In my opinion the best thrift store in Denver. This one is so good we visit once a week. I constantly find great designer cloths and shoes (and I mean high-end designers!) at this location, as well as the occasional great find in housewares and furniture. This store is BIG, come prepared to spend some time. It is generally well organized, clean, and doesn't smell like the typical thrift store ;-) I recommend coming during the week (weekends are nuts here!). They are constantly rolling out new racks and bins of goodies to peruse (A note from this thrifting pro, always run to the new stuff and check it out first.) The only real con is the pricing is inconsistent (though sometimes this really works in your favor, like the Laundry by Shelli Seagal dress I found this week for $2.99!). The 2 star rating is for the checking out situation, not the store itself. On the plus, the store is clean, well-laid out and full of good bargains. But beware if you are trying to pay with a credit card. My card was declined twice and there is nothing wrong with my card, as I had only used it 15 minutes before for a small purchase. Since I didnt have enough cash with me, I had to use my debit card which I did not want to use. When I got home I found two charges on my credit card for goodwill even though it was declined.....I am waiting to see if they disappear since the card was declined. but I am pretty annoyed. If you don't take credit cards, let people know ahead of time so they know to bring cash. read more

This goodwill has a beautiful interior that makes you feel like you're shopping at Nordstrom's, as others have mentioned before. Prices are in the $4 for a pretty lace tanktop to $8-10 for an in-style maxi dress. For some reason they don't seem to have a selection of women's XL and XXL tops? It seems like they weed through the bigger sizes to only stock things the hip Broadway crowd will buy, which makes sense. This is definitely a thrift store for finding great clothing to WEAR - if you are like me, and hunt for large pieces of clothing based on their fabric choices so you can upcycle them, this is not for you - the prices and tiny sizes of the clothing will have you running out the door. But overall, fantastic Goodwill for the cheap, chic fashionista. read more

I get ridiculously excited when my mom comes to visit because that means we get to go on a thrift store spree - something my husband prefers to skip. We always make out like bandits here. This is such a clean and well-organized store, not to mention huge, and with a free parking lot in back. I took off one star because the women's bathrooms have been flooded on two visits - like flooded outside the hallway to the bathrooms and all over the entrance to the back parking lot. But I love crystal wine glasses, local beer mugs, funky barware, vintage kitchen stuff and unique glass - and this place never leaves me empty-handed. It's rare that I delve into the clothes, but when I have I've actually found some brand-new (or almost) things, or those random items you need for a costume. Sometimes the deals are so good, the cashiers will eye up my prizes with a close eye, like when I walked out with what looked like a framed Beatles album (homemade, but still cool!). The few times I've managed to get my husband inside the store, he has purchased more items than me - be it books, golf clubs, NWT dress shirts or weird tools that can be used on the grill or for camping. Just could not do it! I stopped by today with a car load of things to donate. I try to donate thoughtfully and not donate my junk. There was one other guy unloading the contents of his van into a wheeled cart. There were no other carts out there, so went up to the top of the ramp and watched one guy tossing the contents of a wheeled cart into various sorting boxes. Didn't care if things broke or were smashed... I asked if he had an extra cart and was told, not at the moment. I was trying to figure out what to do when he send an empty cart rolling down the ramp. The guy ahead of me grabbed it, which is fair since he was there first. I added a couple of lamps and other things into the cart, then decided that I really didn't want the oil paintings and other household goods I had to donate treated so disrespectfully. I closed up my car and will find someplace else that wants my donated goods. What good are donated items if they are broken and mangled? read more

You know, I've always been a big fan of Goodwill because every single time I shop there, I find at least one thing to buy. This trip was no exception. I found a really cool shirt that I decided to buy. After looking around the entire store I decided it was time to head out. While waiting in line, an associate called out to me that she could help me at another register. My friend and I approached only to have her engage in a conversation with another associate. Not once did she acknowledge me any further and they were going back and forth over who was on the computer last. Really? You called me over to wait and listen to you two argue? Anyway, for one shirt it took me five minutes to check out because they spent so much time talking. Some of that time was just her scuffing because she appeared to be mad at the world or something. I realize this is Goodwill and not Bloomingdale's but I'm still giving them my business and my hard-earned money. I still like Goodwill and I'll continue to shop there but some human interaction in this city is still nice from time to time. read more

This store is great. Large home goods section, some of the items still have the original store tags and are unused. The employees are super helpful. I bought a chair and realized when I brought it to my car that it wouldn't fit! An employee brought out some tools to take the chair apart so that it'd fit and then gave me the tools so that I could put it back together when I got home! I love this goodwill! read more

OMG - I guess it was just my lucky day. Stopped in to kill some time until an appointment. Walked out with 3 pairs of gently worn shoes. Two cute pairs of sandals, 1/2 off for $2 and $3. Then had to pay all of $5.99 for a pair of hardly worn Stuart Weitzmans! Doesn't get better than that. I'll be back! read more

I have been to several Goodwills throughout the US and this is by far the cleanest, most modern Goodwill retail store I have visited. I just had to smile when I walked in because it was so incredibly inviting. Kudos to the Broadway Goodwill! I usually have to fight the urge to wash my hands or sanitize before I have even finished my first rack, but I was actually able to enjoy my full shopping experience without a second thought of washing my hands until I left. Workers are constantly putting out new merchandise and I felt like I had hit the jackpot. Usually I can find two or three awesome finds after a Goodwill dig, but I was hitting J.Crew, Columbia, Gap, White House Black Market, Burberry and more every two or three minutes! I shop thrift stores a lot, including the Goodwill's. I was just at this store yesterday. I found 1 piece of a matching article inside and 1 outside in a bin marked trash. I tried to speak to someone about it in the store. I wanted to buy it. They would not entertain the idea and disciplined the workers at the donation site for working with me to match up the items. The donation site workers were guilty of good customer service and trying to prevent something from going to the landfill. In the past I have often chosen Goodwill's over other thrifts for shopping and donations because I believed in the mission of helping others and reducing and reusing. This store left me feeling like it had little "good will" and had lost its mission. I deeply regret that someone who tried to help me got disciplined for an above board honest attempt to help a customer and sell something to benefit the store. Over the past several months there has been an overall shift in the Goodwill stores in attitude and pricing. People used to work with you to find a price if it wasn't marked, but 3 times now I've been denied an item, because it was unmarked. Please go back to the friendly and simple store model you used to have. Till there's a change I'll be donating and shopping elsewhere. Today was my last straw. read more

I'm from Kansas but visiting in Denver and I went to this goodwill. I walked in and I could not believe it! This place is actually organized and looks like a store not a hodgepodge of clothes and junk. I found two polo button ups for $5 each and another $80 shirt for $4 so the stuff is very quality just know what your looking for. Also every couple Saturdays is half off day which we just missed. read more

Some aspects are great: great housewares, cookware, big clothing selection. But this Goodwill is really lacking in furniture. When they do have pieces, they're way overpriced. I pretty much only purchase used, vintage, or antique furniture, so I'm very familiar with how it should be priced. This Goodwill will sell a tiny dresser that has two broken drawers for $100. For furniture, I'd recommend hitting up another used furniture store in Denver (there are some great ones in the Santa Fe Arts District!) read more

I love this good will. my friends and I go several times a week to look for new merchandise. I asked jim a question one day and got perfect answer and was treated with great service, respect, etc. I told my friends when u have a question ask for jim toll, I had cashier give me his last name. ive noticed changes in the store with personnel, not the same as it use to be, the old employees r good, but some now show name tags with promotions and new people. not like before. nice, but sometimes don't want to b bothered with older women. so we go to counter and ask for jim toll anytime we have a question,. he comes to our rescue each time. he likes all people and as some of your employees don't want to be bothered by older people. I have seen jim working all the time, helps people if they need it. tim, the store manager was always good, but don't think he is there anymore. hate to say it but, I think some of your assistant managers and head people r there to play store. come on, give is back our old store. notice lots of old nice employees gone. IF WE EVER GO IN AND JIM IS GONE, WE WILL NEVER GO TO A GOOD WILL AGAIN.... BETTER HAVE HIM TRAIN YOUR NEW ASSISTAN'T MANAGERS AND HEAD PEOPLE. SOME OF THEM NEED IT. Over the last year, the prices have soared. This negatively impacts the "good" for the struggling folks who are trying to survive these economically challenging times. A recent blue card discount program rolled out with much confusion; I suppose the intent was that the quadrupling of prices in some cases might be overlooked by the 20% discount when spending over $25. The cashiers were not aware of the details. After one week and many explanations about how the program works, today I was told at the register that the senior discount was reduced on Mondays due to an email that was sent; this caused greater confusion and frustration for me as a patron. Is the mission to help our community? Then go back to charging reasonable prices. The hardest hit in this economy is the middle class and the elderly. We actually rely on being able to find what we need from the thrift stores. read more

This is truley a great store except for an except for an employee by the name of JOSE. He is abrasive, pushy, lacks any polish and is just a very difficult person to deal with. As I always do as soon as i spotted him working I left & with approximately 100.00 worth of items I was going to purchase sitting in the cart. I only hope Jose was the one to return them to stock. Please Broadway Goodwill you have so many wonderful employees why would you keep someone so rude to your customers around even one more day? read more
