This is a no for me. The store is very small. Maybe 800 square feet. Just a few racks for women, a few for men, and looked like 1 rack for children. One shelf of plates, glasses, and vases. 1 shelf of books. Not sure about the word "boutique" I didn't see a lot of brand names. Let alone high end brand names to display "boutique" Parking lot is a private lot, but it's shared with other businesses. Not a lot of parking spaces, and some of the spots are labeled for the other businesses. So you can't park there. Just wasn't even close to what I was hoping this store to be. read more

Visited this Goodwill boutique during a recent trip to Austin, and it's well worth a visit! It's got some well-curated items so it's easier to browse around and find items with good brands and in great shape. Had a lot of fun trying on some beautiful pieces of clothing, and came away with some well-priced treasures. read more

I am shocked that people are coming here to write that this place is overpriced...are we not shopping at the same store? It's a Goodwill Boutique, located in an area that has people with higher incomes. Therefore when you're coming to a boutique goodwill that's located in such an area, you probably should have the right set of expectations. What you score depends on a lot of factors. I think it's reasonable for clothes to have small tears/holes. It's been used, not refurbished. I came here searching for blouses which they had a good selection of. I walked out with a UT Longhorn mug, some barely used tee ball gloves for my little ones. A kids nike sweater, some Under Armour shirts, and a few Longhorn t-shirts for the family. I even scored some gently used soccer cleats for $7. All of these items would have been significantly more expensive from the retailer. I do agree that the lot is tiny, but I had someone drop me off while I shopped. read more

The worst part about this particular goodwill is the fact that parking is a nightmare. There is literally less than 8 spots available with nowhere else to go. This is also literally the smallest goodwill I have ever seen which encompasses about 1000 ft.². About 80% of the store is given over to clothing with little to nothing in the way of electronics. I found the pricing here to be a little more than your average goodwill, but that may be due to the fact there are higher quality items donated here. It's worth stopping in for a look, assuming you can find a parking spot. read more

Goodwill is a Gooddeal for everyone. It creates jobs and education for people and an environment for good deals for treasure hunters like me. I have been going to the store in Westlake for many years and have had some great finds. The people who work there are exceptional including but not limited to Christina, Sandra, Joe Joe, Gary, Jose and Leslie to name a few. This place was a nice place to shop. I came here yesterday from a recommendation from a friend, and I looked for some things to buy. The issue mainly is that because they put the word "Boutique" in front of the name, it automatically makes everything so much more expensive relative to other Goodwills for basically the same things. I was unable to bargain or haggle with the prices of the products in this store, and they really don't cater very well to slim or small sizes, especially for men. The workers there were very kind, but nevertheless unable to change their overpriced items for me, which was something that I could do at other thrift stores. Will I come back? Maybe, if I'm bored Would I recommend this? No, I will not. read more

I love this place! It's got a great selection of nice brands in a "boutique" style setup. The biggest issue I've had here is damaged clothing. I've accidentally bought clothes with holes and have learned to look over items more carefully before purchasing. Each visit I do find clothes with rips/holes/pulls, but I also find great things. Because this is a Goodwill "boutique" everything is overpriced. The Goodwill is as only as good as the neighborhood so good on Goodwill for capitalizing on the fancy donations of Rollingwood! What's upsetting is that I recently purchased an end table and the price sticker was strategically placed over a scratch that could only be realized after I brought the item home. Interesting boutique style goodwill. This was cleaner than most locations and more organized. Since they have a bit more brand name items, some of the prices are a bit over priced for them being used and torn. I had found tons of items that you could get for new at TJ Maxx, Marshall's, or other types of stores like that. read more

I saw a giraffe outside and I said out loud I wanted it, when I left to help my friend take her baby out of the car and when I came back the giraffe was behind the register. I feel like that was racially motivated given that me and my friends are Mexican Americans. I was planning on buying it not stealing it. read more

The prices are good, not trample-grandmas-on-Black-Friday good. The GW Boutique is curated so it's all usable if a little boring. ;) I was able to find like-new Athleta tights and a bra, a workout top with the cute thumb holes, and a work sweater for $47 including tax. Most of the items I saw were around $10 each. If you are a S or XS in Athleta, hurry on down for more capris than you can shake a stick at! read more

GW is Goodwill's "boutique" style thrift shop. Thrift by its very definition implies frugality. The intent here appears to be to bring the finer merchandise together in a boutique setting. Unfortunately, their perception of fine merchandise and pricing miss the mark. The shop was small, the selection limited (like a boutique); but I found the pricing to be incongruent to the merchandise that they were selling. The selection was lacking that special designer quality and the pricing was equal or more to what I might buy similar items for NEW or on sale or clearance. Thrift???? I found $54 on a very small used Furla bag 6+ seasons old that you could have likely purchased at the outlet or on clearance for the same price, 6 seasons ago. I found pricing of $7.99 each on used Riedel Vivant tequila glasses that sold for $25 NEW at Target for a set of 4. I purchased the same glasses in NEW packaging at Goodwill a few years ago for $9.99. Let's remember that it is Goodwill, not Neiman Marcus. While it is a great concept, it would be even greater if they remembered they are a thrift shop in their pricing. read more

Their generosity is my SCORE! The last trip I walked away with five books from my list, in great condition and for less than $3 each. Great selection and friendly staff. Went on the semi-annual 50% off sale and snagged some great items. Prices are normally on the higher end (most $10+, but some things like t-shirts being $7), but when there's a sale it's worth checking out. Even when there's not a sale this location has high-quality brands at a fraction of the price. I got Madewell denim shorts, a Madewell tank top, and a Ralph Lauren men's long sleeve polo all for ~$17 (that was with the 50% off). Shoes all looked like they were in great condition, and clothes were (mostly) clean and of high quality. read more

I didn't really have a good excuse to come to this side of town until Trader Joe's opened a few months ago. I had seen GW by Goodwill a few times on the bus heading to The Barton Creek Mall, and of course thought about poking my head in before grocery shopping across the street. Well...I thought I'd finally check it out and write a review of this place, since some of these reviews are ancient (You're welcome). I was hoping to find more designer clothes here, considering the neighborhood, but really didn't see much. I do like the store itself. It's definitely easier on the eyes than a regular thrift store--with the clean dressing room and dim lighting and all. The merchandise is definitely "edited," which makes the shopping process much faster. I saw the occasional cashmere sweater, gently used silk-cotton blend top, and plenty of cute dresses. They have lots of great blazers and sweaters, as well as gently used high heels if you're into that sort of thing. Brands? A lot of no-name, but high quality Made In America garments, and the occasional J Crew sweater or top. Many of the clothes here are probably from Anthropologie, Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, or Banana Republic. With all that said, I had a handful of garments for the dressing room but very few fit me in the way that I like. I have a long torso and short legs--if you have more normal measurements, you'll find lots of things. I walked out with a funky faux turquiose necklace and a like-new Banana Republic, 100% cotton, NOT SEE THROUGH top. I'd recommend this store to other thrifters, but don't expect a miracle or anything. read more

Came here the other day with my friend on one of those "why not" sort of shopping trips. I had passed this place many times and wanted to see what it was about. This is a goodwill store, but is supposedly more of a boutique, or upscale location. First of all, it smelled pretty good inside. I think there might have been a citrus-y perfume or glade plugin in the air. Compared to your everyday used-goods store, this is a big plus. There was a really fun R&B satellite radio station on the speakers, and I enjoyed that as well. As to the clothes, definitely a little more upscale and edited than your average Goodwill, and the prices are a little higher to match. Still, compared to retail, the customer is definitely winning here. I managed to find some good teacher clothing from Banana Republic and Moth without much effort. However, just like a some regular Goodwill stores, the clothing is sorted by color, and not size. This is a big drawback. Because it's a smaller collection of clothing, and an upscale/boutique store, I think it would be a better move to not expect the customers to "dig" through the racks, looking for something that might fit. A lot more clothing might be sold if the garments were sorted by size. (My friend that came with me just eventually gave up on looking, because it was too hard to find the right size for her.) There's also a decent collection of homewares (complete dish sets!), books, and DVDs. I managed to find a really neat book on the linguistic regions of Texas! Score! read more

There are all sorts of cute clothes here. Expect to see labels like Gap, Talbot's, Banana Republic, Harold's, Loft, Ann Taylor, and so on. Items are sorted by type and color, not by size, so be prepared to dig. Most women's items are S/M/L, with a few XL and very few in P or plus. Lots of cute shoes, but not many in sizes over 10. Sometimes the pricing is wonky - for instance, I saw a Croft and Barrow solid color tee for $8 that you can buy at Kohls new for the same price. But there are great deals to be had - most capris are under $10, most shirts the same, and they also have some suits for you workplace types. There are also men's clothes, some housewares, DVDs, Xbox/Playstation games, and hardback/paperback books. read more

I was kind of disappointed in this place. It's a great idea, but needs some fine tuning. The selection is small, but good. Way easier to find some cute stuff, but the chances of it being in your size is slim. And I'm not so sure about the prices, I found a dress I liked for $12, but it was way too short for me, but if it fit I would've gotten it. Then I found a shirt I liked from Forever 21... also for $12. C'mon, I don't even pay $12 for a first hand Forever 21 shirt. I might stop back randomly if I'm trying to kill time, but definitely not one of the better thrifty shops in Austin. read more

I was surprised but I actually found some shoes and clothes here. They don't have much in the way of kitchenware or home goods and mainly focus on selling name brand used clothes. Not all is used though since I was able to snag a brand new pair of Sperry's here in my size for $12. Nice store and friendly staff in a fairly upscale part of town. read more

INSANE! That is the word that best summary of this store. The prices are insane and rival that of retail stores and the management, namely Ms Bettle, is not a customer friendly person and that she's made her way to a management position is as you can guess, insane. Their pricing practices aren't that great either unless you think that accidentally putting two different prices on a set of dishes then trying to charge the customer the combined price is fair business practice. If you are looking for a thift store to shop at in Austin don't even waste your time at this one. read more

I'm impressed with the cleanliness and look of this store. It is a boutique store and feels like an upscale clothing shop with its dim lighting and smaller space. The clothes are in much better shape and there are many designer labels to chose from. The price of the clothing, while still modest is about 2 or 3 times higher than the normal Goodwill stores. But again, these clothes are in much newer condition than the ones at the normal stores. It's worth checking out if you're into designer labels or need casual clothes for a Friday night. read more

Upon a recommendation from a friend I drove out of my way to check out this particular Goodwill in Westlake. I am glad there are thrift stores, Goodwills and stores such as this that recycle back instead of tossing out. I was however surprised that it was so small in size. Compared to others it was so tiny and I did not wind up finding that certain special designer item I was insured they carried. Maybe due to the holidays they were just picked over but I am sticking with the true thrift stores that are far less in cost per item and I usually find a few items that were worth going in and searching for. read more

Love this place! I don't always find something but when I do, its awesome. I bought a great coffee maker from here for like $10 that works amazingly well and looked new. I've also found several cute home decor pieces. They have very high quality home stuff which makes it fun. The store itself is also very easy to navigate and you'll know pretty quickly if they've got something you want or not. I love how easy it is to get in and out and how organized things are!
