A great spot if you are wanting Mexican food. Great atmosphere for an evening meal with family or friends. I was visiting my friend and she suggested Goode Co. and what a great choice. I had the watermelon margarita and my friend had the frozen strawberry margarita. Aria was our bartender and she was absolutely amazing! We shared chis and salsa and guacamole. My friend had the nachos and a beef fajitas taco. I had the chicken enchiladas. Everything was delicious! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Will be back!!!

I won't tell a lie, this restaurant has never been on my must visit list but im glad I did. I came for a bday celebration and it was nice. It was free garage parking. Nice ambiance. Andre was our server and he was AMAZING. Any thing we asked for we received. That prickly pear margarita and the empanadas were top of the list for me! The homemade tortillas were great too! I got the fajitas and they were pretty good. The pricing is reasonable. I would definitely come back here when in the area!

Walking into Goode Company, right away you feel that it is going to be a great experience. I went twice this week, first with my parents, then with my colleagues. The vibes are very upscale, but also cozy. The bathrooms were very nice. All the waitstaff have a very soft spoken professionalism to them. Biggest win in my book at a place like this is great salsa served warm. I just need them to keep that bowl full!! I am perfectly happy with that salsa and a pitcher of their frozen house marg to share. The fajitas were amazing. Cooked medium, very tender & juicy. The onions were actually caramelized. Usually I ask places to burn the onion because they're usually undercooked. I forgot this time and was pleasantly surprised they caramelized them. The flour tortillas were great. The accoutrements supported everything. I could have done without the street corn, it felt more like a cream corn than what I was looking for, but maybe I misunderstood. Overall, My parents said their place beat El Tiempo Cantina! The second time I went, I introduced my colleagues to this place. The margs and salsa were consistently good. This time I got the beef quesadillas. They were a little underwhelming for me. I probably would have like a thicker tortilla to retain more crispiness. I'll probably stick to the fajitas or trying something else. Overall I really like this place and will be bringing everyone here.

Went to Goode Co. Cantina for my birthday dinner with my family, and it was such a great experience! We ordered the Parrillada Familiar, which was plenty of food for the six of us. It came with a variety of meats -- 1 lb of fajitas (your choice of beef, chicken, or combo), a jalapeño cheese smoked sausage, two Texas quail, four jumbo Gulf shrimp, and 1/2 lb of pork carnitas. Definitely an interesting assortment! Not everything was my personal favorite, and in hindsight I think I would have just gone with the classic beef fajitas, but it was fun to try so many different flavors in one meal. The chips and salsa to start were perfect -- the salsa had amazing flavor and the chips were light and crispy, just how I like them. The interior has such a great aesthetic and a fun, elevated vibe. The service matched the atmosphere perfectly -- friendly, attentive, and made the whole evening feel special. We wrapped up with churros for dessert, and they were the perfect sweet finish to the night -- warm, crisp, and delicious. Goode Co. Cantina is definitely more upscale and unique compared to your typical Tex-Mex chain, which made it the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday. I'd happily come back, especially for those fajitas, chips, and churros

Howdy ya'lll! This restaurant has been on my radar for awhile... finally made it here on a hot Saturday evening around 7ish pm. Ample parking, many options. Vibrant, walkable area- many other restaurants and little shops to peruse. This place is relatively new and feels that way. Modern, open airy vibe. Would be a great place to unwind after work for a happy hour type mood as well. Seated in the patio- complimentary nachos and salsa were warm-crunchy-savory-5/5 Ordered a frozen mixto marg- 5/5 Kids are picky crew who enjoyed their chicken taco soo much that they ordered a second one.... Not common considering they are picky and usually eat like birds. 5/5 I ordered the comida deluxe which is kind of a sampler of steak fajita , tamale and a chicken enchilada- Variety on this dish was great-the food was on point- tasted fresh- hit the spot kinda thing-4/5. Steak fajita met expectations and the tamale was a highlight. The 1836 salad w chicken was also fresh, crunchy, and delicious. 5/5. And at some point was feeling like i was just shoveling food into myself. I became numb from eating- bordering on a food contentment and acquired Pickwickian syndrome. Our Service was quick and prompt. Felt like they respected their patrons and the overall meal was delivered with proficiency.5/5 Overall- this is a great place to take the family. Kids enjoyed it, everyone left happy, coming back soon!

    Cheese enchiladas!

First time ever to visit this new establishment! I was excited to try it since I knew their taqueria has been excellent for decades. After checking 4 times by calling and asking repeatedly (yeah, I'm one of those people), I was able to confirm the cheese enchilada sauce does NOT contain any meat product! Yay for me! I haven't given up cheese yet, so yeah that's on me. Anyway, the beans and rice do contain animal products, so they subbed them for a yummy side salad that even had fresh fruit, pepitas and all sorts of yummy veggies. It was so yummy! My friend enjoyed his shrimp dish as well although I didn't get a photo. I think they were tostadas? I'm a big fan of all Goode establishments so I had no doubt this would work out for us on a first time visit. My friend is from Mexico and mentioned there is a museum in Quaterero (sp?) all about calendars. This location has multiple vintage calendars donning the walls and made for a great discovery and conversation about the decor of the restaurant! Oh and the salsa....on point and yummmmm!

This restaurant is just MEH. Living in Houston, you can find so many better options that are more authentic and flavorful when it comes to Mexican food. I ordered a margarita in the larger glass. It was tasty and my favorite part of the whole experience I got it with tajin on the rim. I will say it does take you a while to drink as it is pretty frozen so I would get it on the rocks if you're looking for something that's not going to take you forever to drink. For my entrée, I ordered the combo fajitas they came with all the fixings, but only offered a pinch of cheese so I had to ask them to bring out additional cheese. It came with a side of refried beans and rice. I was not a fan of the rice thought. For dessert we ordered sopapillas which were overcooked. We did let our waiter know and they offered to remake or give us something else but we were already getting up to leave at that point. Service was OK nothing to write home about. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you truly want to enjoy your meal and experience.

Nice vibes, very good decor. I informed the waitress of my gluten allergy and they were very accommodating, letting me know what was safe to eat and what wasnt. The chicken fajitas were a little bland of course, but I'll chalk that up to the og sauce being omitted because it contains gluten. This place is on the pricey side unfortunately, and I assume it's because it's a scratch kitchen restaurant with locally sourced ingredients. Wasn't a fan of the charra beans or warm salsa. The waitress also took a little while to bring our order, food, drinks, and check even though the restaurant was not very crowded.

Right when you walked you can smell the flavor. The classic cheese enchiladas were so good . My bf got his enchiladas with charros beans were good just needs a little more flavor and a side of elote. We had a watermelon frozen and on the ice margaritas.

Arrived on Sunday evening around 7:30. Was sat immediately. Not my first time here so I knew the menu, my friends did not. So they needed time to see what drinks they wanted because they like cocktails and the menu is not small and they had to choose which ones they wanted because the options are good. When they decided, the cocktails straggled out. Two came out but the other two did not, They just sat at the bar as my friends sat with there with their drinks in front of them waiting on ours so we can toast to a wonderful day with a new member of the group. You would have thought the other staff would step in or at least the bartender would see that the waiter was in the weeds and needed help. That's when I knew we should have not come. The food was all lukw warm. The appetizer of queso was like warm with chunks of cheese floating around and some of the chips were fresh and others stale. A mixed bag you can say. My Flautas where luke warm, so was the side of beans and rice. My friends said their tacos were okay. My friend who got the Caesar Salad, there was no dressing on the salad not was there a side of dressing that came with it. We had to ask for it. I did not have the energy to try to keep wrangling the waiter. If you want to shut the kitchen down early because the day was long I get it. Let the customer know, I get it. I used to wait tables to but I would never give people luke warm food or luke service. The staff seems not to have one anothers back. I did not eat my food, I took my food home to reheat it so I could eat it at the proper temperature. My friend took his salad home because he had more Caesar dressing at home. Left a bad taste in my mouth and very disappointed. The service and food from the last time compared to this visit was night and day. Total miss. $200.00 thrown away. I paid because I could not let my friends waiste there money on someplace I raved about. Maderas is really a small cute spot. It's rare I have bad service when I go out to eat because I am not a difficult customer and I know I am not the only one they are serving. I will wait for good food and sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and my friends until it arrives. I would not put pressure on the staff or the kitchen. Also I will not arrive just before closing and make a resteraunt and it's staff stay open late because I am hungry. I rather come when the staff and the restaurant wants to recieve customers.

At brunch, the papas bravas come as small cubes of fried potato with an airy crunch that gives way to a soft, pillowy center - the kind of deeply satisfying bite that makes conversation briefly irrelevant. Crisp prosciutto adds salt, aioli brings richness, and smoky chile sauce keeps it lively. They're served with cactus-handled toothpicks, which are almost offensively adorable. The chilaquiles divorciados are another hit. The chips are dressed with salsa rather than drowned beneath it, so each one arrives ready for the perfect bite. It's a small distinction, but an important one. Then there are the enfrijoladas: rolled quesadillas in fluffy tortillas, covered in creamy black bean sauce and plated with more care than bean and cheese might seem to warrant. The dish is fundamentally simple, but that's the point. Soft tortilla, savory beans, melted cheese, bright salsa. Familiar ingredients transformed into something deeply comforting--the culinary equivalent of curling up beneath a warm blanket on a cold morning, even if Houston rarely provides one. Dinner shifts into another gear. The crudos are sensational, especially the tuna tiradito - a rolling wave of flavor and texture. The tacos are excellent across the board, but the crispy maitake mushrooms are unmatched. The short ribs arrive juicy and tender on a mole negro that doesn't sit politely in the background. It lands dark, complex, and full of flavor. And then there's the masa cornbread, a masterpiece of unapologetic indulgence. Humble cornbread meets savory-sweet mole, smoky, earthy butter, and caviar. It sounds like too much. It isn't. Every element earns its place. The cocktails deserve their own warning. They're the kind that convince you to keep ordering the same drink all night. By the end, you may have forgotten what was in it. What you'll remember is that it was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and exactly what you needed. The hostess seemed completely unconcerned about our experience and simply informed us that the wait for a table was approximately two hours. While deciding whether our party should wait or go elsewhere, I went to the bar to order a drink. After ordering, the bartender told me that if I was only having a drink, I needed to move. Apparently, sitting at the bar required ordering a meal. At that point, we had experienced enough. Between the unpleasant valet experience, the indifferent response at the hostess stand, the two-hour wait, and then being told I couldn't sit at the bar simply to have a drink while we decided what to do, the overall message was clear: we did not feel welcome here. My wife, the rest of our party, and I decided to leave and have dinner elsewhere. A busy restaurant is understandable. A long wait is understandable. What is much harder to understand is making prospective customers feel unwelcome at nearly every point of contact. Needless to say, this was an exceptionally disappointing experience, and we will not be returning.

Generally I'm okay with it, if it's less than 10 min. Candente? 20 min or 30 min. Even when it's not busy. They'll mark orders as ready (to make themselves look efficient I imagine) even when they are completely dead, and then will not actually start cooking the order until you get there to pick it up (I know, because I see people come in at the same time I'm there to pick up, order a similar thing, and 20-30 min theirs and mine comes out at a similar time). So just frustrating, is all. The owner is a Texan guy from Kingwood, he also owns the Pit Room BBQ nearby, which is similarly very fancy and successful. Don't let my bad experiences here put you off from trying it. If you want a list of real Mexican gems (and mostly dirt cheap), ask me, but you won't find any Tex Mex on there at all, to be honest. Just not my thing, in the same way that I think American Chinese take away has nothing on Chinese Chinese, such as Sichuan or Xi'an or Hunan cooking.
