Founded in the fall of 2009 the Rabbit Hole is located across the street from City Hall. There is plenty of free street parking available. According to the Rabbit Hole they specialize in clothing and accessories from the "50's-80's with some older and newer things sprinkled in". Every vintage piece of clothing is hand picked. They also offer new clothing and jewelry. A small display in the front of the store held china and glass ware. In addition to the small store they also sell online with a selection of new clothes. When I walked into the store my first thought was that I wished this was how my closet looked. Everything was so artfully arranged. The New Times has listed the Rabbit Hole as one of the best vintage stores in Miami. I almost left with a brown leather bag for $100 but I just couldn't justify the expense right now. They went through everything in front of me, placed what they wanted in a pile and offered $50. Then asked me to go through the pile, re negotiate if necessary, or take anything out that I don't wanna. It was a great first experience selling clothes and I'll definitely be back to buy and sell!

The thrift store is located on the side of the property. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 9 to 2. Thrifty Treasures has a small section of clothing. I was most interested in their bric-à-brac section which contained some vintage items. More expensive items were kept in a glass cabinet near the check out. They even had a few pieces of furniture. A side room contains children clothing, books, and toys. I ended up picking up some building magnets for the kids at school for only $4. Which leads me to why I love church thrift stores so much, they are always willing to bargain. Everything in the store was very reasonably priced and you can always make your own price suggestions. This isn't a huge thrift store but it was really fun to explore. They had some unique things and of course the inventory will always change depending on what people donate. You can support a worthy cause, find a treasure, and help the planet by keeping items out of the landfill all by thrifting. Come and check them out.

This a pop up rock T-shirt vintage shop in the Aventura mall. It is located across from the model…read moretrain display. My friend alerted me to its presence or I might have walked right past it. Jara Eisen is the designer of the brand. Jara is a breast cancer survivor and her company supports the charity Fight Like a Girl. The idea for SoJara came to her when she and her daughter were unpacking a box and found an old shirt from a breast cancer walk they did and they didn't have the heart to throw it out. Instead Jara cut it up and sewed it on to a cozy flannel shirt. Now she's doing the same thing with band T's. It is her mission to "spread good vibes through inspirational messages and love for Rock & Roll". I think this is an awesome idea. All the shirts are sourced by Jara. Bands they had included my favorite Guns N' Roses, Def Leppard which was my first ever concert, as well as Metallica, The Who, The Beatles, and Nirvana to name just a few. Some of the band T- shirts have been repurposed and put on the back of vintage jackets and flannel plaid shirts. The also had hats, stickers, and jewelry. It definitely made me feel old that shirts from concerts of my era are now vintage. It also made start thinking about where my old shirts were. My daughter never wanted them although she did steal her father's Lollapalooza shirt. I guess she thinks he was cooler than me. LOL Coming here brought back so many memories about concerts I had gone to and how excited I was to wear the shirt the next day in high school. The aisles are super tight and the words "lightly used items" should not be used to describe the merch in this store. Very good pricing, but dont expect to find a rare hidden gem in good condition at this thrift store.
