I was trying to sell some silver items to Goods. The guy James jerked me around. Said they could have someone come to my house to check the stuff. Then, he said, that he didn't like the area where I live, so could I meet at Starbucks. I said HUH? I have two suitcases of silver items. Then he said - could we meet at a coffee shop across the street. I asked why not the store, he said its too busy. He said their guy carries too much cash to risk it. Makes no sense to me. Why not keep the cash in a safe in the car or van or whatever they use to come to your house. Or carry a gun? read more

I was dealing with the death of my mother (4 weeks prior) and I had a TON of jewelry to sort through. I called Goods, and they called me back within an hour and set up an appointment for 2 weeks later. When the gentleman arrived, he sat down with me and the 7-8 containers of mixed jewelry I had and over an hours time sorted through everything I showed him. He examined each piece and helped me determine which was gold or silver and what was costume or junk. Anything he valued he set aside right in front of me and anything he was not interested it, he SPECIFICALLY showed me it going back into the box it came from for me to list in my upcoming tag sale. When all was done he explained why he chose each piece and what his process was for determining what it was worth. He then itemized each category and gave me a price. I had picked out a range of items to show him and did a lookup on Google AI and came up with average pricing for each item. I had top and bottom totals. He ended up valuing and paying me ON THE SPOT, close to the middle of the range of what I estimated. He was personable, informative, and professional. I stopped by this little place today because I definitely love vintage items. It's a sweet spot. Lots of trinkets, jewelry, vases and some paintings among other things. It's tucked into the Italian market and if I lived closer (I'm coming from West Philly) it would be fun to stop in to see the new things added. This is obviously an disorganized and unprofessional company who has no regard for others' time. They advertise as offering to buy antiques. I contacted them about purchasing some of mine. They took several days to respond, finally asking for several photos. I took the time to send several to them and have not received even a "no, thank you". Why do you ask us to contact you and send photos if you're not going to reply? This time could have been used with someone who knows what they're doing. I wonder if this translates into the same disregard for customers who visit their shop and have problems? read more

The person coming to value the items can eled less than 48 hours out stating we have nothing of interest. Appointment was set 11 days ago. If i had more warning maybe I could have found a company where all colleagues are on the same page as to what is valued and what is not. read more

My kind of shop - great selection of quality vintage pieces - in love with a lot of their jewelry. My interactions with them have all been virtual - through their Insta posts and on etsy - and I've found them to be great to work with as well as fun. They have a lot of pictures of their jewelry on etsy, so you can really see what you're getting, as well as accurate descriptions. I love catching their posts on insta too - new stuff seems to be coming in all the time. The live reels are really helpful to see items that are in the actual shop but not in the virtual etsy shop. read more

Fantastic store - lots of great items of historical significance. The staff was really helpful. There are fantastic paintings to choose from - things that you would normally pay hundreds of dollars for in NYC you can find here at a true discount. Another great thing about this location is that it adds to the flavor of the area- there are fantastic restaurants nearby and great coffee shops. The store has great prices and the owner and staff possess a detailed and thorough understanding of the history behind the pieces in the store. The best part about this store is that they can get you whatever you need if they don't have it in the store, whether vintage or antique fine jewelry, fine art, or whatever else you may be looking for. Just talk to the staff, if they can't directly get it for you they will refer you to someone who can, even their competition. I think they genuinely want to help you out. Wonderful selection of vintage goods! Small shop, but jam packed with awesome, quirky, beautiful finds. The only caveat I have is that things are a bit pricier than what I have found from similar stores that set up shop at flea markets. So, you may have noticed that I have a weakness for certain things, including but not limited to: -small business -bicycles -vegan soaps -coffee -all things that have history, energy, and one or more lifetimes to them. So, in regards to the latter, enter Good's Vintage. Full disclosure, I have only peered through the window during closed hours; but the second I have a hot minute to salivate over my new furnishings (Oh, trust; some of the items I spied are my DENSITY - wait - no - my DESTINY) I will be dragging them home to my apartment which just happens to be one block away. What a great addition to the Italian Market - I've never seen a store like this on the block, and it's such a fresh add-on. And as per the first item I listed in my weakness list - that's a super plus plus reason to go. Go git yourself a new chair, a baller sign, or some crazy kitchen kitsch.
