I've had good experience here as a buyer besides some prices being way too high for a thrift store. My main issue recently is with donation. My recently donated a large amount of items while doing a clean out on a house. Some of the items were very nice and pretty valuable too. I just did not have time to sell them so I had to donate to get the house cleared out. I dealt with a guy wearing a cowboy hat, who was very nice to me. Very polite. Then my next trip I've dealt with another guy who is incredibly rude. Black dude, bald with a mustache. Everything that I was unloading, he had some negative comment to make. One thing was a Christmas tree still in its box. He said "this? Really? What the hell we gonna do with a Christmas tree in April??" then he continued to make comments about everything else. Luckily, the other guy came out with the cowboy hat and took over. And everything was fine after that. But Jesus Christ, when people are donating items for you guys to sell, you don't sit there and make shitty comments about everything they are donating. I will donate elsewhere from now on because of this employee. read more

I went to this Savers on a random Monday expecting thrift store chaos (you know, the good kind)...and instead got department store pricing with a side of audacity. A Le Suit was priced well over $100, along with other items. Like I'm sorry, since when did used become "luxury resale adjacent"? A few items were reasonable, but the majority felt like someone discovered a pricing gun and a dream. At that point, just say you're a boutique and stand in it. Whoever is pricing at this location either needs retraining...or a gentle reintroduction to what the word thrift actually means. A true disappointment. read more

Great selections, SUPER small parking lot! Prepare to do laps to find a parking spot lol

I do a lot of thrifting with my mom, and she brought me here. It was my first time here. It's a large store with lots of floor space. Everything is well organized by type of garment and or product. They have both Men's and Women's clothing and I believe they even have a children's clothing section. The only issue I have is it's more expensive than the other thrift stores we go to, thus I didn't get anything. I did see a couple of cute tops, but not many. They also have toys, household goods, and puzzles. We looked at the puzzles, but unfortunately we didn't see one that caught our eye. Maybe next time. They have a private parking lot which is niece. We went on a Wednesday afternoon around 3pm and there was still plenty of parking. My parents said that sometimes it gets really full. It's probably on Tuesdays when it's senior days and they get a discount. I believe it's 10%, but I'm not sure. If I have time and I'm in the area I'd come back as it's the biggest thrift store in Walnut Creek and who knows maybe I'll find the perfect item next time. read more

The folks that work at donations are always so nice and kind. I'm working on my OWN Japanese Death Cleaning thing, and will likely be hauling more of my own stuff there. Usually most Savers are great but this one, well let's just say I will never go back, so disgusted was I! I had thought it would be fun to check out the Rossmoor store, so I made a special trip to drop some things off and shop. But when I got to the donation section the entitled GenZer taking things didn't bother to greet me, but instead started telling me everything they wouldn't take. When I voiced my surprise since no other Savers has ever refused donations, he basically told me how his manager was picky about what they take. His tone and attitude were very rude, prompting me to take back my donations and swear to never set foot in that place, thanks to one privileged employee. Although other reviews point to their rude employees being a theme. I'll go back to the one on San Pablo Dam, with polite and welcoming employees, and recommend you do too! read more

I stopped by just to browse, didn't really have anything in mind. I bought one piece of Easter decor. Their door sign says no pets, only service animals, which I am all for. Someone's dog was barking non stop, clearly not a service animal and no service jacket. I mentioned the barking to one of the staff who thought the barking was cute. Another worker said the store should be called Savers & Dogs...clearly. She could care less and was quite rude and said the owner and manager allow dogs and wouldn't do anything about the door sign. I was trying to look for donation centers (had plenty of clothes, shoes, kitchen ware and furniture to dispose of) and I remember the closest Savers being at Dublin. So I was delighted to find one much closer to home. We had plenty to get rid of, so I was hoping it wouldn't be too crowded. Given it was a random Tuesday morning, it wasn't. All of the donation parking spots were open, so backing up the U-Haul was easy. They took everything but the furniture. (No worries, we were headed to another in hopes they're accepted.) Shout out to Derrick, the Cowboy fan who jokingly said he wouldn't accept any of my stuff just because I was wearing 49er gear! (Good thing Big Bro - a Cowboy fan himself - was with me to back me up!) In all honesty, though, Derrick was cool peeps. I asked how long they've been here. "About a year, and fun fact we're the smallest Savers in California." So it only made sense they couldn't take big items. The whole thing was a lot smoother and easier than I expected. Prices are getting out of hand. Your CEO got paid over $5,000,000 in 2024. You can afford to price things cheaper. Also the parking here is atrocious. I come down from San Francisco about once a month and today at 2PM the parking lot was full. The staff should park across the street. If you have employees taking up half the lot, what's even the point if customers can't come in and spend money? I saw a dozen cars circle the lot and leave as I was waiting. Whoever chose this location to open this store should be fired immediately. read more

First the Pro's: You don't have to drive to Dublin. They have a 30% discount for seniors on Tuesdays, and 20% every day for anyone who makes a donation. I like unusual, nonstandard things for use in mosaic art, and I usually find a lot of things I can use, and quite a few that are so great I end up keeping them. You can find real treasures here. Now the Con's. Whoever does their pricing needs a reality check. Savers is a thrift store, but some prices are as high as ordinary retail. Prices can be so high, they are not in line with thrift pricing even WITH the 30% discount. Prices for stuff behind the jewelry counter can be off the charts. Also, the place swarms with resellers, as other reviewers have pointed out...pushing their way around the store, constantly image-searching on their phones, and generally acting like jerks. Lastly, this Savers reportedly takes anything, including furniture. However, the few times I have brought them a piece of furniture, I have been met with something close to hostility. Today I took in a small two-drawer filing cabinet, and as the guy came up to load it, he looked straight at me and shook his head back and forth over and over, as if I was doing something smarmy. Really, sir? The owner and manager need to take time for a little oversight of these guys...their overall attitude is unpleasant, most days. OTOH, the people inside the store could not be nicer. read more

Thrifting is just not worth it anymore. The prices in here were insane. $6.50 for a used, crappy, Shein tank top. And up and up, and on and on. I saw a Michael Kors bag for $45. Per a 10-second google search, you can buy a Michael Kors bag on sale, FROM HIS OWN WEBSITE, NEW, for $55. Not only that - you're sorting through literal junk, often in poor condition, and on top of that, there's no fitting rooms, and you can't return it! Like why would anyone come here? The very name "Savers" is a literal joke. I left and went to Ross and found 3 really cute items, brand new, for the same price range as I found here, but that store was clean and had fitting rooms and a return policy, and the quality of the items was way higher. You can't charge these prices as if you're a cute consignment or vintage store that actually curates their items. You're a freaking thrift store. I tried to salvage my trip in by looking at some of the other goods, but they weren't good either. I was interested in one book, but it had a giant coffee stain all over it. I can just get it in better condition from the library. I used to love thrifting, and felt good about doing better for the planet, but if this is all it is now, I think I'm done. read more

I never knew this place existed until a family member told me about them. I love how I'm always able to drop off donations and only one time was I not able since they were packed. The prices are reasonable to me and I especially love the kids department for stuffed animals for my daughter. I've gotten her three Disney stuffed animals from the actual Disney Store that would normally be about $40 and here they were only about $8 each. The only downside is the parking lot is small but not too much of an issue since I can always find a spot. read more

Recently my parents made a visit to this location that they frequent weekly. This instance they were accused of stealing after there were two sticker price tags on one of the items that my mom went to pay for at checkout. The manager asked them to leave and never come back. This is utterly disgusting and unprofessional. I am ashamed at this behavior and the manager should learn to have more sense and be mature. I have spread the word and will continue to do so. I came to this savers since it just opened a few days ago. This is a smallest savers I've been too. The parking lot is a little small too. You go in there and the carts are fully stocked. I like that they had like roll carts if you don't want a big one. The book section is fully stocked. My favorite section was the kitchen and appliances they had so many good items. The men's section had a lot of great clothes. Women's section did not have a lot it was more clothes for the older crowd. There was a ton of home decor. Highly recommend coming here before buying new. read more

The person helping us was super friendly and very helpful, helping us load up items into the rolling bin. This review is just for the donation process. It's the most efficient and convenient donation process I've ever encountered in a thrift/second hand store. They have parking spots just for dropping off donations, and large green bins right at the curb to put the donations in. There are usually employees around to help if you have something big to take out of your car, and the couple of people I've interacted with have been helpful and friendly. I received a 20% off coupon to use in the store each time I've donated. They accept a wide variety of items and their website clearly lists what they accept and what they don't. This is the only place I'll be donating to from now on. (Re: the trash compactor reviews, that's very uncool. Came to check out for the first time since it's grand opening last month or so! Located in an isolated area deep up the mountain sides - very nice cozy shopping area! A bit small on the inside - which means not much to see - no large selection or many variety of things compared to the Dublin one. Very clean and organized as should be for a brand new place recently opened. Parking lot a bit small as well. Prices a bit on the higher side compared to Dublin's. Guess I'll stick to the Dublin location, but might visit once in a long while if given the chance to pass by. read more

I'm so glad a savers opened in this area-- no more driving to Dublin! They are always stacked with a great selection of home decor, clothes, accessories, and other items. If you bring donations, the staff there are friendly and helpful, always offering to help me take my bags or carry items, and you get a 20% off coupon as well as a $2 off coupon you can receive after completing a survey upon donating. Their "nice stuff" area is always completely stacked with great items, I picked up this Gucci bag replica there a few days ago for $8 and am obsessed! I also saw a great deal of items from Coach, Dooney and Burke, and even Louis Vuitton. My one complaint is that their nicer bags are often marked up way past what I'd be willing to pay at a thrift store, I've definitely seen a few that were priced at $50-150 that I don't think were worth that much. Other than their purse selection, the prices are still a little bit more inflated than other thrifts but still competitive. Wow! I have yet to make it to their highly recommended Dublin store, but this WC one doesn't disappoint!!! I was excited to find their donation process is the easiest by far of any other place. Just pull up and a bell is rung for help to come if it is not already put. I backed in, loaded 3 large carts and got a discount off my next purchase. I then parked and went in to what is the most organized and neatest retail (not just referring to thrift stores) stores I have EVER been in. The pants are hung in a new way (not just by size), and it made it so easy to look at the brand names. I bought BR jeans that looked brand new for my hubby for $14! And the book depart meant is organized like a book store with buy 4 and get the 5th free. A lot to go thru!!! I was hoping to find long sleeves for my 10 yo but no luck. Used to be a good place to donate and shop. Unfortunately now there is only one donation parking spot available - the others are blocked off with cones, and there's no queue, so it's very inconvenient to donate here. I've been taking my donations down the street to the corner thrift store or the goodwill donation center that's kitty corner from it. The store is huge and there's tons of inventory, but it's overpriced - there are no bargains to be had here. Lastly - when they play messages over the loudspeaker - it is only in spanish - never in english or any other language. WHY??? This makes zero sense. So only spanish speakers will know what the message is saying - this is an ethnically diverse area, and there are many nationalities that shop here - why limit the messages to spanish only?
