This Goodwill was amazing! HUGE selection with lots of new clothes with tags. Also has LOTS of Aloha shirts and Aloha dresses. Prices vary with the how high end the product is or if it has tags on it but it's easy to find cheaper things as well. read more

I have only donated to this location and haven't shopped here. This is my favorite place to donate because the drive thru donation feature makes donating so easy. The workers are courteous. Make sure you're not donating anything dirty or rusty because they will not accept it. Wipe and wash everything before you bring it. read more

not the best variety of items, mostly really outdated decor and parking can be a bit of a nightmare depending on what time you go.

I went to Goodwill today. I was in the area to drop my princess dog off for a much needed grooming and decided it's International Women's Day, so I should buy myself something. Goodwill has: Crappy street parking only Some people with mental health issues hanging out around the entrance DEALS Nice Employees Goodwill does not have: Pretentious attitudes Clothes in any sort of size order True story, I used to be a corporate business manager. I was very good at my soul sucking job and got excellent reviews for my work. One day, my manager pulled me into her office for "a chat". "Chats" are bad news. Apparently there had been some complaints about me "from the top". (The top's office was around the corner from my own.) Was it my work ethic? No. Was it my attendance? No. Was it my preference to work individually? No. What was this chat about? My clothes. Said corporate office was in a very "exclusive" suburb of DC. Most of the employees lived in "exclusive" apartment buildings and drove "exclusive" cars and wore "exclusive" clothes to work. I lived in a basement apartment in a retirement community and shopped at Target and drove an old truck. I was not "exclusive". "The top" was upset that I was not "fitting in". Apparently, multiple others near "the top" had also commented on my lack of "exclusiveness". I was told that I was extremely good at what I did, but I needed to get a new wardrobe (top to bottom) immediately. I calmly accepted my manager's "chat", walked to my truck, called my husband, and cussed a blue streak. My clothes fit properly and were appropriate for the environment (business casual), but because they said Target on the tag and not Armani or Saks, I was in trouble. I drove to TJ Maxx and Macy's and spend far more than I was comfortable with on clothes that were more "exclusive". Never got a complaint again. My mother used to drag me to thrift stores as a child and all of my clothes were either handmade (poorly, my mom is no seamstress) or pre-owned. I hated it. Then I started buying my own clothes when I turned 16 and got a job. Good, new clothes are stupid expensive. Now, I'm (hopefully) about to reenter the professional workforce. I'll be expected to wear business casual clothes, again. I first stopped at this Goodwill on a whim because I had seen Janice's write-up on her thrift list. This is nothing like the thrift stores I was dragged to in rural North Carolina. It's much larger and they actually have "exclusive" clothes... for $5. Do I care that someone wore it before me? Hell no, I'm happy to throw those clothes in the wash and carry on. Will the other corporate vampires pick on me for shopping at Goodwill? Maybe, but I'll be the one laughing when I look at my bank account. I've bought enough tops, slacks, and skirts here that I have business casual wear coming out of my ears. I plan to make another visit soon (more tops!). And about that miserable job? It paid the bills, but I started going gray (white, actually) from the stress and I had a mental breakdown in a Buffalo Wild Wings and the waiter thought my husband was dumping me and DH was furious that the waiter gave him dirty looks while I alternately sobbed over a chicken salad at the table and over a toilet in the bathroom. The waiter hugged me when we left and told me I would be ok. I quit the job and took something that paid much less, forced me into a 3 hour commute, and made me happy to go to work everyday. read more

I will officially drop goodwill off my to do list. Stores that I have been visiting officially only sell JUNK. I believe all the good stuff is being sold somewhere else. Also nothing goes back into the community!!!!!! Its all profit to them. Salvation Army is the way to go sadly not too many stores. Good stuff, rehab centers, giving back to community.....awesome. read more

They sell broken things and don't even allow you to return it... I used to shop there a lot but won't return there anymore. I paid $15 for something who was broken and when I opened the box at home I realized it was broken, I went back there and told them it was broken but i passed the 3 days authorized return so they didn't allow me to return it, they just said that they can trash it for me. May be they are going to try to sell it to someone else... read more

This location has always been my favorite place to visit. Parking is a bit tough to find but it's worth it! Today was a bit different because I guess they're under construction. To enter the store there's a sign that you go through to the back and in the back there are blue bins everywhere and it's mostly clothes and household items. It looked strangely small and I really thought I was going to walk out with nothing but give it a chance! It's spacious and I'm sure people knew to keep their distance. If you're a germaphobe, I do recommend bringing gloves because some items were dusty but it was truly an amazing feel for going through bins and finding unique things. I do highly wanted to praise the cashier today and I wish I had gotten her name!! There was a nasty customer yelling at her because she had told him he had to take out his items from this bucket so that way she can calculate what he had but gave her attitude and said to just ring it up! SHAME SHAME on that man! She kept her composure and told him that she's just doing her job. I guess this guy reallly believed she had day vision and can see through his bucket of stuff. She's a local Aunty whose really friendly and kind! And she definitely does know how to do her job right! I went around 12:30-12:58pm today. Remember that everything is second hand owned from other people and you really don't know who or what touched those items but that's a risk YOU are taking and so are the Goodwill employees. If you have a problem with touching certain things or bringing them out of your bag/bucket then please do not visit and stay your rude selves at home. read more

Really, really bad. The selection was similar to the Waialua store, tired, worn, old stuff. Not worth going thru. In addition the staff is terribly unhelpful. read more

It's no surprise that Goodwill doesn't check their Yelp reviews.... I stopped in yesterday to pick up a few CDs for when the boyfriend and I are cruising North Shore with no radio signal. I thought $1.99 was a bit much to be asking for a used CD that is not guaranteed to work, but had purchased a few in the past and thought I'd give it another try. Well, to my surprise, they have raised the price to $2.99 per CD. The cashier tried to explain to me that something in the system changed, but I wasn't having it. I said no thank you and left. I'll go somewhere else where used CDs are $1. read more

Classic goodwill...lots of stuff to rummage through but you need the time and patience to do so. They have awesome deals certain days of the week though, so make sure you take advantage of those to make your shopping experience extra cheap! I love being able to donate my old stuff here but I rarely have the time to go through the shop. It seems like it used to be organized a bit better (I'm specifically referring to women's clothing) but it seemed extra confusing the last time I went in. Go in with time to spare and a small army of good shopping friends to get the most out of your goodwill experience! read more

This is for the recycling Goodwill location on Young St.- Ezra was off today but the new girl was working - one guy is ahead of me unloading his very full SUV - I also have a VERY FULL SUV from two LARGE events this weekend - I start sorting all my things. The girl sweeps up and hangs her sign - I think "smoke or pee break" and she walks away. 4 or 5 more people come with smaller loads - I move my trashcans up, I need to get to a dentist appt.......the girl is not coming back, not coming back, not coming back.....the guy behind me goes into Goodwill and starts shouting how he never gets his full money's worth. I start walking around to see if I can find girl smoking? Nope cannot find her - 20, 30 minutes pass now I gotta go - a lady walks over from Goodwill - Oh - did the worker not mention she was going on a ONE HOUR LUNCH? NO she did not bother to mention that to the man ahead of me or myself as we were unloading our very full vehicles!!!!!!! So I re-loaded my car up and was 5 minutes late for my dentist and sticky sweaty and hungry - and angry! I will never go there again! Ezra is nice I've even bought him lunch before - but you think the girl could have mentioned she was leaving for an hour - how rude! read more

We walked here from Waikiki. Boy was that a long walk. This goodwill doesn't look like its in the best of neighborhoods but it has everything that a standard goodwill has. They actually have a lot of clothing and about a lifetime's worth of Hawaiian shirts. If you need a hawaiian shirt go here!!! Not much for bric-a-bric, electronics or furniture, but if you need some clothing grab it here. I got a shirt for 1.99 which was all I could muster. The staff was very nice and helpful but this was not a top tier goodwill. Bargain hunters look elsewhere. read more

Love goodwill in general prices are right and it's always fun just to walk around and look. The parking isn't that great and I thought some of the prices were high for used goods I bought a cupcake pan for $6.99 I can buy a new one for $9.99 at Walmart but there cause is good so I figured I would rather give them the money. I did find a jeans skirt for $3.99 which was really cute and I bought two kids shirt each for the same price all good brand names. I prefer the other goodwills because of there locations but this one defiantly had more selection of household items if that's what you are looking for. read more

I just went to this Goodwill for the first time today....it's great. Huge, tons of decent clothing, and a good selection of 99 cent books. Before we moved here, I donated many trucklaods of clothing and household items, and wanted to show my young daughters what "thrifting" was all about--from the retail side this time. I was impressed with the selection of clothing and the prices were so cheap. 2 cool button-down shirts for my (hip) husband, two skirts for me, two (non-worn, tags still on, 1 Target, 1 Nike) kids' bathing suits, 1 sweater, four new plastic plates (for kids), two soup bowls, a toy horse, a purse, some rad old-school Sesame street pants from the 70s, a new kids' skirt....all for about $50. Can't beat that. I haven't yet donated here, but it sounds easy to do, which is handy. As far as parking, we took the bus, so that was a non-issue, and the bus stop was really close. Now, if only my husband would stop teasing me about buying a bus pass with the first goal of taking our kids to the Goodwill.... All in all, good thrift shop, not a huge selection of furniture, but tons of clothes and good prices. I'll go back for sure. Another plus: they accept credit cards AND give a military discount. read more

The prices were okay but i couldn't help but notice that majority of the clothing had stains or holes in it. There was a shirt with marker stains on it like a child tried to draw on it and they were asking 4 dollars for it. I just thought that was ridiculous. read more

Not only do I donate regularly to GW but I'm a fan of shopping here as well. It's not in a "bad" neighborhood as a tourist suggested...but I guess if you're a mainlander, that's what you might think. It's more in an older, but safe business type district. They have cleaned up a bit from a few years ago so although it's not great, it is better. From my last experience, it doesn't smell foul at all. But hey look, this isn't Nordstroms okay so it won't have the same level of cleanliness cause it's in a really old building. I have found many bargains such as brand new mens pants for the hubs. Nice looking aloha shirts, jeans and tops for myself and kitchen stuff as well! Why pay $40-$60 for a pair of blue jeans when I can get the same thing here for like $7! And I have found some really nice, barely worn designer stuff too. The only things I won't buy are undergarments and shoes, uh, don't like the thought of someone elses toe-jams in them! Just this weekend I bought my son a winter coat since we're headed to the mainland in the winter. And our total bill was $60 for eight pieces of winter clothing! Great buy for stuff we may never wear again! Woohoo! I do keep it a secret that I shop here...only a handfull of people know of my adventures in thrift store shopping, and only because THEY shop in them too! read more

I usually go to the Kaimuki Goodwill but now I work relatively close to the Beretania one, so I thought I would stop by after work one day. It was dirty and disorganized. It is a smaller location than the Kaimuki store, but even so, they didn't seem to really have much. There were a bunch of workers in the second half of the store not really helping anyone, but only one guy at the register who didn't seem like he was supposed to be a cashier at all. This place just felt dirty the whole time I was in there. If you want to go to Goodwill, skip this location at all cost. Go to Kaimuki, it's a lot nicer. Go to Pearl City, it's larger and somehow the open warehouse is still cleaner than the Beretania store. read more

Although super busy, receiving area personnel were very gracious and were quickly working ..

I shop here on a regular for running shorts, and also drop donations and recyclables off. The prices are very good, and I can always count on finding good things to run in. read more

the guys at the drive thru are awesome! so gentlemen like, they refuse to have you step outta car to lift a single box. my second time around, same awesomeness! Aside from clothes, they also take small dishes to large appliances and furniture. Great way to declutter and get that SpringCleaning done...and its tax deductible! Drop-off-Drive-Thru is so convenient, but it's one-way thru on Young St. so you'd have to patiently wait if someone in front of you got their entire house in they truck!! read more

What a great place to shop.....many items to choose from....you want a deal....you must check em out....they got a little of everything

I didn't have much luck in the women's clothing section but I did find some nice dishes and coffee mugs in the housewares section. Nothing here really blew me away and I didn't find any hidden treasures. I felt like someone else already sifted through everything and found all the good stuff and I was just hunting through the leftovers. read more

I found to many cute dresses here!! I bought 4 dresses and 2 shirts for under 30$. I am a broke ass tourist and I was in heaven here!!

This location has so much kitchen stuff and household things! Its kind of hard shopping for clothes because they sort it by color, not size. Dresses are all in two or theee racks and youll have to go through each piece of clothing to check if it fits you or not. The upstairs shoe section is soo hot, the big fan was blowing hot air! I would go here again if i had more time, mainly for the household things... read more

Incredible selection of Misc items downstairs! Plenty of hidden treasures here and you can't beat the prices! Good place to find your costumes! read more

My partner loves to thrift shop so wanted to indulge him even while on vacation. This is a great place to thrift. It's much larger than you'd expect as the non-clothing sections are located down some outdoor backstairs under a covered area. It makes for looking for the home wares not so comfortable as you have to deal with the weather. It' s warm and humid inside the store, but heck you have that just about everywhere! Found some great buys! Just like any thrift shop, you have to have patience when looking, but the payoff can be awesome! read more

Came here looking for knick knacks and all there was was a crap ton of clothing. Oh and parking meter outside sucks.

Very large and tidy second hand shop with long hours. Clean and well served by a friendly staff. Small parking lot on rear side. Metered in front (but parking prohibited between 3:30pm-5:30pm). read more

First time at this location and the selection was alright. I still prefer the location in Aiea. Parking is terrible unless you like metered street parking. There is a VERY small lot in the back of the building..I had to wait for a stall to open up. There was also lots of graffiti in the dressing rooms. However, this one still had its perks: -Shoe section was great! Organized by color and kept neat. Found a great pair of flats with minimal wear. -The cashier was very nice! -Found a fake Gucci purse for 7$! Never used! Would I go there again? Maybe I wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but if I was in the area, possibly. read more

What is particularly good about this location is the drive thru donation location on the Young Street side. Off the main traffic route, easy to drive inside (covered in case its raining), drop off your donations and easy to get back on Young Street. read more

We each had a basket full of items. Upon checkout we asked if they had bags for our items as it was raining out. The young male checker loudly and rudely told us they did not have bags and it was too bad if we didn't bring our own. Needless to say our small group of shoppers will never return. Truth be known Ross and Wal-Mart are the same price for clothing now that goodwill has doubled and in cases tripled their clothing prices. read more

Not much aloha here when you donate goods. I used the drive thru. When I pulled in there was someone working in the area but he did not acknowledge me in any way. So I got out and started unloading things myself. Finally he came over, did not greet me at all but started looking at my stuff and telling me what they wouldn't take (no carseats). When everything was unloaded, he asked me if I wanted a receipt which he did give to me but no thank you. Next time I'll go to Salvation Army in Kailua. It's less convenient but they are more helpful and seem to appreciate your donations. read more

The donation drive thru for this center was terrible. Yes, it was convenient. But the helpers were so unbelievably unfriendly. We said hello, good morning, and asked where can we put things. They just glared. Not a smile, or a word spoken. Donating never felt so terrible. Not that I did for an ego boost. But a "hey! You can toss it over there. Thanks" would have been nice. Everything was just so unpleasant. read more

My husband would always bring our cans for recycling to the redemption center at this goodwill and we would always get about $60.00 for two trash cans full, but for some "reason" when I brought in almost three full trash cans worth I get only $39.00????? Something seems fishy with the guys that receive the recycling! Well I've lost all trust for this company and will not be bringing my recycling here anymore. read more

This Goodwill is one of my favorite stores to checkout. If you enjoy thrifting, I'd recommend this store. They seem to have donations coming in on a daily basis and always restocking and putting out new things that are coming in or came in days before. I especially like to thrift around Halloween time because it's a good place to find items to throw together your costume ideas. Things are a hit or miss, but you'd be amazed at what you find in this store along with many of the other thrift stores. There are some things you will find that are brand new with tags. Things that were once bought for others as gifts most likely that they didn't use or didn't care for. You can scoop up some deals. Not all the clothing are used, some are new and gently used if anything, but if you are willing to go through the racks and have to patience to then you can get some good stuff. Both clothing and housewares as well as books and shoes and some furniture from time to time. Go down and check this store out! They have a very small parking lot on a side street, but if there is no parking there then you will have to pay and park at the metered parking along Beretania. read more

great finds here. got a tori richard dress for $7, and saks 5th ave. for $7 also. :)

Well run and organized store, thanks in part, to people like Bill, who have been working there long time. Not overpriced like some of the other locations, items are priced to move. The housewares section downstairs gets kind of gnarly when it rains, an obvious roof leak or drainage issue . They would do well to build a metal roof over the existing back end of the building, then open the entire place up. Beware! It's a treasure hunters battleground, and these folks get downright rude when the bins of gold are pushed out onto the floor, digging right into the bins before the items get put on a shelf. One time, had one old Pake lady grab an item right outa my basket when I turned around! One out of ten times, you will find something amazingly cool. My biggest score here was an original Wyland Sculpture, signed and everything, for 6.99! There are always a few shady looking characters hanging out front, but they are harmless. To all you inconsiderate double parkers who feel privileged to just block people in the back parking lot- beeg middle finga fo you! I've had to wait 15 minutes for someone to move there illegally parked car before, then they look at you like you're the crazy one! Next time I jus gunna smash your car an ak like I Neva see em! I think the city and county should change the parking time cutoff of the meters out front after 330. No need beratania 4 Lane highway! Love this store, hope corporate funds a new roof for the back! read more

I wanted to share a great treasure hunting spot for fellow collectors or second hand dealers. I've been shopping here on and off for years. I travel alot and have found this store is the only one that lets out authentic high end designer purses, accessories and shoes (Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Ferragamo) all way under $75.00. Genuine 14k and 18k gold fine jewelry and watches can be found here oftentimes under $20.00 some of the jewelry are large and heavy. The only problem I've had shopping here is from another customer an older Asian woman with long hair who's here Monday-Saturday (She's sells her goods at the stadium on Sunday) pretty much for 7-8 hours. If you're not easily intimidated or shy you could score some really nice stuff. Happy Hunting! read more
