I have been shopping there for 3 years. Great deals great selection makes me overlook the…read moresystematically hostile cashier.(older lady) That lady always types prices instead of scanning labels and consistently overcharges you. Today there was a different cashier who charged me 4 items when I had 3 and told me she cannot refund me despite her mistake. She was the store manager, nice, but still. This is done purposefully. It has happened too many times to be a coincidence. Another way to boost revenue is to charge men prices for kids items. I don't have to be treated that way. I am a custimer and I have donated dozen of bags of items over the years. Will go to Savers instead.

This week with my parents was all about thrifting. This was our first stop. My mom found me a Lucky…read morebrand top that was on the 50% rack. I tried it on over my clothing as they don't have a changing room. The top was a bit too baggy on me and the sleeves were kind of short, that was how the sleeves were to be, but still too short for my liking. I looked through all the clothing and sadly didn't find anything that caught my attention. This was a downer as it was our first thrift shop in our week of shopping. I was starting to feel unlucky. Things did pick up over the week and I found lots of great finds at the other thrift stores in the area. Changing rooms- Sadly they don't have any and that kept me from picking out clothing to try on. I believe they have a return policy of some type. You probably just get store credit, that's how most places work, you don't actually get your money back. if you are a frequent shopper here that can work out for you. Since I'm from out of town taking the clothing home and trying it on and trying to return it doesn't really work for me. Bathrooms- I think at one time they allowed patrons to use their restroom, but now it's limited to just employees. Parking- They are part of a strip mall and they have a private parking lot with free parking. There were plenty of parking spaces when we arrived. Monday, July 13, 2026 around Noon. Offerings: Clothing, Shoes, purses, dishes, dog and cat supplies, furniture, suitcases, ect. Dog and Cat Supplies- They have a ton of different Halloween costumes for your furry friend. There are lots of shirts for your furry friend to wear. They have baby gates, crates, food dishes, toys, ect. This is a great place to shop at if you have a furry friend. I wish I knew about this place when my little girl was still around. So sad. My parents love this thrift store. They come here on a regular basis. My parents are volunteers at Joybound and get their employee discount. I on the other hand wasn't impressed. Unless i get a new furry friend I probably won't come back on my own.

This is one of the best Goodwill's in the area because of the product that gets dropped off there and I do refurbishing and staging and I've built a business off of things that I have found there that I haven't found anywhere else in Contra Costa County so I don't know what the low stars are for, but I've had friends from Napa come over in San Francisco and they agreed this is one of the best ones so the rating system here is skewered

Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. When you are dropping off donations- it's smart to come earlier in the day as they will often have the back door closed saying they are full for donations or are not taking clothes and shoes that day. You will have a better chance of being able to drop off your items early. If you have bigger items- best to call ahead to see if they have space for them. They do have some large trucks and will pick up donations as well. I love how involved in the community they are. They partnered with Concord Feed and had a Pet Party where they hosted Contra Costa Animal Services- 6 dogs came out to represent the shelter. 2 families bought their cat supplies at the thrift store and the Concord Feed- then went to the shelter that day to adopt cats. All the dogs had interest at the event- and several found homes.

I found pair of shorts that appeared to be my size, but for $15 I didn't want to take the change of it not fitting. Prices were a little high in my option. At the same time they have a 30% off senior discount so that makes up for the high prices on Tuesday for those 55+. My parents qualify so I saved $3 on my sports bra as they paid for it. Yea for a useful gift. My mom gets a lot of her puzzles here. She's a fan of the 300-500 piece puzzles. Most puzzles are 1,000 pieces so sometimes it's slim picking, but she still finds enough to keep her coming back. My dad loves the tie selection and loves his $0.50 ties. I sticky to the closeting selection and I usually can find an article of clothing. The 30% off surely helps with my selections and it's such a treat for them to buy it for me. Thy have electronics, lamps, sewing machines, kitchen ware, furniture, clothing, and much much more. They also have a higher end selection behind glass. I've never shopped there as I'm looking for really great deals at a reasonable price. They may not have dressing rooms, but they do have a bathroom so that is a total perk.

A Le Suit was priced well over $100, along with other items. Like I'm sorry, since when did used become "luxury resale adjacent"? A few items were reasonable, but the majority felt like someone discovered a pricing gun and a dream. At that point, just say you're a boutique and stand in it. Whoever is pricing at this location either needs retraining...or a gentle reintroduction to what the word thrift actually means. A true disappointment.

It provides scholarships, internships and career development for the young people. I had been here once before last year, but I came a few minutes before closing so I didn't get a chance to see everything. I came back last week and this time I got a good look around. I didn't realize that this place is huge! They have several rooms that are all organized by different themes. They have a room for dining/kitchenware, children, men's, women's, holiday items, etc. my favorite were the two Christmas rooms in the back! It was only June, but it definitely put me in the holiday spirit! I got two Christmas items for a cheap deal! Only totaling me $5! Can't wait to come back again!
