You ever end up somewhere longer than you expect to be... You have less money than you started with and now... You're hungry. It's the worst feeling so when you decide to eat out instead of waiting until home, it becomes a big deal. The food matters more, suddenly prices seem higher and people's tones trigger into your mind easier. Choosing where to eat matters heavily. Morongo in general has amazing food options and some amazing staff, but when I was there, I chose to go eat at LA Italian in their food court. Remember I'm broke and forced to eat here. Justin was working at the register when I walked up and he greated me as soon as I walked up, which was refreshing. We made small talk and passed a few jokes before I ordered. Oh, those bread sticks are so good! I love Italian food and the quality vs price here was great. I was highly satisfied and when I was leaving, Justin noticed and check in to see how my meal was. I felt forced to eat there and my only option was the food court... LA Italian did not disappoint! Justin made me feel I chose an actual sit down restaurant and I left wanting more. I should have read my last review, because during my visit last Sunday afternoon, I had the exact same experience. Only I'm adding another complaint. The pizza (again) wasn't reheated long enough in the oven to melt the cheese. It was like eating a warmed cold pizza, and it made you wonder how long that pizza had been sitting out. But then I find out they only have Pepsi Zero and no longer have Diet Pepsi! I already prefer Coke over Pepsi, so right there, I was bummed out. I ended up getting a Diet Pepsi from Fatburger next door. I hate to say it, but if you want a small pizza, go to the Morongo Travel Center. They also have a large variety of drinks, and all for about 1/2 the price. On a positive note, the employee working was super nice. Just keep that slice in the oven for a couple of minutes longer. read more

I've been to restaurants where I've followed yelp reviews that were highly rated, and have been beyond disappointed. Luckily I did not read the yelp ratings on this restaurant before trying it because had I done so I probably would've have ate there. I'm glad we tried it because it was not only delicious but the customer service was great. We ordered the baked Ziti, potatoes, pasta, salad, and breadsticks- EVERYTHING was delicious. Even the filtered water was good. And it was topped off by having amazing customer service, the gentleman taking our order was very friendly and patiently waited as we decided what we were going to order. I need to give a zero review. My mother knows some English. I don't know the lady with red hair is the manager or not. Offer my mother to get the slice of pizza and side for 10.99. The total was 11.84. My mother gave the cashier $10 bill, $5 dollar bill and 84 cent. My mother was waiting for the change $4 and the guy wasn't aware or didn't know. He insisted that she gave him the exact change. My mother told the manager to check back on camera and the manager told my mom "I don't have time for that". The cashier didn't gave my mother the receipt. I'm going to share this experience to my friends and family to stay away from this restaurant. The pizza wasn't cook fully. read more

This eatery is inside Morongo Casino food court. I checked out most other eateries, Good Time Cafe, the other restaurants, and I felt this had the best value for a lunch. It is not run by Morongo. They do not have the 10% off slot card discount. I settled for the Ziti and 2 meatballs, one side and a breadstick for $15.99. Piecing out the meal, the Ziti comes in a 24 ounce foodservice container that was almost filled to the top. The meatballs were on top. The meatballs were the size that Pechanga food court has for $3 each al a carte. Breadstick was wider than Olive Garden size and had an herb-like seasoning that was good. The side green salad I chose was in about an 8 ounce foodservice container. Salad was fresh, crisp, and good Choice of 3 dressings in a cup, Italian, Ranch, Caesar. For me, I was happy with the service, food quality, and food court seating. I was there at about 11:15am on St. Patrick's Day. It seems the best value is with the meals as opposed to the pizza slices. I was satisfied, relative to the other choices in Morongo eateries. read more

Out of stromboli, out of ziti out of breadsticks. They don't sell calzones but it's on the menu behind them. Stuffed slices look dry and old, so I say I'll pay for the ziti and wait the 10 min for ziti and they said I have to get out of line and pay for it when it's ready and get back in while when the line is like 10 ppl long. Just ate here....but noticed the guy on the left (in the dark shirt)....he just finished collecting money from a customer, didn't see him wash his hands, went to the oven to pull out a tray of meatballs, and without any gloves....used his bare hands to put them into a container ....and placed them into the steamer tray in ordering area (with the marinara sauce) ! I would advise not ordering any spaghetti & meatballs for $10.29 + tax. One had Meatballs and Pepperoni and the other was Hawaiian (ham and pineapple). When you Check-In, you'll get 10% off on your purchase. I wasn't really expecting much from this place. After all, we are in a casino food court. We were both hungry and wanted our stomachs to stop growling. I was actually impressed by the pizza which was nice and hot. The crust had a nice texture... it was crispy and had a nice chew. The meatball they put on the pizza was really flavorful (not bland at all) and the sauce was decent. Amazing pizza. Every time I walk by this place, the pizza looks fresh and appetizing. Located in the food court inside Morongo Casino, this is an excellent choice for lunchtime. This place used to be adequate but it is obviously wildly expensive considering it's in Morongo casino. For a crazy ass $11 for one slice of stuffed pizza and a water this place used to be pretty good but it has seriously gone downhill. The last two times I've gone they've cut their portion sizes buy at least 30% and there's virtually nothing on the inside of the pizza. What I received was an overpriced triangular breadstick. This place is horrible now and the service rivals the food. Everyone I go to the casino with says the same thing and they all go to the adjacent places to eat now too. read more

My sister and I just came to Morongo and wanted to stop and eat before we started playing some games. The two guys that were working were super nice to us and we decided after we ate that we wanted to tip them $20. Right as we got up one of them said "what you're not going to tip us?" And he giggled we also laughed because were around the same age and didn't think anything of it. Until we told them we also work in food service and we work for tips as well. They kept talking to us and we still gave them $20 in cash. The guy took it and put it in his pocket instead of the tip jar. We told them to share at least and his only response was "where's his 20?" Insinuating we didn't tip them enough... it was rude and disrespectful. Solid pizza. I would have to say it was pretty good. I only had a slice of pepperoni and jalapeno and it cost be $6.15 for a very average sized slice. If it wasn't so expensive, I would have given them 4 stars, but for $6 I would expect something amazing from a slice of pizza. read more

I was gambling at Morongo when I got really hungry and decided to get a pepperoni slice at LA Italian Kitchen. The pizza was okay, but EXTREMELY greasy. I dabbed it with my napkin and it was drenched. I also purchased their garlic bread which was not the worst I've ever had, but not the greatest either. It had too much garlic spread and a bit on the salty side. It's one of the better "fast food" choices in the food court, but next time I'll most likely eat at the casino buffet. read more

These guys are clowns. They wouldn't even deliver less than a mile away to the bowling alley. After an employee told me they deliver the manager got on the horn and said to come to the counter or forget it. I would just like to say that I witnessed something tonight by a individual which I belief was the store manager . I was in line to pay for my food which was a pepperoni Calzone in front of me was a individual who was not satisfied with the individual that had helped him . He had forgotten his pizza in oven as the patron started to become upset, The manager who was working up front along side his coworker stepped into take care of the issue and what I witnessed was a calm individual who did everything in his power to make the patron happy . But to no avail I have to say that I very sorry for the individuals that have to handle patrons like this especially in front of a food court with all eyes on them .
