My wife and I were looking for a great breakfast, and from the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality by our host, Christian. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the restaurant. As we talked, he shared that Lindo's is a family-owned establishment where everyone works together to make the business successful. You can truly see the pride they take in what they do, it's like watching a well-oiled machine. The menu made it difficult to decide because everything looked so good, but we eventually settled on our favorites. My wife ordered the chilaquiles with over-easy eggs and a regular coffee with creamer. I went with a medium-rare steak, extra crispy hash browns, a side of bacon, sourdough toast, and a Mexican Coke. Every item was cooked exactly as requested, served fresh, and arrived quickly. The presentation showed care, and you could tell the kitchen pays attention to every plate that leaves the window. Before placing my order, I asked Christian if I could sample the menudo. I've had menudo all over California, and I'm pretty particular about it. Without hesitation, he brought me a small bowl. It was everything I look for--clean broth, piping hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. It even had a nice spicy kick that I absolutely loved. It was so good that I promised Christian and his tía, who prepares it fresh every day and serves it seven days a week, that I'd come back the next morning to buy some. A promise made is a promise kept. The very next day, I returned and picked up a few cups of the menudo to enjoy back at my hotel, which was only about a half-mile away. If you check out my photos, you'll even see me enjoying it in my room. It was just as incredible the second time around. Experiences like this are exactly why I love supporting small, family-owned businesses. Great food is one thing, but genuine hospitality and people who truly care about their customers make all the difference. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food, I highly recommend Lindo's Diner. We almost couldn't find the place from its humble exterior - perhaps we were too hangry to notice the sign, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a newly remodeled, comfortable interior ! The service was a bit on the slow side, but don't hold that against them: it was brunch time on a Saturday. The servers were so friendly. And, oh, my, god, the food!! As we looked at the menu I was rather shocked : all of the classic omelets, Benedicts, huevos rancheros, etc, were on, but ALSO some real oddities ! Omelet enchilada - an enchilada wrapped in an omelet topped with an enchilada !? I almost ordered it out of curiosity - until I saw the chile rilleno omelet! It did not disappoint. In fact, it surpassed all expectations ! Somehow, they managed to cook a rilleno inside a nicely browned omelet with soft egg on the inside. Topped with melted cheese and salsa verde. Ooey gooey heaven. Oh, and made to order hash browns served with tortillas and salsa roja for wrapping everything up into a delicious breakfast burrito if desired. Hot sauce not required. All salsa is homemade with great texture, rich flavor, and perfectly spicy. My husband ordered the chilaquiles rancheros - and he ate them so quickly, I didn't get a taste! I came here for the first time with a friend and ordered a double cheese burger and she had the Cali burger with onion rings. Burgers were juicy and cooked all the way through perfectly. Meet with the owner of the business he was really nice and friendly . Everything was good tasting that we ate and onion rings came out perfect with seasoning & homemade ranch. First timer! Glad Banning has a restaurant like this, I really enjoyed how clean, inviting the energy and space was. The open concept makes it feel inviting and you can tell the owners keep it very clean, love the added greenery at the entrance. Food was absolutely delicious! The stuffed French toast was amazing,not too sweet with the cream cheese filling and it paired well with the fresh fruit. The chile verde burritos gives Consuelo's a run for their money! This review is for partly Doordash as well. I submitted an order through doordash for some lunch. It was scheduled for less than an hour to arrive from my order time. About 15 min after I submitted my order, I received a phone call from someone at Doordash asking if I had received my food or not. I stated no. He then said that Lindo's mistakenly gave my order to another Doordash driver and that my food was not there. He said he would speak with them and get it handled. Then suddenly my Doordash driver changed. The new one messaged me via Doordash app and stated the same thing, that someone else had taken my order and that he was talking with the restaurant to get it figured out. At the end of everything, Lindo's refused to correct it. They said they would not remake my order and told the Doordash driver to cancel my order. I have never been to Lindo's diner prior to this, so this was my first experience with them. To me, they should be making sure that when a Doordash driver comes to pick up an order, that they are handing them the correct order in the first place. Refusing to remake my order to make it right for me is terrible customer service, as none of this was my fault. This all took over an hour for it to be figured out also. Then to top it off, it wasn't like I could re order from them after my order was cancelled because they were closed by then. I'm disappointed because I had been wanting to try Lindo's for some time now, as I've seen great reviews and heard great things about the. The sauces tasted like the canned enchilada sauce you get from staters which is very unfortunate. There was nothing authentic about this place. My husband got the enchilada omelette and they both basically tasted the same. The cinnamon roll was okay, just very sweet. The service was fine, nothing spectacular. The chile verde was not too spicy, just right to enjoy the excellent flavors. Their coffee has a nice flavor. I tasted the stuffed French toast and it is excellent. Maybe brioche thick sliced. It's the kind of "joint" we always hope to find on our road trips: honest, very clean, friendly, and with a solid handle on putting out great food. There's nothing snazzy on the menu, but you will find solid and creative takes on classic American and Mexican favorites, all prepared from scratch, fresh to order, and it's all done with great care for the flavors and the quality of the meal. The dining room, and what we could see of the kitchen, were immaculate, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. In one word, disappointing. My coffee was served cold, she took forever to come back and refill it. Once you taste the food it's obvious it comes from a can. Also how is it possible for the fresh baked cinnamon rolls to come out hard? The only reason I'm not giving this place one star is because the food wasn't straight up disgusting but it is not Mexican. It is not fresh and not worth what I paid for. One of life's biggest mysteries is how this place has four stars on Yelp. And if you want to talk ambiance, the booth we sat at was clean but the windows and the door were nasty.
