size showed 0 minutes. We left without ever being seated. Thankfully before the match began, we walked over to Broken Spirits (5 min walk away) where they seated us within 15 minutes and even gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate the game. The difference in hospitality was incredible. This wasn't my first disappointing experience here, either. On a previous visit, I waited outside to be seated for so long that I eventually gave up and seated myself at the bar. To make matters worse, the food and drinks don't justify the price. Cocktails are around $20, filled with ice, and underwhelming. As a customer, I left Ordinarie feeling dismissed and disrespected. Between the poor service, overpriced menu, and management's complete lack of accountability, I won't be returning. If you're in the DTLB area, I would recommend better drinks/better service at Broken Spirits or Midnight Oil :)

The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.
