My outlet haul minus a few things.
    Janine L.

Went here for the first time this week. I had been to a goodwill outlet before but it was almost 20 years ago and at a different location. This is the closest location to me which is about an hour and 20 min drive, would be nice if they had a closer location. The parking lot is quite small so be prepared to maybe wait for a parking spot. Luckily my mom was with me so she waited for a spot while I went inside, she got lucky and got a parking spot pretty quick because several people were waiting for one. Once your inside there are giant bins mostly full of clothing. They also have shoe bins, but they aren't always out and some bins with toys and random items. Everything is by the pound so you can get a really good deal. Clothing and shoes were $1.79 a pound. They rotate the bins every so often 2 rows at a time, it seemed to be about every hour they did the rotations. Big crowds of people line up when they bring the bins out to be the first to go through them so it gets a little crazy. It all seemed very organized though and the employees were nice and all the shoppers were well behaved because I have heard some horror stories. Since most people are busy waiting and looking through the new bins it can be pretty easy to have a bin to yourself if you don't wanna be near everybody else. Some people stay here all day and just wait for the new bins to come out. Not sure how they do that, after 4 hours here I was exhausted. It is also just very overwhelming but a fun experience too. Be prepared that most the stuff here is junk, but there are also treasures to be had. I got a good haul of 29lbs of clothing including a couple nice pairs of shoes. You push your cart up on this big scale to weigh it. They have nice public restrooms as well. I would probably go again but not very often because it is so far, and it's hit or miss if you can find good things.

    A thrifters dream come true.

Well I'm here on vacation from Richmond, BC and between the sightseeing, buffets and national parks, I seem to be coming here a couple times in the last 4 days...ya. The previous reviews made me nervous, but all was fine. The first day was a lot of observing what other people were doing and staying away from the new bins until the crowd cleared. Come with a good attitude and it'll be a fun experience. Oh yea give yourself at least two hours to shop. Happy digging.

They don't communicate with residents are even each other. They are constantly late for appointments if they even show up at all, they don't respond to phone calls, emails or requests. I was never informed of all the great programs, employment opportunities and classes they brag about online. If you are going to live in one of their units I would definitely suggest saving all of your rent receipts because they're constantly losing rent checks or not entering it into the computer. I was overcharged rent on three separate occasions and never credited back the amount I was owed in the computer so they tried to say that I owed rent from years prior, even when having a rent receipt from their office signed by them. They charge everyone for a mandatory "carpet cleaning" fee when they never clean the carpets or replace them. They constantly have you put different dates on paperwork when signing and they never get it right the first time. A lot of the management is very rude especially Janet rainwater. I've heard her tell people that they can go back to "living in their car" or "can be homeless again". They know that people living in housing hope units have nowhere else to go and they take advantage of that fact and abuse it. There is a rare few people working for them that do care but for the most part they're incompetent and to say management is a shit show is a great understatement.

We used to really like Bella's Voice and shopped there regularly after moving to Lynnwood in 2024…read more We have spent close to $3,000. That changed with one visit which occurred a month ago. Look at the photos for the condition of a rug they sold. At the Shoreline store, I purchased a rug that was tightly rolled and sealed with tape, so there was no way to inspect it at the store. When I got it home and opened it, it was in unacceptable condition: heavily stained, paint marks, and a strong cigarette odor. This is not an item that should have been on the sales floor. I brought it back within a week with the tag attached and receipt in hand. The manager Leonora did not start by looking at the condition. Instead, she went straight to finding reasons to deny the return. First saying there was no tag (there was), then saying they don't accept returns on "furniture." At no point did she engage with the actual issue. When I tried to show her why I was returning it, another employee inserted herself and escalated the interaction. I did raise my voice out of frustration (my voice carries) but I made no threats and was trying to explain a legitimate issue. Rather than hearing the concern or working toward a solution, the situation escalated quickly. The manager told me to leave or the police would be called for CRIMINALLY TRESSPASSING, and that is exactly what happened. Police were called over a return. I tried to de-escalate and offered reasonable solutions (exchange or completing my purchase), but the manager declined and stayed focused on denying the return and calling the police to have us removed for CRIMINAL TRESSPASSING! Even the responding officer looked at the rug and attempted to find an amicable resolution. My daughter, who was not involved in the interaction, was also threatened with trespass, which was upsetting and unnecessary. This should have been straightforward customer service: 1. The item was not in acceptable condition and the condition was against their own donation policy. 2. It was packaged in a way that prevented inspection 3. A reasonable review could have resolved it Instead, it escalated into a situation involving publicly funded law enforcement over a defective item. As a nonprofit serving the community, I would expect a greater emphasis on resolving issues directly rather than relying on public resources to shut down a legitimate concern. For a place called Bella's Voice, it was surprising how quickly the conversation was shut down. The executive director has chosen to ignore my formal complaint. Photos are attached so others can judge the condition for themselves.

I absolutely love thrifting and I'm mildly upset that I didn't find out about Bella's Voice sooner!…read moreIt is, without a doubt, my new go-to for second-hand goodies, especially because it's so close to me. I believe all proceeds also go to animal welfare, so this place is a win-win. Store & Selection: (5/5) Upon entering, it's definitely smaller than most thrift stores I've gone to, especially compared to big names like Value Village and Goodwill. Do not let that turn you off! The selection here is AMAZING and I love how the racks are organized by size and color. I think I've walked out with an armful of stuff each time I've gone. Service: (5/5) Everyone here is really nice and they make checking out very quick. Other notes: Not sure exactly how their discount system works and how often it changes, but all their stuff is tagged by color for a corresponding discount. This place is definitely cheaper than other thrift stores, which is great if you're in a pinch.
