We came on a Friday evening with a party of 5. We got seated right away but waited forever to get our order taken. The food took exceptionally long to arrive to the table and when it did, one of the meals was missing. They said it didn't make it into the system. The server offered a soup or salad while we waited for the last meal. Once it finally came, everyone else's food was cold since we waited so long. No refills on our sodas, expect one when my husband had to ask someone for a refill. When the bill came they still charged us for the $29 pasta that was made 20 mins after everyone else's food and when I asked her to take it off she said no because the free soup was already a free meal! but a manager approved it getting taken off. Usually we always enjoy our time here and the food is usually great but this time was awful! What a waste of $120. read more

Morongo! Free parking in the acres-big parking lot, an elevator ride, and there you are. This is their giant first floor restaurant, one end facing the casino floor and the other, Morongo's pool. There always seems to be a bit of a wait, but no waiting at the huge horseshoe bar where all food is served. Why wait? It's the best service of all with your friendly server right there. What's not on the menu? My gambling buddy and I ran the gamut from chicken wings to burgers to pancakes. No complaints about any dish. Reasonable prices for a hotel restaurant too. When you've lost every dime to the slots, every bit helps. If you are not already a member, join the free Morongo players' club. I understand on a Friday night they were busy, but not getting our sodas/water until after the food came out is a little too long. Craving a burger. Good Times Cafe was it. We were here with friends and the variety was vast so everyone could order just about anything they wanted. I think we all ended up with burgers LOL! I had the burger with a slice of brisket. This was a filling burger. I could have had more of that brisket though. That slice of brisket outshined the burger, but the burger patty was good too. It had some bbq sauce and onion strings. This was a fork and knife situation. This was enjoyed with a side salad that kept the meal refreshing. The service was great. Staff helped each other left and right. Teamwork was a big plus! We sat upfront on high tops, but if you sit towards the back you'll have views of the pool area (best on a nice sunny day). read more

Had a company lunch here and the diverse menu left my indecisive self staring blankly at a wall. I literally left a donut shop once because the options were too many. To be fair, this spot did not have a literal booklet of options, looking at you Cheesecake Factory... the items were just pretty diverse so it was hard to narrow down what their specialties were. Asked a server for help - wish I remembered her name, she was lovely... we came on May 16th, large group of about 14 people at around 1pm, hopefully that narrows it down a bit - and she helped me land on a fried shrimp platter with some fries and various dipping sauces. She was kind and patient so I really appreciated her suggestions. Food was hot, fresh, crisp and honestly surprisingly good. I'm not a huge shrimp fan (why I landed on shrimp is beyond me) but it was delicious. Tasted good quality, cooked well so it was not rubbery and was pretty yummy. Huge portion as well, had two coworkers split the rest as I was absolutely stuffed. Interior was casual, comfortable. I didn't pay too much attention if there was booth options or just open tables, but either way it was pretty spacious, bathrooms were easy to find, and the place itself was easy to navigate through. Sounds weird, but some places are super cramped and somewhat confusing. Place was chill. Service was good, food was good, price can't comment - was a paid company lunch, and location was convenient, right inside the Morongo casino. This place is actually really good! Initially thinking it would be more like a Denny's, we set our expectations fairly low, and were pleasantly surprised by not only the taste of the food, but the presentation and the service, which were both a few steps up from your typical diner type restaurant. We have frequented this nice restaurant for a number of years, it's always consistantly good! Service is always excellent and thoughtful. Food has never disappointed, not a big meat eater, but for the protein, I will splurge on a petite Filet, they have the best quality and always cooked as ordered, I usually ask to hold the Demi glacé, but when I forget it is pretty good, the baby carrots, real baby carrots, and asparagus are very good and their mashed potatoes seem fresh made. It's a large area with a large oval bar in the entry way with seating around it, plenty of big screens showing sporting events. The have high top tables and regular half booths and tables, there is a patio in view of the pool, we have never sat there, looks nice. They have a great eye for friendly efficient personnel, managers, food servers and bussers are all a pleasure to interact with! They have an all day breakfast menu, Steak and Eggs are excellent but once in a while a bit too much grizzle on the top sirloin, not always, just this most recent visit over the weekend. The fish tacos are good, as are their Hamburgers, Chicken sandwich is also good, really every thing is good. We've been here many times. Many times with comps so we'll order the more expensive stuff lol This time we didn't. It was my first time ordering the chilaquiles and it was actually the best chilaquiles I've had so far. The others I've had either green or red sauce were usually overly sour. Definitely recommend. We also got the skillet and the ham and cheese omelet. Both dishes were good. I was craving juice so we ordered a round of OJ. Bad idea. They charged $5 per OJ and came in a cup half the size of the water cup. What a rip off. Stay away from the OJ. Otherwise the food here is usually pretty good. We've also tried the prime rib and steak and eggs. Both were good. The restaurant is inside the casino so you get a view of the pool or the slot machines. Service is very slow. This time around our food took forever to come out. I was a bit pissed off cause the food arrived at our neighboring tables before us when we arrived and ordered way before them. A little bit pricey for lunch, but we did enjoy everything., on another note we ordered room service for dinner. I didn't take any photos, but that was a highlight of the trip. It's a casual sit down restaurant inside the Morongo casino with a nice pit stop vibe. The service was good and you never got that "where's the waitress?" feeling. Few Items we tried: Farmhouse Pork Belly and Eggs - -really good but the pork belly cut is so thick that even with a knife, it's hard to slice. Carnitas omelet - generous and flavorful. Menu said three eggs but it seemed like six eggs were used to contain the hefty shredded pork. It's topped with fresh avocado, different kinds of cheese, salsa and tomatoes. It comes with hash browns or home style potatoes and toast. Needless to say, I wasn't able to finish it. It can serve 2 people easily. Try it when you're very hungry. Three Fish Tacos - beer battered Cod comes with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, chipotle sauce, chips and salsa. A winner! Pork Belly sandwich- filling and flavorful. In our trip to Cabazon and the outlets, we got hungry and were looking for a spot to eat. There's not much to eat around here, but, we stumbled upon this spot located inside of Morongo. They had a hour long wait upon arrival (4pm on a Sunday) so they seem to be always busy. We put our names on the list, but ended up securing a spot at the bar. I wouldn't even have guessed that there was a wait because the place wasn't that busy. Upon being seated, it did take a bit to get service. When we did, we placed our order right away. We ordered the Southwest Chicken Chopped and the BBQ Brisket Knife & Fork Burger to share. In between ordering & waiting for our meal, our server didn't check on us once. When our meal came, we asked for ranch for the fries. The gentlman who brought the ranch mistakenly brought us horseradish. Due to the slow service, we didn't bother saying anything after. Despite the service, the food was really really good. The salad was among the best salads I've had. I need the recipe so I can make at home. The chicken on the salad was just amazing and the salad was rich in flavor. The burger was also huge and delicious! Brisket was great. Fries were thick cut and crispy. Overall, food is 5 stars. I unfortunately removed a star due to service needing improvement. I'm not sure if that is staff's fault though, because they seemed understaffed. Management should hire more people to serve, many at the bar were clearly sitting unamused waiting for service. read more

Once seated, drinks didn't come for another 10 minutes after requesting. Alcohol took another 10 minutes, added to the original. Food had taken another 30 minutes, added onto the original time. We had literally waited over an hour for anything real to transpire from this place. I can only imagine the guests prior. Once food arrived, it was no big whoop. I've had better. Asked for my check, and didn't give a tip. The waiter was slow and incompetent. Didn't even ask for refills at any point. Speaking of waiters, there was only one waiting on all tables, while there were other staff working and doing absolutely nothing. On top of all of that, the casino was pretty garbage. Our group of nine celebrated birthdays at the 'Good Times Cafe' on Friday the 7th of August and had a spectacular time. First of all, the food was great. Everything was cooked perfectly. The deserts were the best. The Chocolate Cake and Cornbread was incredible. A special shout out to our server OZZIE. He was on top of things all thru our meal. He was extremely polite, efficient and an all around fun guy. He made our family event extra special. We even had the manager, who at the moment I can't recall her name, know how great Ozzie was. We definitely recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be returning. When you go there, request Ozzie. He is simply amazing. Please make sure that he gets the praise he deserves. In town for a wedding and the wedding party is staying at The Morongo. This is one of their flagship restaurants. Cool, large open space, with lots of TV's and music playing throughout. Nice bar in the center. Service was quick and friendly. Food came out very fast. I had the breakfast sandwich with Canadian bacon. It was good but I should have chosen the traditional bacon (preference). They could really spice this dish up with a little sauce or flavored mayo. But the portion was big. Hash browns were standard. After a long grind at the table games.., I pulled a $50 comp around 2:30 am. Ordered prime rib and salmon plate to take back home. Next morning that prime rib hit different for breakfast. Good times ahead at Good times cafe? Let's find out! My friends and I met up here for light snacks and some drinks. It's a cafe located towards the end of Morongo. I like that it is close enough to the action near the slot machines but also far enough that you can steer away and catch up with friends over a nice cocktail. We checked in and took our seats at the bar due to the restaurant at full capacity. As we walked towards are seats, you will immediately notice that it is very racing and biker themed, very cool actually! Menu - They have quite an extensive menu - from classics to burgers to soups to salads to a T bone steak to cocktails to draft beers. I wasn't very hungry so I got myself a clam chowder, garlic breadsticks, and an 805. Perhaps the bartender didn't hear me the first time but she forgot to put in my soup so I waited quite long for my clam chowder. However, when it came out, it was fresh and delicious!
