This is my go to Goodwill! I keep coming back because I have so many good finds. My only complaints is things that come in sets are priced separately, making it more expensive which I don't understand. I think prices could be worked on more , I have definitely put things back that I would've bought if I thought it was worth the price. Younger staff is always nice and welcoming. There was this one lady manager who I would not be excited to see whenever I had a return to make but I have not seen her in a while. Great customer service! You are welcomed by this really fresh smell and everything is well organized. Not junky like some thrift stores. The prices are also reasonable. Some thrift stores can charge new store prices, but not this one. We found some wonderful house wear items for my daughter's new place and cute accessories, and blouses. I have found a few things at this Goodwill. However, they would do much better sales if they had fitting rooms. And if you aren't going to have any fitting rooms then at least have some mirrors hung somewhere so you can look at some of the clothes or shoes you CAN try on. There was not one mirror to be found. So, I donate here a lot, and rarely, I will buy something here. I have seen complaints that the prices "are too high" in reviews here on Yelp and I personally have never seen anything over priced. Nor do I care if they "charge too much" for the stuff I donate. If I wanted to sell my stuff, I would do so on Ebay.. I take it up there because i do not want to deal with it. If they charge a price and people pay it, then that is on the person buying the goods to decide if it is a good value or not. If you don't like it, don't shop there. Furthermore, I could care less if they make a profit on the stuff I donate. If they use that profit to hire more employees and move more donations through the store, then that is good for the store, and good for the employees that have jobs there. read more

Despite everything in life currently being as hectic as it is, all the workers there today were so pleasant and helpful. It's not the biggest Goodwill in the Monocacy Valley group, but we still found needs and treasures in a clean environment with fun music. I am a MANCHESTER Resident that used to frequent this location... I have been trying to get money that they owe me for about 2 years. Spoke with the Manager James explained the situation and found him to be un - interested and always unavailable when we did speak I was told my bank needs to pay me back. I spoke to my bank they owe me nothing. Basically Goodwill was having internal issues with the credit card machine and I paid cash and was charged on my bank debit card as well. VERY DISGUSTED with the take the money and run way of doing business. So I give them 00000 stars.... And only gave 1 star to leave review - unhappy consumer and X - customer for life.............. read more

I tried to enter the Goodwill store in Hampstead Maryland this evening (Thursday, October 5, 2017) a few minutes before they close and I was greeted with the employee yelling out, "Ma'am, we're closed!" When I said oh you're closed (because of course the door was not locked and there was no sign that said they were closed)? She said, "well in three minutes!" I didn't say another word and left. I love goodwills but this one.... I travel to different goodwills on the east coast for certain reasons and ive never seen prices this high ever at any goodwill.Even when i was there ive heard other shoppers talking about how expensive how stuff is for example... First they had a generic my little pony from the dollar store in the glass case for 6.00, A kids board game from tje 1980s for 42.00$, old video game cartridges for 30-40$,used generic knock off USED perfumes for 10$ its just crazy.Someone told me they look everything up on ebay and charge online prices... This is a goodwill not an online store everythings donated to them for free and they charge this much i think this store is only here for the profit.I also witnessed a young lady asking about a belt and the girl said it was 30$ and the lady said Are you f@$!@& kidding me and walked out!!! I would not donate here all they do is take your items and charge an extreme amount for it to make a profit.After seeing the prices in here i felt like walking outside and making sure i was in the goodwill and not in nordstroms. I visited 2 other goodwills in the area and found THE SAME EXACT old game cartridge for 3$ and this one was asking 35$ for it..Also the other ones in that area were more crowded Maybe people are starting to realize that the hampstead one is unreal..I myself will not be back to this one and i dont suggest shopping here at all I would leave zero stars if possible.... read more
