It's a beautiful store - organized, and clean. The employees are great, and there is a ton of parking. Also, they let you bring your dog in. BUT, the prices are really high. Ive seen a lot of items just as high as you would buy them new, or close to it. I go anyway, and mostly like it, but I often can't buy the items I want, because I can't afford them. read more

The pricing here is not super reasonable. I have seen some items priced above full retail. Sometimes you find good deals, but other thrifts on the hill have much better prices and specials. The employees are super nice and I come in about once a week or two because I live a few blocks away. Tonight was my first negative experience. I accidentally spilled the last of my coffee on the floor. One of the employees cleaned it up and he was super nice about it. About five minutes later I notice one of the other workers aproach him and say something around the lines of "coffee on the floor is the last thing you need right before closing. They should call me 'patience' because I have zero." I do not think she realized I was still near by, but that is just not an appropriate thing to say when there are customers around. One of the cleanest, most organized Goodwills in Seattle. I've been a few times and always found interesting items. However, this past time I scored some awesome finds and was really impressed with what they had in stock: decent books, cool furniture, and of course some fantastic sweaters. Things might be priced higher than some of the other thrift stores in the area but they're definitely reflective of the quality. read more

Less said is more for this location. Suburb pricing, as all Goodwills should be. The major key here is the location, Cap Hill is a runway of great North West style all up and down Broadway. You get more sauce for less at any Ol Goodwill, but here, you get perhaps the best storefront version of this thrift candy land in the state. read more

This goodwill was very well organized and very clean. It almost didn't feel like a thrift store. I hunt for vintage clothing and this shop had a large selection of vintage clothing sectioned off. Definitely a little higher priced on vintage than what may be common for thrift stores ($15-$40) but they do the work for you by separating it into its own fully stocked section. I highly recommend it for the vintage clothing lover. read more

They can be overpriced when it comes to clothes, but I love their household items!! Their organization is super cute, I think it's endearing that they do little themes with their clothing and accessories. It looks like they filter their stuff pretty well, it's a nice clean store but they are lacking in some better finds. read more

so everyone's been raving about this goodwill location and i finally made my way over. it's great, though i wouldn't rate it higher over any of the other locations tbh. and i've been able to find better things elsewhere for about the same prices. however, the service is so wonderful here. associates seem genuine to help and interact with you. plus i love that it's not picked over (considering the location. capitol hill residents love some discounts) i did snag a marc by marc jacobs dress for $32 so that's always nice. i'll definitely be coming back. their jewelry section is especially great. read more

Pros: amazing selection, right by hot cakes. Cons: extremely expensive for a goodwill which is already an expensive thrift store. they have this ridiculous rule of only 5 items to try on and then you have to GET BACK in line to try on any more. I've never encountered a rule like this in 100s of thrift stores. read more

What a wonderful store with incredibly customer-oriented staff! The men's selection is small, but that's how it goes in this country. I found exactly what I was looking for- actually better than expected. My trip here was for work clothes and once income stabilizes I will be definitely be back to shop here for everything else. Today it was an expedition rucksack. Last week a purple leather jacket. Before that, two pair of like new keens and ugg sandals. Should I go on? The prices were a bit higher than usual at this location. I did see lots of designer items but I kept pulling things to look at them and they would be the wrong size... almost every time... so I didn't leave with anything. This is better for college stuff, clothing, purses but not homegoods. read more

I frequent this location nearly daily and one of the few times that I actually went there somewhere in a panic because I needed a specific color of pants for work actually a new job that I'm starting I found ones unexpectedly that I really really liked but because they felt like the price was too low when I got up to the register they replaced it and raised it and I didn't have enough money to buy and this place is a rip off and considering most of the employees there themselves take whatever they want from that establishment I left seemingly a palled that they would do something like that especially after I explain to them that I really needed this for work and that this was the price on them also if you seem to take your time perusing through you'll notice you end up with a couple tales walking around behind you treating you like you're a common thief which also is ridiculous and very very alienating read more

the best goodwill i have been to, very clean too. they don't necessarily have designer stuff but it's more that it seems almost curated like a vintage store without the vintage store prices. they even added an actual vintage section which was a clever strategy. the women's section is very well stocked whereas the men's is smaller. there's also a downstairs for homewares and the like. i always enjoy shopping here and the customer service is very friendly. read more

One of the best Goodwills I've ever been to!!! Holy cow! I was on vacation in Seattle and ran into this place. As an avid thrifter, I drug my husband in and if it wasn't for that I was traveling with a hiking backpack and with a husband rolling his eyes at the fact that we were at goodwill on vacation, I would've bought out the store! The prices were super reasonable and the selection was insane. Bought a few tops here for work, one of which was designer (not that I care about the brand, but still) and still had the tag on (I think it was only like $5). Who got rid of that? It's insanity! I could've bought a whole new wardrobe here. If I lived in Seattle, I'm pretty sure I would be here all the time. read more

I honestly try to love this location because its much closer and easier to shop than the local Value Village. today, after paying $15 for a pair of pants I will probably just go to Ross instead. their store is relatively clean and the staff are nice enough. and even with the unavoidable high costs in seattle I really feel its a shame that a thrift store would charge so much. read more

I am a total fan of thrift stores. I even enjoy Goodwill, but this location in Auburn is sad and run down. The Auburn store is so depressing. They should call the Capitol Hill store and get some tips on running a great thrift store. The Capitol Hill location is so well organized, they cross merchandise items and it is so clean and well organized. There are locations that are awesome, and some feel junky and full of despair. read more

Definitely the cleanest Goodwill I've ever visited. There's a top floor and a bottom floor, the top having all of the clothing and the bottom containing housewares. The top floor was very well organized, fitting rooms were clean, staff was nice. They had a lot of name brand clothing items. Usually when shopping at Goodwill, you have to sort through a lot of mediocre items to find something good but this location definitely had more good than bad. If you're looking to find some cool vintage items, this is the place to go. read more

A couple of days ago I came here on my day off from work and I spent almost 2 hours in the store. I had so much fun. They have the BEST jelwery and at a very good price. They have a couple stores to which they channel all the good, worthwhile donations, and this is the best one.

This Goodwill doesn't have an extensive collection of kids clothing, books, or toys but still found a few cute things (Hanna Andersson, Baby Gap, etc.). Definitely caters more to the adult crowd. Great parking though. read more

Don't go into this goodwill with any preconceived idea of what most goodwills are like. This one had more trendy clothing that barely looked worn. And the store was clean, nicely set up, and had a huge selection of clothing. The prices though may be a tad more than you are used to at goodwills, but it also isn't your average goodwill. read more

Great selection of both used and new (but very inexpensive) clothes! Most thrift stores are expensive or have a poor selection; this store is neither - it has a good selection that is affordable. It was helpful, also, to be able to buy some new items, like gloves and socks, for extremely affordable prices as well - the gloves were $2. read more
