Never have wrote a review, but after showing some homies the cut, they said maybe it would be a good idea Got my girls hair cut here, her first time getting a undercut and I saw they had some images of dope undercuts for girls on yelp, so I figured why not. My mistake. After asking for a relatively easy cut, I'm watching from a far sitting there at the shop thinking, hey this is goin well. Happy I chose this place. Her first haircut is gonna be great! Well, after the haircut is done my girl is dead silent. I'm thinking to myself, damn she likes it! But then again I know her, I'm seeing her start to sweat and her eyes well up and I'm like oh shit. Now I can't not pay the guy for the horrible job he did so I kinda have to, but as soon as we walk out I check it out and realize what has been done. Now I'm not sure how what was asked for was misconstrued, but damn son. Pictures do not lie... I'm not being petty bout it neither, it's just well.... look at it???? So being an undercut veteran I take it into my own hands and take my girl to Floyd's 99 down the street to hopefully remedy the disaster. They were taken a back but a dope barber lady took that disaster and made it so much better until she grew it out. And we're thankful for that! I came across Goodbarbers one Monday night when I was desperately needing a cut and all the other shops were either closed for the day or closing early. It was one of my few days off and I needed to look sharp for some upcoming events, but time was running out; 7pm was approaching. Despite the time I arrived (6:30pm) and the fact that he had a 6:45pm trim appointment, Roman fit me in last minute at the end of his shift. At a great price, I got my hair reshaped back into a pomp, but a better one than I normally get. Apparently trims (since a full on haircut isn't needed as much as the sides need to be adjusted) are quite a bit less than cuts too, so keeping it looking sharp won't be an expensive chore. This place was unassuming. I walked in and was able to get a chair right away. I am sure that isn't always the case, but I was welcomed in and didn't have to wait at all. My barber was able to figure out what I wanted quickly, and she was able to give me exactly what I wanted. She checked in on the haircut throughout, which a lot of barbers I've had didn't do. I got a really great haircut, and the price wasn't bad, especially compared to some of the other places around. There was a good mix of different hair types and styles being worked on, which shows that they have skills, and aren't just giving everybody the same haircut. I just moved to DTLA and was looking for a great barber. I have a simple cut but you will be surprised at how many barbers fail to achieve the cut I am looking for. I googled barber shops in my area and this shop came up immediately with fantastic reviews, I checked out some of the photos and decided to call to make am appointment. The shop is extremely busy and the phone either just rings or goes straight to voicemail. I suggest just showing up and make an appointment that same day, which is exactly what I did yesterday. The shop is conveniently located on 6th Street. When I walked in the barber was extremely helpful and friendly I had about a 3 hour wait so I decided to come back, it was definitely worth the wait he was professional, fast, friendly and knew exactly what to do when I described my desired cut. The shop has interesting art work, an intimate vibe and enough seating while you wait. I would highly recommend this shop and will start to use this barber on a weekly basis. read more

I agreed to wait and even let the guy who came after me go before me. I used to go here pretty regularly a year ago. The cuts are pretty good, but not the place to go if you're in a hurry. They close pretty often during regular hours so I've done quite a few walk-bys in the middle of the day and found it locked up for no reason. They rarely answer the phone so you sort of have to walk by in person to see if they're open or not. They don't usually take appointments... unless they do... for someone else. In which case, you'll be waiting for the next opening and then someone else will walk in and add another 20 minutes to your wait. This has happened 2 different times to me. I was in LA for work and had been notified that my flight back to SFO had been delayed. Since I was already downtown and had some time to kill, I decided to look for a barber. Goodbarbers seemed like a logical choice since it had great reviews, was open on a Sunday, and was close. Mr. Harrington cut my hair and I have to say that it was one of the best experiences I've had. His attention to detail was amazing, it was never rushed, and the conversation was honest, funny, and real (turns out he grew up two blocks from where I live in Oakland - small world!). It was pretty awesome to find a new reliable barbershop after relocating from NYC. Especially being that I grew up in a barbershop, it's nice to find a comfortable place to go when needed. Definitely recommend this shop. I've gotten a cut from Joseline and Larry, so I can personally vouch for them, but the other barbers seem really dope too. It's super convenient to anyone in DTLA, but lots of public transportation in the area, so anyone should be able to get to Good Barbers with no qualms. read more

I went to GoodBarber this morning 15 minutes before they actually opened which is 9am. But the Barber (Nico)was already there cutting someones hair. I walked inside and he said to me very abruptly "Next appointment I have open is at 10am." Wow, first of all what ever happen ed to Goodmorning and good customer service. And I didn't know I had to make an appointment. I been there once before 4 months ago and I just walked in and a different barber had no problem seeing me. Nico gave me his number to text him fir 10am. Even though he told me face to face 10am. So I come back at 9:35am to sit and wait. Then Nico says "Ahhh now your appointment is 11am! You didn't text me!" I said "But I did" He like "Like that was 20 minutes ago!" Now let me state again he told me face told me face to face he'll cut my hair at 10am. So why did I have to text him? Please don't waste your time coming here.. My husband had an apt with Larry tonight at 7pm. Mind you we live in Glendale and had to sit in traffic to get to downtown. So, my husband gets to the shop at 6:45 waiting patiently for his apt with other clients. 7pm comes and my husband starts to get up to get to the chair and Larry tells my husband that "ahh my bad, I double booked for 7pm" as another dude starts walking towards his chair. Then had the audacity to tell my husband you can leave now and I'll get you "FREE" next week or something! WTF kind of customer service is that? And business are you running?!? My husband was there at 6:45 and the other customer was also there but Larry waited until the last minute to say something. Then Larry asked other barber if he can cut him and says "nah, I can't right now"- but he had no one in his chair.. Seriously?!? It's all good though I guess they didn't want my husband money! But please if you have an apt make sure they really have you down for that day and that time before you waste your time coming down here and have them tell you they are "double booked". read more

I looked on Yelp, GoodBarbers had good reviews decided to check them out right as I got there was impressed by the shop right away then seemed legit, even though I showed minutes before they closed they still took my service. Gonzo was my barber did a nice job in the taper. Was happy with the taper, nice and clean real professional like real barbers.
