I ordered and order from here for delivery all the time and have never had an issue. Therefore I can't say anything bad about this place. True it takes about 30 -45 minutes for delivery but it has to cook, I'm not expecting undercooked pizza. The one on Waldo avenue is awesome in my point of view. It's not easy being a pizza place in a city where pizza is King. I would not describe Goodfellas as the greatest pizza place in the city by any means, but everything I've ordered here has consistently been delicious and quick. Call me a Basic Betty, but I love the pepperoni pizza, generous on the cheese and pepperoni, with little crispy edges and reasonably priced. I love to drench mine in hot honey-- it's phenomenal. I still have the appetite of a 10-yr-old so we also usually order the chicken fingers. I doubt these are homemade, but they're exactly what you want in a chicken finger: super crunchy, fried tender chicken bites of heaven. With a solid honey mustard on the side, too. I'd love to see Goodfellas update their salads to be a bit more exciting and fresh (they have the standard pile of romaine lettuce with onions as their side salad). Still though, this is one of our go-to's in the neighborhood for a delicious, quick bite at a reasonable price. read more

The Literal Scourge of Humanity My other half and I went out for a romantic dinner on one of those cold winter Riverdale nights. After ordering what turned out to be the world's most anorexic pizza and an antipasto salad that induced organ failure from how sour it was--not to mention paying $.75 for DRESSING (a flagrant violation of our UN declared human rights)--we proceeded to ensconce ourselves at a table that hadn't been washed since the bicentennial. We wiped it down because God forbid the busboy lift a finger (he barked at us "We don't clean here!"), we choked down the slop before us. Wanting to ditch the calamity of a pizzeria and down the nearest bottle of Peptobismol we high tailed out of there--only to regrettably return because my wallet went missing. The "customer-focused" staff lashed out at us after we informed them of the predicament and gave us a pretty classy display of operatics to emphasize how they don't clean or have any watchful eye over the place. The CCTV camera was purely decorative as the cashier--who really should have been home studying for his SATs--shared zero remorse. He did nothing to resolve the issue as he said he didn't have access to security footage--I forgot this was Fort Knox. That's it for our review--back to stomach pumping. read more

Pizza is pretty tasty and the slices are larger than the average slice. You have to ask for it well done or else you will receive a sloppy mess. Very overpriced but there's nothing you can do about it. read more

Not sure what's going on with the oven or the cook but my pizza was a cardboard with cheese. The bottom of the pizza was burned Crispy . Either the oven is too high or the cook is not paying attention . I ordered a calamari, side of fries and some garlic knots and all were disgusting. The calamari was just bad all the breadings had fallen off and they all stuck together due to the moistutre in the container and all the flour and it was just a disgusting mess. Sometimes the BF and I stop in here for a slice on our walk down the stairs to get to the 1 train. I can't complain...although the plain slice being equal to a subway fare rule of thumb doesn't apply here. A plain slice is $3. Every once in a while I'll order a white personal pie for delivery. The white pizza is alright - nothing special...and the delivery guys are always in a big hurry. Tonight the guy almost forgot to give me my drink. They made 3 mistakes with 3 different orders and when you call up and bring it to their attention you get attitude from them, they are very stingy with their Cheese & Peperoni Pizza, be prepared for a lot of crust. We ordered a large pie with pepperoni, tomato, garlic, and extra cheese. Fast and nice delivery person. The pizza was fresh and messy (expected with extra cheese and tomato) and unequivocally exceeded our expectations - utterly delicious. Their generosity with the garlic made it that much better. We also ordered a caesar salad with breaded chicken. It's surprisingly easy to mess up a caesar salad, but that was not the case today. The dressing did not overwhelm, and the chicken was well done. Visited here after volunteering at an event. Was the closest pizza spot I could find. Slices we're about $4.50 and up. A bit too pricey for mediocre pizza. A pizza place in the Bronx called Goodfellas -- NO WAY! :-) Goodfellas is good stuff, and they always have decent discounts going on. I've never eaten there (it's a small place with a few seats inside), but the delivery comes quickly and is hot upon arrival. Thumbs up for another quality pizza place in my neck of the woods. PS: Goodfellas is across the street from An Beal Bocht (see my review), which is one of my favorite bars. So if you come up here for one, it would be easy to visit the other. read more

WOW! I just took a giant bite of my Chicken Parmigiana hero which is piping hot and my mouth is doing a happy dance! This hero is HUGE and is stuffed with moist, tender chicken cutlet, a wonderfully tangy/a bit spicy tomato sauce with just the right amount of mozzarella. It arrived piping hot and the delivery guy was wearing a mask and was very friendly. He told me "It's hot, be careful" and he wasn't lying! It's been several years since I've been to Goodfellas (I normally order from Pizza Chef) but, there was a special on the Slice app so I only paid $8 for the Chicken Parmigiana hero so I figured I'd give it a shot and I'm glad I did. Also order 2 slices which look great but I told them not to bother heating them up since I planned to freeze them to enjoy later. All in all, my mouth is still doing a happy dance and I'm so full that there's no way I am going to be able to finish my hero tonight! Great food, fast, hot delivery, delivery guy wearing a mask, I'd like to say there's a negative since I never trust 100% positive reviews but honestly, on a scale of 1 - 10, I'd give them a solid 9.0. Absolutely terrible. Delivery guy dropped our pizza pie on the dirty COVID-19 ground outside of our door and ran off. The box was partially open leaving our pizza compromised. The box was not taped up or tied up. The delivery person could have had bio contact with the food. We ordered from Grubhub and did not request contact free delivery. Via GH policy, contact free delivery is at the customer's request only. The pizza and other food could have been handed over to us with zero touch or contact. Instead, our food was thrown directly on the dirty ground. We spent $73 for this crap. When we called to speak with someone at Goodfellas, they lied about Grubhub's policy. Shortly thereafter, he started yelling at me at top of his lungs when I told him that it was unsafe to not only drop our food on the dirty floor but to leave the box unsecured, untaped and unsafe for transporting. He also responded very nastily with, "am I supposed to tape up every box?" YES! Tape up or tie EVERY SINGLE ONE. Doing so keeps your customers safe. But these people don't care about returning customers. Despicable behavior. Will NEVER order from Goodfellas (Waldo Ave) again. read more

A-OK works for this place. It doesn't stand out. A plain slice is kind of bland, and the sauce isn't the greatest. Its got kind of a weird taste to the sauce that I wasn't crazy about, but the cheese was good. I heard the buffalo chicken slice was awesome, but I wasn't blown away. It was kind of dry, and I've had better. The Chicken Roll is actually superb, so if you're around I'd say get that for sure. There is a funky smell where the soda cooler is (kind of close to the kitchen) that made me think twice about eating here. It's also really small. So if you plan on staying you might have to wait for people to clear out or share a booth. Speaking of which, I had to do just that last time I was there, and this guy I was sitting with felt the need to discuss politics and his world view when I asked if I could use the other half of the booth he had to himself. It went something like this: Something something... Arabs!!!... something something... Obama!!!... blah blah... Libya.. blah blah... Iraq... this that... chick over there... this that... perfect ass. I get it! I made a mistake asking if I could share a booth you had to yourself, even though we were both there when the people sitting in the booth before left, and I got my food way before you did. It is no reason to subject me to torture. Whatever, I'll live. The pizza is pretty much suburban style... that's right I said it! Everyone I know in Riverdale complains about the pizza. I know most people in Riverdale don't like to say they live in the Bronx, but come on.. your pizza places shouldn't imitate Westchester. I mean that in a good and honest way. Excellent calzones up in Westchester... really top notch, but soso pizza. Other than that the place is fine. The people who work there are okay, and the service is pretty quick. If you live in Riverdale and don't feel like walking or driving the minute and a half into Kingsbridge I guess this works for you. A comfortable 3 stars. read more
