Came here after a thrifting spree to other thrift stores. There is plenty of parking towards the back. It is located in a strip mall. The shop itself is small, but packed pretty full of items, but limited selection for different sized clothing. The items were somewhat organized, but felt a bit cluttered for me. There was a clearance rack outside. Prices seemed pretty reasonable for some of the brands that were offered. I didn't interact much with the cashier, who appeared to be the only employee at the front end of the store, but she seemed nice. read more

This is a small thrift shop nestled in a plaza across the street from Sunvalley Mall's Sears entrance. I never noticed it, but got my nails done next door and wanted to check this place out. There are some decent pieces here such as coats, athletic wear, scrubs, but my favorite items to look at were the home and holiday decor. The items are also fairly priced and I got 2 plain colored blouses, a mug, and holiday ornaments. Dressing rooms are located in the back. For what it is, it's a pretty decent store, I assume most people don't come in here looking for trendy clothes to thrift, but if you needs some basics, this place will do. read more

When I lived within walking distance of Hospice Thrift Shop, it quickly became my favorite place for discovering unique treasures. The selection is exceptionally well-curated, offering a range of distinctive, high-quality items, all at amazing prices that made each find even more satisfying. The volunteers were unfailingly kind, warm, and incredibly helpful, making every visit feel like a personalized experience. The store has an inviting charm that I haven't encountered anywhere else. This location does not accept coupons/makes up rules about their coupons. I understand the money goes to charity, but they are the ones who are producing coupons that they are not honoring. I typically only give my donations to Hospice thrift, but now I am looking into better options. I went in today and was denied the use of a coupon even though the coupon says "any purchase" and their sale sign did not say "no coupons allowed". When I asked why it doesn't say on the coupon that I can't use it on sale items he said that it's because it's an old coupon...but it is not expired. And if that's the case then why not put on the sale sign that the discount can't be combined with coupons? It's easy enough. I will not be returning to this location and will stick with St Vincent's and others who are more hospitable. read more

I planned to DONATE my used two seaters sofa to Hospice Thrift shop and got a 2 weeks arrangement for a truck pick-up. They came and looked at it. They decided not to take it. It has 2 colors and it is too old to sell it. From my part I didn't understand. What is price they want to sell from this donation?? Very disappointed, I was. The chain of hospice thrift shops throughout the east bay help support Hospice of the East Bay, who helped my mother greatly when she passed. I am always happy to support them because of the work they do. That said, these shops have so much great stuff that they can become a black hole for your paycheck. I have found some absolutely remarkable buys there. My normal resistance to splurging too much is disarmed when it's the hospice shop. I love the hospice thrift store in Martinez, so when this one opened I decided to check it out! It's organized very well but the store is very small. A lot of the things they sell are overpriced, so I was happy to find out that the day I was there furniture was 20% off! I found this amazing coffee table for $40!! If I go back hopefully I can find some other items that are decent priced! read more

The Pleasant Hill Hospice has the nicest staff of any donation store. It matters. I drive from another town to donate there now.

I love this shop!! Always find something there that I enjoy in my home... it's my go to thrift shop when I'm in the mood for treasure hunting or great vintage clean clothing to buy... I have ALWAYS been greeted by friendly staff, they are very helpful ... lots of treasures big & small ... but don't go thrift shopping when your grumpy and expect to be waited on hand & foot... then leave mean or critical reviews of staff who volunteer and work for a good cause also.. .. Thank you for the response to my review. I just want to let you know that I didn't mention the roped area because the area was not roped off from the public at the time that I was there. There was no barricade of any kind from that area and clients have been walking around the area back and forth. I would have not been able to pick up the tea pot if the area was roped off, I am not in the habit of breaking through any barrier especially if there's a clear sign stating the area is off limits. There was no sign or rope present in that area that day. read more

This is a nice little shop with a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. It's very clean and seems more like a vintage shop than a thrift store. The prices reflect this as well, but I think the quality is worth the price. This store carries beautiful furniture, artwork, and china. It also has clothing including a vast collection of scarves. There are many clean books and DVDs as well. Finally, there is a little craft section in the back that always has something fun to do. It's worth a look. read more

She helped me find several clothing items that work great together and at great prices. They also had some unique furniture pieces that I loved, also at very reasonable prices. This thrift store is one of the best in this area! It's beautifully decorated, and one gets the feeling it's more like a boutique than a second hand store.
