Overpriced for a thrift store but I came back in here recently and the staff was very friendly & I found some cute clothes. It was clean & did not smell (my first visit here it smelled like fish). I'll probably come back because I did find some nice things. I wish they were a little cheaper. Some stuff I could buy NEW for less money. I love thrift stores though...you never know what treasure you will find that is why I enjoy shopping at thrift stores. I remember one Goodwill employee told me one time that the Goodwill was trying to sell more "new" stuff & trying to get away from being just a "thrift" store. WHY???? Ive been to every type of goodwill and this one is definately lacking. Yeah its clean and organized but theres nothing in it!! At any other goodwill I could look in it for hours, this one is10 minutes and youved looked at everything. Prices are kiinda high and they rarely have specials. This review is specifically on the donation center drop off area. An older man working here is very aggressive and rude to those donating items, often times yelling at them and shouting profanities like "you can't just leave your sh*t here". He said he wouldn't take my very expensive area rugs I wanted to donate until I reminded him that on the website it states goodwill takes area rugs, in which he replied "fine just leave them here". Judging by the other reviews it seems this is he same man that verbally harasses other donators as well. I am no longer going to be donating to this goodwill SPECIFICALLY bc of how you are treated here. I will be calling management. read more

The outside is deceiving! It looks so nice and big but once u walk in it's so small and cramped plus no ac and not much stuff. I went in looking for kid/baby clothes didn't find a thing for boys maybe like way less than half a small rack of boy clothes. The rest was girl clothes and random sizes. Part of me giving two stars has to do with location. This location is very convenient. So that's one extra star really this place deserves one star. Every time I have donated stuff the people in the donation side seem to always have an attitude. There is no kind polite greeting there is no kindness or real interaction at all. It's more of a gruffness and just not pleasant. It really makes me not want to donate! Which is very unfortunate because I believe in the mission of Goodwill and I believe having them in the community is an asset to the community. However you cannot be an asset to the community if you turn people off from donating to you. read more

Awful customer service! Tried to make a donation and was turned away "not accepting donations today" why? Because they're full. This was first thing in the morning I might add. I've donated here before and they're station was far from full. I wasn't turned away last time and there was a lot more that time. Brought our donations another day and told they're out of receipts so we can't get a receipt for our tax purposes. Really? Not even a signed piece of paper or anything as proof? Pretty good selection here and always clean inside, I donate to this store regularly and have even found a few nick knacks myself.

This particular goodwill store is in a great location. The merchandise there is neat and organized. Very easy to comb through. I can always find something to take home. My cashier Justin was friendly and efficient. My shopping experiences there have always been positive:) read more

It's sad to see that this area of the bay does not know much about vintage fashion. Or maybe it's just Goodwill itself, but nevertheless, it's such a rare opportunity for me to find something that I like from this thrift store, especially in the apparel section. The gems usually lie in the shoe department, and even then they come in once in a blue moon, but one of these days, I WILL score on a great deal! Otherwise, this place is okay. This is a nice place to shop! Staff is friendly and always helpful. Goodwill prices are always a little high for used items, but they provide a service to the community; if I want garage sale prices, I'll go to garage sale. Store could be a little cleaner over all, but I'm picky that way. Just because it's used items doesn't mean it can't be kept clean. Overall...nice place to find treasures! read more

I don't visit Goodwill often, but I was in the area, and the store looked pretty nice so I decided take a look - and I'm glad I did. I've never been to a thrift store where I've had such exceptional customer service. Thank you to store associate Justin A., you were extremely helpful, went above and beyond, and frankly gave me better service than what I've received before at department stores like Macy's. My favorite story by far I go here before I go anywhere else I can usually always find whatever I need. Not to mention the staff is great and ready to help always trying to find me the best deal and the good stuff go see Angie or Pete or Elisa or 1 of the many others that work their. There more then just coworkers they are a team a family an when you should you see it. Brentwood goodwill is where it's at. 50% cheaper then any other store. Great store inside a busy shopping center near the bank and pizza place. I give credit for the cleaniness of this store. All the Goodwill I been to, this store has got to be the cleaniness. Inside the store, the usual items such as clothing, shoes and houseware. I check out the back section with all the hot electronics and appliances and I never have been able to find any of the hot items I am looking for. Either they are gone fast or no one donate those items to this location. They are a few furnitures and glass kitchen desk in the back center and those items seems to be gone fast the next time I visit this location again. read more

It's pathetic that I even have to put 1 star in order to post a review. This place deserves 0 stars. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! I came here a few days ago to drop off some clothes and I pull in and the employee working was standing outside the store combing his beard! I looked at him somewhat confused as to why he would be doing grooming himself at work. He kept combing and asked me what I was doing and I said I am donating, and he told me I had to wait and gave me a hand and told me I had to wait 30 minutes! THERE WAS NO ONE THERE! And when I asked why he looked at me strangely and just proceeded to comb over and over. Finally, I just rolled my eyes at him, extremely annoyed and told him that I didn't have 30 minutes to wait and he threw his hands up at me as if I was the rude one here. It was so disgusting, I will never return again. Literally go anywhere, and I mean anywhere else to donate. read more

I am done with trying to donate items to this location. My last two experiences have been pretty bad. I just pulled up to the donation center at 5 PM, and while I'm unloading my items a man yells "we're closed!" to me. The front doors were wide open and the employees were standing around outside while loading items into a truck.... didn't look very "closed" to me. The time before that, I walked up to the front to hand over my items, The two employees were so busy talking to each other that they could not even say one word to me. What kind of customer service is this? I'm not even trying to buy anything, just trying to donate some things that are in good condition. Apparently in 2016 chairty is frowned upon? I'm confused... The RUDEST most ungrateful staff I have ever encountered . I pull up at 8:58 am as they are wheeling out bins appearing to be starting the days donation accepting, doors to the store wide open. I kindly ask if they are accepting donations. The man tells me "at 9:00 we will" in an extremely rude tone. I look at my phone and say "oh ok, so in 2 minutes". LOL. I had with me a HUGE box of clothing that was literally mostly NEW. MAYBE each item worn one time some not worn at all (I am the type that cleans out my closet once every month or two) . The rude and miserable looking "gentlemen" asks me "what I had" before he allows me to bring it in, tells me "in the blue bin" and nods over to the bin I'm supposed to drop my items in supposedly. He then acts appalled when I asked for a receipt...Isn't this common knowledge most people like a receipt for taxes purposes?!? He proceeds to go get the receipt book....all they have to do is SIGN and DATE a blank receipt, yet he acts as if I'm asking him to light himself on fire. I'm sorry washing and neatly folding approximately 75 items of basically new clothing and asking to give them to your store for free makes me a bad person. My bad. I'm a huge thrift store fan. There is nothing thrifty about this store. Everything is overpriced. I'm always thinking, "I bet I could find this at Target new for the same price or better." I had a conversation while there with 3 other ladies who felt the same way as one of them picked up a tea pot and showed me the original price on the bottom. Firstly, Why are their items so overpriced? Most of them are close to retail value. These are all donations, prices should not be that high. And they get plenty enough donations to be able to pay their employees. Secondly,the people at the donation side are awful. Horrible attitude and don't even acknowledge you when you walk in. I took about 10 or 12 large garbage bags of clothes to the Goodwill Store in Brentwood, CA. I went into donations and asked at the counter for a basket. Although there were 2 people working the counter, I was told they were out of baskets and I could just bring them in. That is just rude! The worst place to donate. My wife and I have limited mobility. We asked them for help to unload about 4-5 boxes of hard cover books and collectiable dolls and toys.The so called staff of 3 people just watched us struggle to get donations out of car. This by far is the best location I've ever visited. I bargain shop at goodwill all throughout the bay area and i have never received such a warm welcome as i have today. My mom and I visited and it just so happened to be seniors day a young man named Justin greeted us as soon as we came in, offered a helping hand, and kept a smile on his face the entire time. I wasn't even supposed to have an encounter with Goodwill. I took my kid for his haircut and about 3 minutes into it someone from Goodwill (same shopping center) came into the hair saloon and told me I needed to move my car because it was parked in a loading zone. I told the man that I was not parked in a loading zone, that the two spots to the left of me were marked yellow but that I was in an unmarked spot. He continued to argue with me in front of my 2 kids. I couldn't exactly simply go move my car because my son was in the middle of a hair cut and I also had my 1 year old with me. PLUS it was an unmarked spot, so I didn't legally have to. One of the hairdressers had to intervene and tell him that he needed to take up his problem with the landlord. He left, only to return again. The hairdresser told him she was almost done. Then another man from Goodwill came in and said I needed to hurry. All of this was within an 8 minute window. After a rushed hair cut, and being harassed, when I went out to my car the guy was still there complaining that I was parked in a loading zone. I clearly pointed out to him that the spot was NOT marked and therefore I was not in a loading zone. THE SPOT WAS NOT MARKED! I've been trying to call this Goodwill location for 2 days now to talk to a Manager. Nobody answers the phone and the voicemail box is full. read more

I just relocated to CA from Dallas, TX. I am simply amazed at the ridiculous prices at this Goodwill location. Granted the store is clean, and somewhat organized, the prices are crazy. I am a weekend thrift store shopper, for family and friends and people in need. I have lived in quite a few states, and to say this store has the highest prices is an understatement. I just bought ties for my son, 10 to be exact for $1.99 each in the Keller, TX goodwill. The same type of tie at this store is $4.99. $3.00 more! Why??? I know pay more for housing and gas, I have to pay more for 2nd hand merchandise as well?? The prices are sometimes higher than retail. You have $1.00 store merchandise for 5 and 6.00 in the household section. Shoes priced higher than retail. I realize that the prices are cheaper than purchasing new in a lot of instances, but this merchandise for the most part is not new. I lived in MN where Target donates a large amount of merchandise to Goodwill, and even that merchandise new is not even close to the prices you are charging. I'm not understanding the theory behind the prices, granted we are in a higher economy area, but the funds you use are not just used in the Brentwood area, they are used in lower economy area's as well. Not all people that shop at Goodwill have a lot of money, that is why they shop at Goodwill, but now they can't even afford to buy from Goodwill because your prices are so high. How about helping those in need that are trying to provide for thier families without asking for assistance? You have childrens clothing priced higher than Target and Wal-mart. C'mon....you are not an organization that helps itself, you are suppose to be there for the community. I understand you have people that come in shop you and resell, so be smart about it and price only high quality items higher. People with little kids don't care about buying Guess or Versace for thier kids to wear when they can barely afford to put food on the table. I think it is a disgrace and an outrage that you are charging so much for everything. I am no longer going to shop at Goodwill, and will find other means to help family, friends, and those in need. Salvation Army, other thrift stores... that is where the money needs to be filtered to now... it seems like they have more of the community in mind. No carts, no color tags that are half off on certain days, no coupon that is e-mailed to you monthly giving you 15% off your total bill...these are all things other Goodwill locations offer, why not this one?? read more
